HARRY

Maya stood in the doorway, glass in hand, filled with what was unmistakably whiskey. I was pissed. She looked visibly shocked, the alcohol in her system keeping her from hiding her true feelings. She was playing a dangerous game, and I was doing the same by being here. I stormed into the house while she stood there stunned.

“Maya Fucking Heart.” I yelled making my way to the kitchen, where I spotted the empty wine bottle, and the empty whiskey bottle, “Are you fucking kidding me?” I said holding up the empty bottles. She scoffed at me finishing what was left of her drink.
“My middle name is actual Penelope, not Fucking.” She rolled her eyes and made her way to the living room where the music was coming from. I stormed after her,
“Don’t you fucking walk away from me.” I ran after her, “Where the fuck are your parents?”
“Ugh,” She rolled her eyes again, “So now you care?”
“What?” I asked, “Maya of course I fucking care.”
“Then what was that?” She yelled at me, waving her glass around, “You spend the night with me, you start babbling some bullshit in the morning, you kissed me in the rain, and then you fucking left again! And I haven’t heard from you since!”
“Maya I’m sorry. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you, since I first met you.” I admitted.
“Oh please.” She laughed and sat down on the couch. “I’ve met plenty of boys like you, hell, I’ve been broken by men like you.”
“Alright,” I grabbed her hand and lifted her off the couch, taking the wine glass out of her other hand and setting it down, “Come on.”
“Where are we going?” She grumbled like a child.
“I think we could both use some unseen forces right now.” I answered. I dragged her up the stairs and she stumbled behind me into her room. My hand still holding hers, I sat her down in the bay window and I took a seat next to her.
“So does it like talk or something?” I asked in reference t the bay window.
“No,” She laughed like I was an idiot who supposed to know, “You’re supposed to do the talking, the rest just flows, it’s the bay windows energy, it just kinda makes you flow.” I nodded.
“The energy,” I said, “You believe in all that?”
”I don’t know what I believe.” She answered, staring straight at me.
“What did you mean, boys like me?” I asked, feeling her hand in mine, her thumb gently rubbing against my skin, it felt electric.
“I just,” She started hesitantly, “I had this boyfriend. I’d been in love with him for so long, and there was only one other guy before him, who’s now one my closests friends. I just, I loved him so much ya know? I gave him so much, I gave him all of me. And he dumped me in the airport before I moved here. He said he didn’t really love me and he’d only been stringing me along because he felt obligated.” I could hear the pain in her voice, and I wanted nothing more than to make it go away. The thought of some guy hurting Maya this much, well, it hurt me.
“If I ever run into this guy, I’m gonna beat the shit out of him.” I promised her. She laughed gently, a beautiful sound, a sound I could live in, a sound I wanted to hear over and over again.
“I think I’m way too drunk, I’m probably not gonna remember a lot, if any of this.” She sighed, already regretting her decision.
“I hope you remember this.” I leaned closer to her, our faces so close I could feel her whiskey tainted breath. Her eyes bore into my soul. I’ve never met anyone like this girl, she was incredible. The way she talked, the way she walked, the way the thought, I could drown in this girl. I tucked a strand of her golden hair behind her ear, and traced her jawline with my finger. I tilted her chin up to me, and I placed my lips against her. It was soft and simple, a moment I thought I’d never have. A moment with a girl, a soft, gentle, moment. I pulled back from her and smiled,
“I think you need some sleep.” I whispered.
“You’re probably right.” She whispered back. I stood her up and pulled back the covers of her bed for her, she took off her jeans and slid into the bed.
“Harry?”
“Mhm?”
“Will you stay tonight?” She asked sleepily.
“Maya Penelope Hart, I don’t think I could say no to anything you asked me.”
I took off my jeans and slid under the covers next to her. Her head on my chest, one of her legs stretched across mine, my arm holding her close. She nestled herself comfortably against me, and placed a soft kiss against my neck. Jesus, what is she doing to me?

MAYA

I woke up the next day with a pounding headache, and my bed felt weirdly empty. Oh shit, Harry came over yesterday. Fuck. What even happened. I rubbed my temples and sat up. I heard voices laughing downstairs, mom and dad, shit. Wait, dad? Did I just think of Shawn as my dad? Whatever, my biggest concern right now was getting my hands on some advil. I pulled on my sweatpants and dragged myself downstairs. I walked into the kitchen with my eyes closed and groaned. Damn you sunlight, wait sunlight? It had stopped raining.
“Fun night?” I heard Shawn say as I took a seat at the island.
“I’ll say.” I heard his voice and my eyes shot open. Harry was in my kitchen, with my parents, cooking breakfast. What. The. Fuck?
“Oh yeah,” My mom responded to my shocked look, “When we got home Harry here was nice enough to tell us all about your night.”
“You told my parents?” I looked at him. He nodded, it was kinda sweet that he cared, and that he was still here, and he was cooking breakfast with my parents.
“You bet your ass he did,” Shawn said as he slid me a glass of water and 2 advil’s, which I gratefully accepted. “And you young lady, are officially cut off.”
“Oh you don’t have to worry about that. I’m swearing off alcohol right here, right now.” I held my hands up. They all laughed at me.
“Look at the time!” My mom said to Shawn, “We’ve gotta run sweety.”
“Bye Harry.” My mom said and he gave her a kiss on the cheek, “Have a great day, Katy.” Katy? He was on a first name basis with my mom?
“Harry.” Shawn reached out and shook his hand.
As they left, Harry set a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon infront me, I hungrily ate it.
“So, you’re on a first name basis with my parents?” I asked.
“They’re lovely people.” He answered with a laugh. I nodded and took my plate to the sink.
“So, you stayed.” I said quietly.
“I stayed.” He smiled at me. Wow. His smile, he’s in my kitchen, serving me breakfast, and he spent the night with me. Domestic bliss? Is that what the called it? I think I could get used to this, with him.

“Okay do you mean what shoes should I wear or hide a dead body help?” She asked and I laughed." -this is iconic and I'm going to use this on my siblings! Sorry for stealing...I'll credit you though.
