Serendipity

Chapter 2-
Coraline’s POV:
“Who’s taken my gym shoes?” I yelled from my changing cubicle.
What a cocky basted! Mya was right about him thats for sure. Waltzing up to the table and flirting with every single one of us, and Mya and I were basically the only one’s who didn’t fall for it.

I finished getting dressed and walked over to my sports bag. I rolled my eyes as I looked over to Roxy who was staring after the pair who had just left for Mya’s house. I clicked my fingers in front of her face a few times which made her snap out of her trance with a jump and a small pout.

“Why does Mya get to go home with a hot British boy while we get stuck in double P.E?” She grumbled grabbing her bag as the teacher called us out.

“Consider yourself lucky, would you want to take care of a guy like that for 6 months?” I said.

“If he looked anything like Harry, then I would gladly take care of him for 6 months.” Roxy smirked in return.

“Ditto!” Millie said jumping into the conversation, walking out of the change room.

“Ok girls, some ball skills today.” Our P.E teacher, Miss Carter said enthusiastically.

“That’s what she said!” Millie laughed.

“Kill me now.” I mumbled as I walked slowly to the sports oval.

“Do you think he has big feet? I’ve seen his hands, they’re pretty big!” Millie ponded walking beside us.

“MILLIE!” I nudged her in shock, passing the many trees on the grass area.

“What? I’m just curious?” She smirked as we approached the class and teacher.

“I wonder if his friends are just as cute?” Millie spoke out loud.

“God, so they have multiplied? Frankly I couldn’t give a mothering fucking ass, they could die for all I care and bitch, I wouldn’t feel guilty! Just saying!” Nadine bounced her netball.

“Thank you!” I yelled a bit too loud.

“I’ve seen him talk to a guy, apparently his name is Lewis or Louis, something like that and I swear, he has the best bum ever!” Annie smirked.
Roxy and Annie high fived each other, “Ew!” I shook my head.

“CORALINE! GRAB THE BALL!” I heard Miss Carter yell at me as I saw the ball roll past me.

“Oh look, there goes the ball...and all the fucks I give about P.E.” I sighed, earning a laugh out of my friends.

HOUR AND A HALF MINUTES LATER:

“Jesus Christ! Was that just me or did that lesson go for longer than it should have, because I swear I was ready to jump over the school fence just to get out of there.” I blurted out as we all walked out of the change rooms, dressed back into our normal school clothes.

“P.E always goes slowly but you’re right, felt like I was on the mother f*cking titanic, theres a hope I will live then I think about it and theres no hope!!!” Nadine sighed rubbing her temples.

“Maybe it was because Mya wasn’t there to crack jokes every five seconds.” Annie suggested shrugging her shoulders.

“Well what ever it was, I don’t want it to happen again, I don’t think I can take another lesson like that.” Roxy said dumping her head on Annie’s shoulder.

“Come on Roxy, no time for naps you know we have to Mya’s house to finish off this Religion assignment.” I said grabbing her arm and pulling her forward.

“But I’m ‘le tired’” She whined.

“But I ‘le don’t care’, anyways, Harry’s going to be there.” I said into her ear, the change in composure was laughable. She straighten up fixing up her hair in the process and her eyes were now open wider than they were before. Plus her walking sped up.

“Well come on then, what are we waiting for we have an assignment to finish.” Roxy said pulling my arm along with her while the rest of us laughed.

“Well thats a first, Roxy eager to do an assignment.” Annie giggled.

“Good luck Coraline.” Millie and Nadine yelled out together as I continued to get dragged up the stairs and further and further away from the oval. As we got closer to the gate at the front of the school, I realised that the two of us had other places to be before we left for Mya’s.

“Where are you taking me? I have an SRC meeting in the library, and you have costume rehearsal for your drama performance.” I had to shouted at her. The bell had gone of us to leave, so naturally there was heaps of people everywhere...like a packed out tube.
Roxy and I walked through the massive crowd of people to get to the hall for Roxy’s rehearsal. I left her at the hall, and walked to the library. Luckily when I arrived, Catarina, the SRC prefect and the teachers were the only ones in the library.

This was going to be fun!!

AT MYA’S HOUSE:

“Now Roxy, I really don’t care if he looks like an fucking sex god, NO flirting! Understood?!” I asked Roxy before we opened the door to Mya’s house.

“What ever...I can still stare.” She smirked at me.

“Can it!” I nudged her.

I knocked on Mya’s front door waiting for her to answer.

“Hiya!” Mya smiled, opening the door, “Come on in.” She greeted us.

We both walked in and set our bags by the door. We walked down the hallway till we reached the kitchen which had Mrs Walters cooking and the f-tard, Harry sitting on an island stool.

“Hi Harry.” Roxy sweetly smiled at him.

“Hey babe.” He got up and hugged her.

“Great. Look what the wind blew in.” I crossed my arms and stared at Harry.

“Nice to see you too Caroline.” He smiled, stepping away from Roxy.

“It’s Coraline, not Caroline.” I pointed out.

“Yeah but the thing is... I don’t care.” He shrugged.

“Ok, break it up.” Roxy stepped in front of me before I went all ‘Kingsley’ on him.

“Anyways,” I looked away from him, “Hi Libby.” I smiled as I approached Mya’s mum.

“Hi love.” She stopped cooking and hugged me, “How you going?”

“Great, just got this assessment to do.” I sighed.

“Do you guys want to stay for dinner?” Libby offered.

“We don’t wont to intrude-” Roxy replied.

“Nonsense, your always welcome.” Libby smiled.

“Fun.” Roxy smiled at Harry.

“Um, Libby...” Harry started.

She turned around from the stove, “Yes, dear?”

“Er well Miss Cole suggested because all five of the exchange students came from different places around the UK that we should all get to know each other better before our first day, so I invited them over here.” He asked innocently.

“You have got to be shitting me!” Mya groaned.

“LANGUAGE!” Libby frowned, “It’s ok, just next time ask before hand...may I ask how many is coming over?”

“Just four?” He stated.

“Okay, should be fine.” Libby smiled.

“I’m not too sure about this.” I whispered to Mya.

“Me either.” She whispered back.

Harry’s POV:
It was only ten minutes until the boys came. I had invited all of the other exchange students over Liam, Niall, Zayn and Louis. I had spoken to them today at lunch and they seem like awesome guys.

*Knock, Knock*

“I’LL GET IT!” Mya and I both screamed.

We both looked at each other and ran for the door. I was nearly there until she tripped me which sent me flying to the ground.

“MYA!” I yelled in pain.

“Sucked in!” She smirked at me from the door, “Pay back.” She said as she opened the door to
reveal the boys.

“You told me she was cute Harry, you forgot to mention fit as well.” I heard Louis say.

“Um, hi to you too,” She stared at them, “Come in,” She moved away from the door and walked past me, I was lying on the floor, “Their all yours Styles.”

I stood up and fixed myself up, “Hey guys.” I approached them, “We can just chill in the lounge room.” I smiled.

“Great.” Liam smiled back.

We walked to the lounge room to find Mya, Roxy and Coraline watching the telly.
“Aren’t you guys suppose to be working?” I asked, crossing my arms.

“We are taking a break, minger.” Coraline turned her head from the telly, “So this must be Harry’s stupid excuses for friends?”

“What did you call us?” I heard Louis reply.

“And we are not stupid.” Niall said.

They all stood up and faced us.
“First of all, I called you a minger and second of all, yes, yes you are.” Coraline stared at us.

“Do you even know what that means?” Zayn asked shocked.

“Yes, I’ve lived in Manchester for 6 months along with Mya, we are practically British.” Coraline shrugged with sarcasm dripping in her voice.

“So aren't you gonna introduce us to your “friends.” Mya implied.

“Fine, this is Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall.” I pointed to each one of them.

“Hey Niall.” Roxy waved slightly.

“Hey love.” Niall smiled back, Roxy blushed.

“So let me get this right,” Coraline asked, “Pussy-” She pointed to me, “Vain-” She pointed to Zayn, “Spoons,” She pointed to Liam, “Sassy bitch,” She pointed to Louis, “And Leprechaun.”

She pointed to Niall and smiled, probably satisfied with herself.

Mya giggled and Roxy dropped her head into her hands

I was shocked. How did she know all those things about us.
“How did you-” Liam asked confused.

“Let just say I had a sneak peek of your profiles while Miss wasn’t looking.” Coraline smirked.

“Isn’t that illegal?!” Louis questioned.

“No,” Mya laughed, “Just sneaky.”

“What did you do Harry?” Liam asked me.

“HUH?!” I asked confused, looking at him “I did nothing.”

“Well you must of done something to piss them off.” Liam laughed slightly.

“Yeah something’s up their bum-” Zayn started.

“And it must be sideways.” Niall laughed.

“BURN!” Louis yelled as Roxy looked around incredulously as if to say ‘what the hell did I do?’

“MYA! ROXY! CORALINE!” We heard Libby yell.

“Yeah?!” They replied.

“Dinner is ready!” Libby yelled again.

“Looks like we have to go,” Mya looked at us, “What a shame, was starting to enjoy this conversation.”

“Pleasure is all ours babes.” Liam smiled.
I shook my head as we all walked into the dinning room and sat down. Liam was too nice for his own good.

I snorted as Roxy practically run to get a seat next to Niall. I was last in so that left me in a spot in between Mya. Joy!

After everyone was settled and digging into their pasta and awkward silence settled itself around the table. Everyone was avoiding eye contact with each other.

Louis coughed and started to speak “So, uh Mya you seem to have forgotten to introduce your lovely friends to us.”

“You’re all the same aren’t you.” I heard Coraline mutter under her breath.

“What was that?” Louis said looking over at her.

“Nothing.” She said smiling sweetly.

Louis raised an eyebrow and turned back to Mya looking expectantly at her.
She sighed, “Well boys if you must know, this is Coraline,” She said pointing her fork at her who kept her face blank, “And thats Roxanne, but she also goes by Roxy.” She said as Roxy looked up from her food and smiled at all of us.

Again an awkward silence hit the 9 of us, but it was Libby to break it this time.
She cleared her throat and turned towards Roxy, “So Roxy, Mya told me you had rehearsal this afternoon hows it going then?” Everyone looked at Roxy who ducked her head under all the gazes but I could see her relax slightly.

“Its going really good, but Miss Tulisa is always on my case about something or other.” She said rolling her eyes.

“You sing?” Zayn asked from next to me.

“Kinda but I’m more acting than dancing or singing, but I dabble,” She said quietly, “But these two sing as well.” She said gesturing Mya and Coraline.
My eyebrows raised to my hairline, that was kinda unexpected. Both of them glared at Roxy but she just winked in return.

“Wow didn’t take you two as the singing type.” I said looking at the two.

“Oh Mya haven’t you told Harry about ‘Infinity’ yet?” Libby said putting her fork in her now empty bowl.

Niall furrowed his eyebrows “Er whats ‘Infinity’?”

All three girls stayed silent, then Coraline sighed and muttered “Can I be excused?”

“No!” All of us boys replied back.

“Infinity is a girl group, if you will, that Mya, Coraline and I, plus two other girls in our group came up in what?...Year eight?” Roxy nodded, “We do mostly youtube videos and busking just stuff like that, but sometimes we do local gigs just to get out there.”

Throughout the explanation my eyes had widened, I really didn’t expect that from the girls but I guess can’t judge a book.

Ironic huh? Considering our situation...

“Thats actually kinda cool, mind giving us a demo.” Liam said with a smile looking at the three of them.

Roxy laughed slightly then realised he was serious, “Not a chance.” She said shaking her head.

“Not going to happen!” Coraline and Mya said in unison.

“Oh come on girls, It’ll be fun!” Libby said smiling at the three.

“Yeah come on girls!” I smirked as Mya turned to glare at me.

“Well thanks for dinner mum, it was great, but we really need to be getting back to our assignment so if you need us we’ll be up in the study.” Mya said standing up and picking her bowl and leaning over and kissing her mum on the check.

“Yeah thanks Libby, it was really nice.” Roxy said as both she and Coraline stood up, picking up their bowls and taking them into the kitchen.

They waved to Libby and went out of the room, Mya and Coraline without a single word to the five of us, although Roxy did turn back and wave, though it was kinda aimed at Niall.

“Well, that was interesting...” Zayn said looking around the table as we all started to laugh.
