The Nephew
Chapter Twenty-Six
Hunter's P.O.V
Me and Rose heard gasp come from the front of the house, we both exchanges looks. I know Breanne's mom is here but what could have happened in that five minutes?
"What do you think is going on?" Rose asked nuzzling into my side as we walked towards the sound where a big commotion is happening.
"I don't know baby." I whispered as we turned to the corner to see my aunt wide eyed and her mouth gaped open. My uncle Niall and cousin Hannah both have shocked expressions.
"What happened?" I asked breaking the silence between everyone.
"I don't think it would matter to you. Anyways who are you?" An older looking version of my aunt asked me. I was about to speak up when Breanne stepped in.
"This is my nephew Hunter." She said. She walked up to me and Rose and smiled to both us then she turned around to face her mother. "And you will not talk to him like that, not as long I'm around." She said harshly.
"Bree it's fine." I said trying to convince her that it was okay, it really didn't bother me how her mother talked to me. I'm used to that attitude when adults talk to me.
"No it's not. Anyways what just happened my lovely mother invited my step father and his children over. Isn't that wonderful?" She asked while clenching her teeth. I hear car doors shut, I see Breanne's face scrunch up. "And here they are!" She said in fake excitement.
"Mom, calm down." Hannah whispers to her.
"Oh honey this is me being calm." She said.
I look over and see a boy and a girl, the boy looked around me and Rose's age and the girl looked a bit older. Then an older man walked in behind them. I'm guessing that's Bree's step-father.
"Oh perfect time!" Breanne's mom said clapping her hands together. "Everyone this is my daughter Mychaela and my son Dustin. Mychaela is the one who just graduated and Dustin has just turned seventeen." She said happily.
"What happened to the kids that were around my age. Did you ditch them too." Bree said rolling her eyes, her mother tensed
"No they are still in America they have kids they can't particularly pack up and leave." She said trying to keep herself calm.
I noticed Dustin checking out Rose, se downs seem to notice because her eyes are glued to the ground. I tense up again, no one should be staring at my girlfriend like that. I saw him bite down on his lip and state at her like she was some kind of meal.
"Hey can you stop staring at my girlfriend." I said staring directly at Dustin. He chuckles a bit.
"You are dating her ." He said surprised.
"Yes now lay off." I said sternly.
"Don't worry he won't have anything to do with her." Bree's step-dad said.
"Good." I said.
"Why not dad?" Dustin asked confused.
"Because you'll be dating no ex-boybander's daughter." He said.
"What's wrong with boybander's daughters?" Breanne said angrily
"Whats wrong with them is that they are as bad as their fathers and they are stuck up because they are rich." He replied.
And that's when it happened, I finally saw Breanne snap.
