Chapter 3
It was the first day of orientation. And it was totally different than what I expected. First of all, the college was huge and there were way more people here compared to high school.
After moving into my dorm, I introduced myself to my roommate, who had two people over already.
"My name is Mary Sue. My hobbies are reading and watt- I mean shopping and watching movies. Nice to meet you."
I wonder what these three are thinking about me.
Can they see through me? That I am trying to pretend to be a normal person.
Did I already mess up?
Is it impossible for me to make friends?
"Welcome to ShindoL University, where the dorms are tiny and the parties are huge," The crimson-haired girl broke the silence and beamed at me. "I'm Steph and these two boys here are Harry and Liam."
Two cute boys raised their hands and waved at me. One of them was particularly attractive. It could be his wavy brown hair or his confident smile. After looking at him for so long, he must have noticed I was staring at him and then the corner of her mouth lifted slightly. I looked away immediately, feeling my cheeks grew warm.
"Nice to meet you um. Harry and Liam."
"Wait, Mary. Do you not know who they are?"
"Um... They are Harry and Liam... right?"
"Yes and no," She shook her head and walked up to me, whispering into my ear. "Have you ever heard of One Direction?"
One Direction. If I remember correctly that was some famous boy band. But I wonder why Steph was asking me about it.
"Mary, make the connection." Steph smiled while I slowly remember the five boys that my peers talked so much about back in high school.
I widened up my eyes and pointed at them.
