She Had Streams Running Down Her Face
"Hello?" the barely recognizable voice on the phone answered.
"Mac?!" I couldn't contain myself. I knew she'd know right away who it was because I was the only one who ever called her that, and I was right because she immediately responded yelling "Ohmygod! Scar is it you?!" "Yeah it's me" I said laughing, a few tears slipped out my eyes I didn't know I could miss someone so much just by hearing the sound of their voice. "I heard that you were out and I wanted to visit but I wanted you to get settled in first, I didn't want to bother you" she said apologetically.
"I totally understand, mom and dad had already told me that you told them how you felt about me settling in first" I said reassuringly. "Oh okay cool, so what's up? what gave you the urge to call so randomly" she asked jokingly. For a moment I forgot why I was calling her, but than it all rushed back to me within moments.
"Okay I know this is kind of random, but I'm like totally freaking out! I met this dude today and he's so....fucking hot! and he asked me out on a date, but the problem with that is I haven't been on a date since...since...Ryan" I was having flashbacks of Ryan and I's first date and I could feel m face turn hot and tear flush my eyes. "Scar, calm down, take a deep breath your just over thinking too much, I'll be over in a jiff don't cry please! I'll be over right now, see you in a bit, bye". I hung up and threw myself on my checkered bedding and wiped my tears and went to my dresser and pulled out a picture of Ryan. "Pizza's here!" I was startled but I put the picture back and ran into Mackenzie's arms. "I missed you so much" I said trying not to cry, I was always the softy Mac never cried, the only time I seen her cry was when her grandpa passed. "I thought I was gonna lose you." she said in a faint whimper and I looked up at her and saw she had streams running down her face.
