Sunday Morning

Zayn’s POV:
I woke up Sunday morning feeling sluggish, in a bed that was still slightly unfamiliar to me even after two weeks of sleeping in it. I rubbed my eyes and ran a hand through my hair sitting up and stretching my arms. Living in Australia was still very strange for me and for the lads, although I would have to agree that many things were similar as to what they were in England. Driving on the same side of the road for example. But the accents were strange; every time I spoke to someone I expected some sort of English accent to come out of their mouths, rather than an Australian one. Though don’t get me wrong, I find some of the Australian lingo quite amusing.
I walked down the stairs that lead to the main area of the house, to be greeted by the family who was allowing me to stay in their house for the next six months.

I was extremely grateful for their hospitality, but of course I missed my family, my friends back in Bradford. In the last six months my life has changed so dramatically, it has been hard to keep up with: meeting the lads at X Factor, being part of the exchange, having to then get used to a new school and making new friends to fit in. Its nice to have a day where I can just sit and relax.

I sat down and opened up my laptop after breakfast and started writing e-mails to everyone back home, trying to organise a good time for the both of us to Skype. Emailing isn’t the enough, and I can feel my homesickness slowly creeping up on me as we speak. I shook my head as I finished the last one, closing home laptop and started making my way back up to my room to have some quality time with my bed and the tv.

Monday Morning

Roxanne’s POV:
Monday mornings cause me physical pain. Getting up early for school is hard enough but getting up even earlier for band practice is even harder especially when it’s the beginning of the week. Ew.

I rubbed my eyes tiredly as my mum’s car pulled out the front of the school, taking my time to pick up my thermos and school bag before opening the car door. Kissing my mum on the cheek I headed round the back of the car to get my saxophone out of the boot. Waving to my mum as she drove away, I headed into school walking towards the music room, stashing my bag in my locker and heading in.

Only a few people were there to greet me, the band teacher being one of them. I headed to the back of the room where people were already setting up and putting their cases away. I was just putting my strap on when my closest friend in the band, Laura, walked in. She smiled as she walked in continuing to tap the beat, with her drum sticks, of whatever song she was listening to on her phone.

“Hey Roxy! How was your weekend?” She asked, pulling one headphone out as she reached her kit, which I was standing next to finishing off my tea from my thermos.

“Hey Laura, it was pretty good, the girls and I...and a few stay at Coraline’s house…What about yours? Anything exciting happen?” I replied back, sitting down propping a stand up to hold my music.

“Nothing much: band practice, soccer practice, normal kinda of stuff I guess…Who else stayed at the house?” She questioned, putting her phone away as the teacher walked back into room.
“Ah no one really, just a few guys.” I said sliding my thermos back into my bag.

She raised her eyebrows at me, probably not expecting the answer I gave her. But suddenly her eyes diverted to the side of me, something grabbing her attention to the direction of the door, “Newbie alert!!!” She whispered smirking.

“Who joins the band in the middle of year?” I asked turning around to see whom it was. ‘You’ve got to be kidding me!’ I thought as Niall of all people walked through the doorway to the music room. He scanned the room obviously hopping to know someone. He found me, smiled and started to walk over…just fantastic.

“Do you know him?” Laura asked confused.

“Er yeah I do…he stayed at Coraline’s house on Friday…” I said blushing slightly.

“Damn girl! Get on that!” She said pushing me slightly with a laugh.

“Get on what?” I heard Niall’s voice right behind me ...shit.

I tuned around slightly to face him but not to put my back to Laura.

“Get on you-” She said with a wink at Niall.

“What the fuck dude?” I said blushing, pushing Laura back. I could feel myself go red from my face and all the way down my neck as Niall chuckled slightly.

He started to walk away to set up, brushing past me and muttering in my ear “Cheeky, just buy me a pint first.”

My jaw basically dropped to the floor, Laura was almost in tears with how hard she was laughing.

“What just happened? Somebody hold me, I’m about to pass out!” I whisper shouted to Laura.

“Ok what was that all about?!” Laura asked me grabbing my arm and pulling to the side slightly, “Do you to have a thing going on?!”

“That was nothing and no.” I shook my head. Laura raised her eyebrow as a reply. “I promise, nothing. Like we’re friends, forget about it.” I rambled trying to cover the blush still residing on my cheeks.

“Yeah, yeah whatever you say Roxy…” Laura muttered rolling her eyes as our band teachers walked to the front of the room.

Band went as slow as usual, but this time I had a distraction. Laura would hit my shoulder if she caught me looking, which was embarrassingly quite often. I just couldn’t help it. He was hot...and played the guitar, which added like 500 hot points in my books. Though he did turn around once but he didn’t catch me staring, luckily that would have been even more embarrassing. The bell signalling for homeroom sounded in the middle of one of the songs we were practicing, so we finished up and everyone started to pack away their own instruments.

“I’ll see you in history right Roxy?” Laura asked making her way out the door as I finished packing up my bag.

“Yeah see you there!” I answered standing, beginning to make my way to the door.
But hey! Of course I can’t just leave can I? Nope! I got stuck in ‘door traffic’ with non other than Niall and great now I’m blushing again. GET YOURSELF TOGETHER WOMAN.

“I’ll see you later yeah?” He asked turning to me.

“Um yeah.” I nodded, trying to sound causal.

“Cool.” He finished with a wink and walked away.

I let out a deep breathe and walk to my homeroom, which I was a more than a little late.

Recess

Millie’s POV:
“Hey have you seen Eliza?” I asked Coraline as I sat down at our table.

“Er yeah she’s over there…why do you ask?” She said pointing over her shoulder to the other side of the lunch area.

“I need to have a word with her…you know, about her telling Louis about our YouTube page.” I said laughing slightly, playing with the lettuce that was in my salad, “Did you know lettuce has 17% protein in it?”

“Okay, tad random…” Coraline gave me a weird look, which I get often, “I’ll come with you, I need to have a word as well!” Coraline spoke as she stood up from her place.

Eliza was a good friend to most of our group, but she was the closest to Roxy and Coraline. While we could never actually be angry with her, it was a bit of a laugh that her- of all people gave the boys the link to our YouTube channel. She saw us walking over and raised an eyebrow; she excused herself from her friends and met us halfway.

“What’s up girls?” Eliza asked as we stood in front of each other.

“You have a class with that new kid Louis right?” I asked.

“Er yeah why?” She questioned, “Think he’s cute don’t you?” She laughed.

“NO!” Both Coraline and I answered at the same time. “Anyways,” Coraline took over, “Louis was telling us that a certain someone gave him the link to our YouTube channel.” She finished with a smirk.

“Um yeah about that…” She giggled nervously, “In all honesty I didn’t think he would do anything with it, let alone play your video in front of the entire school, which you have to admit was kinda funny-” She was answered with two identical glares, “Ok...maybe not so funny then.”

Coraline smiled, “It’s okay, just fill us in next time.”

“Plus we gained more friends out of it!” I finished off, smiling.

“Acquaintances Millie.” Coraline coughed to which I rolled my eyes at.

“Well ok then, I’ll leave you to that.” Eliza laughed walking off.

“Come on!” I grabbed Coraline’s arm and pulled her back to the table to sit down, just in time for Melissa and her goons to show up.
“Enjoy your detention Friday afternoon ladies?” Melissa smirked.

“How did you know about that?” I asked raising an eyebrow.

“Everyone knew about the year 10 WHORES who got detention for blasting their stupid YouTube cover to the whole school.” Angie sneered at us all.

“Which I might add sounded like beached whales.” Melissa smirked.

“You would know, takes one to know one.” Mya fired back.

Melissa’s smirk disappeared immediately, “Actually we had nothing to do with that incident but whatever floats your goat.” Annabeth said turning back to her food making us all laugh.

“And what is that suppose to mean?!” Angie asked aggravated.

“Right, sorry I forgot that you were stupid…surely one of your so called friends can translate that to you.” Annabeth sassily replied back.

Just as Clarrisa was about to snark something back the boys appeared waving around what seemed to be a phone.

“Look! You have to see this picture Coraline sent me from Friday night!” Liam said laughing as he sat down with us.

They all took seats around the table completely ignoring Melissa, Clarissa and Angie, causing them to huff angrily and stomp away.

I giggled to myself but turned back to Liam and Harry who continued to blabber on about this photo.

“Pass it here!!” Mya said who was sitting next to me.

We grabbed the phone and started to laugh as we saw the photo. It was of Niall and Roxy on the Saturday morning all tucked up together on the couch.

“We wanna see too!” Annabeth said, Zayn and Louis whined, wanting to see it too.

I passed it over to them, so all three could share, “Aww that’s soooo cute!!! I’m so sending that to myself!” Annabeth said clicking the photo and forwarding to herself.

“What is it!!! This is getting so frustrating!!! Just show me!!!” Roxanne said smiling slightly even though she was annoyed.

I saw Annabeth send the photo and Mya walk over to her, “Nah!” Mya said as she collected the phone, “Its fun to see them squirm!”

“Hey!!!” Roxy yelled as she furrowed her eyebrows, “Its rude to exclude people!!!”

“Don’t worry they won’t show me either.” Niall said rolling his eyes.

“I guess they will see it eventually…” Mya sighed, about to hand the phone to Niall.

“See what?” I asked.

“The photo…” Annabeth replied with a look as to say ‘duh’.
“Oh yea.” I smiled innocently…I tend to forgot things easily.

“No! I wanna use it for blackmail! They can’t see it!” Coraline blocked Mya and grabbed Liam’s phone before Niall could.

“Please just show us!” Niall pleaded.

“Bitch no! I took the photo so I should have a say whether or not they can see it!” Coraline crossed her arms with the phone.

“Babe, its fine, you will probably have more opportunities later on.” Liam walked to her. Coraline turned to him as she spoke,

“One, I told you not to call me babe-“ Coraline raised a finger.

“But it suits you babe!” Liam smirked.

Coraline glared, “I’m just going to pretend you just didn’t interrupt me just then...and two maybe…maybe your right…”

“What was that Coraline?” Liam smiled, impressed with himself.

“Fuck off, you know what I said!!” She continued to glare at him while he smirked s as handed the phone it to Niall and Roxy.

Neither said anything; Niall only smirked but Roxy blushed a deep red, which contrasted with her normally pale cheeks.

“I hate you guys.” She muttered crossing her arms, she slide the phone across the table as we all laughed at their reactions.

“Awww its okay Roxy!” I laughed and gave her a side hug.

We all laughed it off and us girls started talking amongst ourselves. Its funny cause you would reckon we would have nothing to say to each other because of the sleepover…but we managed to somehow…

“So I wonder what happened to Ms Havana?” Annabeth thought aloud.

“Who?” Coraline asked.

“The teacher, from detention.” Annabeth confirmed.

“Ohhhhh right! Who knows? I mean she has the memory of a goldfish…rumour is she is retiring next year.” Coraline replied causally as picked at her nails.

“Why?” Annabeth asked.

“Don’t know, don’t care.” Coraline shrugged.

“Coraline!” Annabeth frowned.

“What?! She failed me in year seven math cause I apparently talked a lot and kept interrupting the class.” Coraline argued.

“But you did-” I said slowly right before Coraline shoved me.
“That’s beside the point.” Coraline retorted.

Louis laughed, “Sounds like me.”

“Wait...what are you guys still doing here?” Mya interrupted the conversation, our attention going to the boys. It was true, we had forgotten the boys were with us.

“Ouch! That cut me deep babe.” Harry acted hurt putting his hand over his heart dramatically.

“Seriously, go! Its hard enough that I have to see you at home, but at school as well.” Mya replied.

“Just me?!” Harry argued.

“No, all of you, go.” Mya crossed her arms.

“Why?” Liam frowned.

“Yeah, we haven’t done anything wrong.” Zayn added.

“No like seriously you need to go, you will get in trouble from the teachers on duty.” Annabeth told them.

“Is this about the no combining boys and girls nonsense?” Harry sighed.

“Yeah…” Annabeth replied.

“What’s the point of having a co-ed school-” Harry argued.

“BOYS?!” We heard a loud yell come from the side of the playground, “WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING ON THIS SIDE OF THE LUNCH AREA?!” I think the voice was Mr Wallace… “I’M GIVING YOU TEN SECONDS TO LEAVE.

“Shit, we’re dead.” Louis cursed as he stood up, about to run for his life.

“We tried to warn you.” Coraline smirked.

“Oh, stuff it, who cares if we get caught? What's the worst they can do to us?” Louis shrugged and decided to sit back down.

“Um, I don’t know-a detention maybe? You know, in the rule book- which none of you read, it states that if you get three or more detentions they ring your parents and schedule a meeting which cant be any good…and since your on exchange who knows what will happen!” Annabeth pointed out, giving them a lecture.

“Guys-” Liam tried to speak, but got shushed by Coraline.

“Plus you have already used one…do you really want another? I mean, you’ve been here for only two weeks, its gonna be a long six months of being a sensible student.” Roxy asked them, looking at one of them one at a time.

“Your school really takes this no co head senior thing seriously…” Niall frowned.

“GUYS!” Liam spoke up again, louder.

“WHAT LIAM?!” Coraline yelled back as loud.
He pointed back to Mr Wallace, “Um, I think our ten seconds are up-” Liam made us turn our attention to the very angry Mr Wallace.

“GO! QUICKLY! RUN!” I yelled and shooed them off.

“BOYS! COME HERE!!!!” Mr Wallace yelled once again, heading towards our table friskily.

In a spilt second the boys bolted back towards the senior boys section of the school. It was quite a funny sight.

*BING BING BING*

“Ah, guess thats the end of lunch.” Annabeth smiles.

“KILL ME NOW.” Coraline groaned, rubbing her temples.

“Religion?” Mya askes her.

“My FAVOURITE subject.” Coraline faked smiled.

“I’ve got Math, so it can't be that bad!!!” Roxy pointed out.

“True dat.” I smiled.

“Anyways, see you later ladies.” Mya hugged us.

I hugged Mya back, waving goodbye to my friends and headed off to Geography.
