Never Look Away
Chapter 25: 5 Days Later
Harry’s POV
Paul had all of us seated around a circular table under a pop-up. Louis and I had been inseparable since the blow up. I wasn’t paying attention and knew I was caught when Louis bumped my arm.
“Huh?” I asked looking from him to Paul who was starring at me intently.
“What's been going on lately? None of you seem happy and you aren’t as communicative with fans.” All of us knew what he was undeniably true.
I took a deep breath while everyone looked at me because we all knew it was because of me. Louis cleared his throat, probably trying to distract Paul.
“It’s beca-“
“Harry and I got into a fight. It’s my fault, I started something I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry.” Zayn cut me off with another apology.
I didn't forgive him but it took courage to say what he did, I had to give him props for that. Paul seemed to buy it and continued with the lecture. I stopped listening again and looked around, I watched the bus door open and Carly step out before closing the door. My breath was caught in my throat when the wind blew through Carly’s long blonde hair.
Come on Styles, you need her back. Nut up and fix things. It’s obvious that after only 5 days and I’m this torn up, I cant live without her.
Before I knew what I was doing, my legs had my standing.
“Where’re you going?” Paul asked with a tone of underlying annoyance.
“To fix something.” I didn't look at him or anyoner else before walking toward her.
My eyes were on her when she looked at me, her eyes widened and she blushed. I was less than 5 feet away when it hit me~ What the hell am I going to say to her?~ I slowed to a stop a few feet from her.
“Hey.” My voice wasn’t as strong as I had hoped.
“HI.” She looked shocked before glancing at the door behind her. “Oh, sorry.” She stepped aside as if I needed to get into the bus.
“You're fine. Can we talk?” The only answer I got from her was a slight nod. “In there?”
“Sure” She seemed uneasy as I reached for the handle.
I opened it for her and stepped in after her. Neither of us said anything while we sat across from each other at the table. I took a deep breath, watching her chip the red nail polish she wore, I could tell she didn't want to be here.
“What? Why’re you staring at me?” Her voice was rough, like she hadn’t talked much lately.
“Are you okay?” Her attitude threw me off guard so that question popped out automatically.
“Yup, just fine.” Her tone was sarcastic as she sat back.
“What's wrong?” I didn't get why she was so angry with me.
“Well, let me see. My boyfriend doesn’t believe that I didn't cheat on him with his best friend, my existence has been completely ignored by the person I love and I have to act like everything is fine because if I don’t I’ll get someone in trouble.” She looked me in the eyes, raising her eyebrows. “That’s what’s wrong.”
“I-I didn't mean to ignore you I just didn't know how to act casual with you.” MY words were stuttered by shock.
“So I was right, you don’t believe me? Great.” I watched as tears welled in her eyes.
“I…I don’t know. I’ve always had to compete with him for you so I’ve never completely believed that your feelings for him were gone.” I hadn’t admitted that to anyone, not even Louis. “I know you two are friends but part of me doesn’t trust it.”
“That’s what it comes down to? Trust? Do you think it was easy for me to trust you with the reputation you have? Well, it wasn’t but since the day we started dating, I never questioned your actions or feelings for me. And that says a lot because I know there are prettier, smarted and all around better girls that you could have.” A tear slipped from her blue eyes as she took her bottom lip between her teeth. “It sucks to know that after everything that we’ve been through, you still don’t trust me.”
“Carly, I trust you but I feel nervous when you two hang out because of the past. I’ve been cheated on before so I’m always afraid of it happening again. It’s even worse with you because I’ve never felt like this for anyone, you stole my heart without even trying.” Her eyes fell along with more tears. “I love you and I’m sorry; that’s why I wanted to talk to you, I know I was wrong. I’m incredibly sorry.”
She shook her head and stood up before wiping her cheeks dry. I watched her walk toward the door, grab a pair of sunglasses and leave taking a deep breath. My eyes stung and vision got obscured by tears, I gave in and let them out.

Thanks so much! Loved both stories! And yeah I've been writing but I had to stop because of school and all the work.
