Chapter Nine
Hunter's P.O.V
From the looks of everything that has happened so far, if I can say so myself I think this date is going pretty well. She doesn't look nervous anymore she has finally started to warm up to me.
"I have a question to ask you."
"Alright go for it."
"From what your aunt and uncle has told my parents you sound like this womanizer punk that doesn't care about anyone but himself, from the looks of things I can see that they are wrong."
"How do you know they are wrong you don't know me or what I did back in Ireland."
"You're right, I don't. But it doesn't matter what you did back in Ireland because right now I see a really great guy that I can trust."
Trust, such a powerful word. A word I don't want her to use.
"You can't trust me." I said in whisper.
"And why can't I?" She asked sassily.
"You just can't."
"Give me one good reason, right now."
"I-I don't have one." She put her hand on top of mine.
"Exactly, there is no way you can stop me from trusting me."
"Oh believe me there is a way."
I said where she couldn't hear me.
"What was that?" She asked.
"Nothing, I said I think it's time to go." I said walking back towards the rowing boat.
"Well this took a horrible turn." Rose mumbled.
"You can say that again." I mumbled back.
We both got back on the boat, we rowed back to land silently. This isn't particularly how I expected this to go.
---skip car ride---
"Sorry for how I snapped at you back on the boat, I just hate how people think they can trust me." I admitted, Roselina looked at me with pity in her eyes.
"But I trust you and you can't change that. I know you're going to try to make me believe I can't but I already know I can."
"Don't be so sure about that."
"Oh I will be, because I'm just difficult like that." She said smiling.
"Well come on, let me walk you to the door." I said getting out of the car. I walked over to her side and opened the door for her.
"Thank you." She said getting out of the car and kissing my cheek. My cheek instantly heated up. What is this girl doing to me? I grabbed her hand and we laced our fingers. She looked down at our hands then looked back up at me and smiled. We walked up to her door.
"Thanks for the date, it was wonderful." She said smiling.
"I'm glad you liked it."
"Well goodnight." I said quietly. She removed her hand from mine and was about to walk into her house. I grabbed her arm and turned her towards me. I cupped her face, I lightly pecked her lips.
"Now it's a good night." I said cheekily. She giggled and walked into her house. I smiled at the door and turned on my heel and walked over to my house. I walked through the door and my uncle was there waiting.
"You really do like her." He said
"What?"
"Roselina. I saw what happened."
"You did?"
"Yeah and I know you like her because that use to be me and Breanne. The whole thing you did on her front porch."
"Are you saying I'm going to fall in love with her?" I asked nervously.
"It's possible."
