(Kayla's POV)
The alarm clock buzzed on my nightstand as I reached over in pure annoyance and smacked the top of it. "Monday morning... Lets do this" I said to myself as I slowly dragged myself out of bed. I slowly shuffled down the hall to bathroom. I looked in the mirror an saw cuts along my cheek-bone along with bruises. My mind flashed back to last night.
(Kayla's Flashback)
I walked into the dark livingroom and saw my father sitting on the big leather couch. "Did you do my damn lauundry" he scowled.
"I'll do it now" I softly said avoiding eye contact.
"God damnit Kayla! Get you're shit together, stop whoring around with those damn boys and do whatever the hell I tell you to do!" He shouted as he rose from his chair.
His large workboots slammed against the ground has he came closer towards me. He reeked of beer and ciggarettes as he walked by me.
"I'M DONE WITH YOU KAYLA!" He screamed as he turned around and backhanded me in the cheek.
I felt my jaw slam against the coffee table in the middle of the livingroom. I quickly pressed my hand against my cheek and stood up. I felt the blood drip down my face and onto my hand.
I quickly ran to the bathroom and saw the many cuts along my cheekbone.
(Kayla's POV; Current time)
I quickly brought myself back to reality and continued my morning routine. Shower, hair, make-up and then my outfit. I quickly rushed down the stairs only to see my father sleeping away a hangover.
My boots shuffled along the pave-ment as I walked down the street toward the old, brick highschool. I rushed into the building to find the principal leading a new student down the hall.
He was tall and thin. His hair was a light brown and he was wearing dark jeans with a striped t-shirt.
I kept my head down as they passed by. With one glance the new student and I made eye connection. His deep blue eyes glowed as we passed by. Both our heads turned as we walked away, keeping connection.
"Watch out!" A tall senior shouted as I walked into him, not payng attention in the general direction I was walking.
"Sorry, I wasnt paying attention" I immidiatly said as I walked away toward my locker.
(Louis POV)
Mrs. J lead me down the hallway towards the main entrance. Suddenly, a short girl walked into the school. She kept her head down as she walked past everybody. Right as we passed by she lifted her head and made eye connection. Her green eyes sparkled as a kept eye connection.
"Thats Kayla, shes a shy one" Mrs. J slowly said as she noticed our eye connection.
"Do I have any classes with her?" I quickly responded, glancing away.
"You have english, history, science and gym with her." Mrs. J said with a soft smile.
I smiled in amazement of how lucky I could be on my first day.
(Kayla's POV)
After throwing my books into my small locker I turned to see Jessica standing behind me.
I quickly tried to walk away but she stood in my way. Her long blonde hair cascaded over her slim shoulders. She looked at me like I was a germ.
"Ew! You reek of skank." She hissed
"You sure thats not you? Because I'm pretty sure it is" I snapped back with a slight grin across my face.
Her face turned a slight red as I turned and walked toward the gym. As I was walking she came up next to me and hissed
"What, can't take what I got? You're obiously going to go fuck some random guy on the street!"
As I was walking into the gym I turned to her, raised both my middle fingers to her view and shouted
"Tell it to sombody who cares Jessica, because I sure a hell don't give a fuck!"
I quickly strutted past the bleachers and into the girls locker room.
I threw on my gym clothes and sneakers and ran out into the gym to see him again. His blue eyes spotted me from across the gym and made connection with mine again.
"Who is he?" I softly mumbled to myself.
