Chapter 2

A few weeks had gone by since my car drive with Harry. I have been trying to avoid him but once he saw me at school he would try to reach me. I would say that I had something to do or that I had to go to class. My friends didn't approve my attempts of escaping Harry, obviously. They were always interested in some boy, they had a lot of boyfriends. Me on the other hand was trying to focus more on school. It was my senior year, maybe I could get a scholarship but that was dreaming a bit high.
There was a party tonight at Drake's, he was the quarterback of our school team.

I had put on black skinny jeans and a top that was a bit more revealing than i wanted it to be. My mom dropped me of at the party and I hurried inside giving a small wave while mom was driving away.

The place was crowded and I had a difficult time in finding my friends. After more or less 10 minutes I found them near the back door that led to a big pool outside.
"I thought you wouldn't come" Mary was holding a red cup and with an arm around the waist of a boy I had seen around school a couple of times.
"Where's Hannah?"
Mary handed me over a cup with beer in it. I gladly accepted.
"She's over there in the sofas" she pointed out.
I walked to her and sat in the middle of the sofa next to her.
"Malia! Come join the game!"
"Oh, I don't know.. what game?" I was never good in any game actually so I wouldn't accept the offer whatever it was.
"Ask and tell. You ask a question to someone and say what you think it will be the answer then the person you asked the question answers it and if you're wrong you have to drink. If you're right the other person drinks. The one who finishes 4 drinks first looses."
"Ahm no thanks" I wasn't really looking forward to share my life with a bunch of alcaholic teenagers.

I was now in what seemed my forth red cup full of beer and I was starting to find what everybody said funny.
"Hello beautiful"
I looked at my right side and there was the green eyed boy I had been avoiding for the last couple of weeks.
"Oh.. uhm.. hi"
I slipped my tongue over my bottom lip nervously.
He just stood there looking at me for what it felt like hours.
"You've been avoiding me"
I felt a heat rushing to my cheeks. I didn't want him to know I was avoiding him, I didn't want him to now I feared him.
"No I haven't"
"Don't lie to me" his eyes now were a darker shade of green and his jaw was clenched.
I didn't know what to answer. My slight drunkenness not helping my head forming sentences.
I saw him stretching his hand.
"What are you doing?"
He didn't answer me, he kept going until he reached my phone. I couldn't move, I didn't know what I could've done. I obviously wouldn't be able to retrieve my phone from his grip.
He was putting his number in and texting to it. Shit. Now he had my number. He then put the phone back on the top of my right thigh.
"This party is getting lame. Let me give you a ride home"
"No" I immediately answered.
"Let's play a game, if you win you get to go whenever you want, if I win I can take you home"
"What if I just don't want to play?" He couldn't just force me to play with him. Who the hell does he think he is?
"I'll just follow you home" he said, a smirk forming on his face. He liked this.
"That's stalking."
"You can't prove it". His smirk now was frustrating me. He thinks he knows everything. He is enjoying this.
I couldn't do much about it. My best chance standed in winning the stupid game.
"You go first"
Here we go. Think of something come on.
Got it.
"How long were you in juvy? I'd say that it was 6 months".
The look on his face was priceless. I knew I was correct. I had to be.
"You've been doing your research." He now was showing a big smile with dimples obviously content to think that I was interested in him. I wasn't. I could've told him the truth about how I knew but that was giving him to much importance.
"Drink"
He drank his first drink and only had three left.
"Well, my turn." He didn't even thought about the question for more than a second. He knew what he wanted to ask. "Do you think I'm different from most of the people you know? The answer is definitely yes."
I cursed under my breath by the feeling of my cheeks blushing. I couldn't deny it now. He would now I was laying. From the first moment I saw him and his friends my thought was immediately that one.
"Yes". Fuck.
I drank my first cup of the game. Maybe my seventh of the evening.
"How old are you? I think you are eighteen." He was in senior year so why not.
"19, drink up"
He failed a year? He joined school later?
It didn't matter I had to drink.
I lost the next two question and consequently I lost the game. I didn't stand a chance. He was different, unfamiliar. I was the most common thing you could find.

He now would have my number and my address. I just wanted distance.
Against my free will I entered the almost black rover and gave my address to the happy driver. I don't know if the word happy was appropriate. He looked like a wild animal who just caught his prey. Me.
I leaned my head against the seat and pretended I was asleep, that way he couldn't make a conversation with me. When we pulled over on my house I immediately went to the handle of the door to open it. It was locked from the inside. I had to wait for him to open it for me from the outside. I resiliently waited until he opened my door. When I exited he put his palm against my back and pulled me to his chest.
"You'll see me around Lia."
I didn't know I was holding my breath untill I let out a gasp from my mouth when he kissed the top of my head. He laughed and then went back in the car and drove away.
It was like I couldn't move, my legs were frozen. But I wasn't scared now, I was in complete shock.
