Chapter Thirty-One
Hunter's P.O.V
The doctor let me check out of the hospital after countless of minutes of me saying please, and I'm not exaggerating when I say this I at least said it a million times before he considered on letting me leave.
I am now walking down the hallway to go see Rose, my uncle warned me that she looked pretty bad. I can't help but keep blaming myself for that truck hitting us, even though I know it's not my fault I just feel responsible for her being hurt. I walked down the hall till I reached her room. I froze in front of the door, I don't know if I'm ready to see what has happened to her. I pushed the feelings to the side and opened the door, Louis and Andrea were on the right side of her bed gripping onto her hand. Andrea was crying into Louis's shoulder, I am the reason why everyone is in pain right now. Andrea looks right at me, I can see the pain and suffer in her eyes. I tense up in my spot, she gets up and slowly walks towards me. At first when she brought her hands up I thought she was going to slap me or something but no. She pulled me into a hug at first I was shocked, but then I hugged her back.
"You're not mad at me?" I whispered, she pulled back and shook her head no frantically.
"I would never be mad at you, you were driving sober and plus it was that truck driver who ran the red light." She said as he expression started to harden Louis walked over and put a hand on her should. I saw her loosen up immediately.
"How about we get some rest, Hunter here will stay and keep us updated about Rose. Isn't that right hunter?" Louis said looking at me, I can see the dark circles and bags under his and Andrea's eyes, they really need some rest.
"That's right." I said smiling at them brightly, trying to lighten up the situation.
"Thanks Hunter this means a lot." Andrea said as she yawned. She walked back over to Rose and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Come babe let's go home and catch up on some rest." Louis said as he opened the door, a couple seconds later they were both out of the room leaving it to be just me and Rose
I looked over at Rose, the whole right side of her body was all cut up she also broke both her right arm and leg. Her face has a gash over her right eyebrow. The left side of her body wasn't as bad she has a few scratches and bruises but nothing compared to the other half of her body. I walked over and sat in the chair that is right next to her bed. I grabbed her hand and started to gently massage it.
"Babe I'm so sorry to have let this happen to you." I said barely in a whisper, I was choking back tears. I can't believe my little angel is hurt. I'm fearing that she might not wake up because she is in way worse condition than I am in.
"I just need you to open your eyes to know you are alive." Nothing happened of course, I just can't think because I came in that she would wake up. But I can imagine can't I?
"Rose you are one of the best things that has happened to me in my life and I can't lose you because I just got you." A tear rolled down my cheek, I bent down and kissed her hand.
"Rose I know you can't hear me, but I'm going to pretend you can. I have something I need to tell you. I know we haven't know each other for long. But already know I love you. Can you wake up so I can say to you and actually know you can hear me.. Please." I said the last part in a high pitch voice because I was trying so hard not to cry, but after that I just let the tears fall. The one I love may never hear me say 'I Love You.' Until I die too.
