(Louis's POV)
Her long hair flew behind her as she looked out the window and shouted "It's the beach Louis! We need to pull over, nobody's even there!"
"Okay!" I shouted over the loud noises of the waves crashing against the sandy shore in the sunrise.
I quickly took a sharp left turn and the truck shook wildly as we came closer and closer toward the beach. The salt filled the air with a beautiful scent as the beautiful view came closer and closer. The truck jolted to a stop as Kayla quickly look off her boots and rolled up her jeans around her ankles. She hopped out of the truck into the salty air and ran toward the shore, screaming with exietment.
"Ah! It's so chilly, c'mon Louis!" She shouted over the crashing of the waves.
"I'm coming!" I shouted back at her, pulling a sweater out from back of the truck.
I quickly pulled off my shoes and ran towards her, wrapping her cold, soft skin in the oversized sweater.
"Well thank you." She said softly as our eyes met.
I laughed and pulled her toward the water until the ocean met our knees.
"My jeans are soaked!" She shouted, laughing hysterically.
"Don't worry, mine are too. I have extra sweats in the back." I offered, holding back a smile.
"Good!" She shouted as she ran up towards the beach and out of the cold ocean.
She stared at me walking up towards her. Her eyes kept connection with mine as she whispered something too low to make sense of.
Suddenly, her smile quickly turned into a frown as tears burst through her eyes. She slowly folded onto the sand, covering herself in the large, beige sweater.
(Kayla's POV)
I hid my body from his view as much as I could. I buried my head in my hands as I rocked back and forth, feeling the tears stream down my red, blotched cheeks.
"Kayla, whats wrong?" I heard Louis say as he wrapped his arms around my shaking body.
I sobbed harder and harder into his chest as he tightened his grip around me.
"Shhh baby girl. It's all going to be okay, whats wrong?" He asked again, comforting my cold, damp body in his arms.
"What if h-he comes l-looking for me?" I said, trembling as I looked up, into his eyes.
He looked at me with sadness in his eyes before answering confidently "Kayla, as long as you are with me nobody will ever hurt you again."
I leaned back into his comforting arms as he rocked me back and forth, holding me tightly against his chest. We rested for what seemed like hours as he let me calm down and fall into a deep sleep in his arms.
(Kayla's dream)
Louis lead me up the large stairwell of the theater.
"You look beautiful Kayla" He said as he looked me up and down.
I wore a tight fitting dress which was designed with lace and beads. The sweet-heart neckline swooped down my chest, showing just enough cleavage to draw Louis's attention. The bottom ended at my mid-thighs, showing some skin. Louis lead me up the large, marble stairwell towards the two large wooden doors.
We walked through the doors into a large ballroom. The open space shocked me as the slow music appeared in the background.
Slowly, Louis pulled me into the center of the room and pressed me to his chest, forcing a slow dance. My arms suddenly ached and my legs felt weak as he continued.
All of a sudden he stepped away, shocked. I slowly looked down at my body, my legs and arms were covered with bruises and cuts.
"No matter what your father did to you, you're still beautiful." Louis said as he swooped me into his arms and pulled my face to his.
I gazed into his eyes as he crashed his lips to mine. My heart raced in my chest as he held my face to his.
He gently slid his arms around my waist, pulling me closer toward him as he paused and whispered into my ear "I love you Kayla."
