Annabelle's POV:

I woke up to the sound of voices... In case you were wondering, I spent the night, AGAIN. I pretty much live here and I have my own room, but anyways,what is going on? I fluttered my eyes open and looking down on me were my boys. Hmm.. wierd.

"What are you guys doing? Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked with a wierded out expression.

"Do you know what today is?" Harry asked, happiness sparkling in his eyes.

"Not really, no. Should I?" I asked, a little suspicious. All of their faces changed from cheerful expressions to completely shocked ones. What did I say?..

"How do you not know what today is. It is the most special day out of all the other ones!" Louis exclaimed. Okay, this is stupid..

"Will someone just tell me what today is? I'm dying here!" I yelled. They then looked at each other, then back at me. Each and every one of their faces lit up in the same exact way. They took a deep breath and soon screamed, " HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE!"

Oh. My. God. I completely forgot that today is my birthday! How does one do that? It didn't matter. I have been looking forward to this day for a long time. I sprang up from the bed and frantically started changing into my new clothes. I need to have as much time as possible for today. This is my last birthday. EVER, and I want to make it special. The boys soon came back in and wrapped me in a gigantic hug. It felt good! I was officially 20 today! No longer a teenager! WOO HOO! Only downside was... I wouldn't be able to celebrate being 20 for much longer...but you know what? I'm not going to let my cancer bring me down. Especially not today. I smiled into the hug and soon let go.

"Okay. We have the whole day planned out for you. Each of us are going to take you out someplace fun one on one. Movies, bowling, eating, you name it. This day is all about you and we want to make this last birthday you can celebrate the most special." Liam said.

"Sounds fantastic guys. Just tell me one thing though... Who's going first?" I asked. The minute after I said that, all of the boys started shouting for me to pick them. They expect me to choose? Not likely...

"GUYS! We already have it planned out remember? Niall goes first, Zayn second, me third, followed by Harry and ending with Louis. We each get about 2 hours with her so we can all fit in our own time together. So, Niall, take her wherever you have planned to do, and we'll wait here until you guys come back." Liam said with a smile.

Niall took my hand and led me out the door while saying goodbye to the boys. "Where are we going Niall?

"We, are going to a nice restaurant for breakfast and to just talk. We need to start off this lovely morning right! Shall we?" he said while gesturing to the car. I smiled and got in the passenger seat. We started driving and talking about random little things. He really is a great kid. Soon, he pulled up to the incredible IHOP. We both laughed and got out. We walked in and was escorted to a seat. No teenage girls were here. It was way too early in the morning for any girl to be awake. We placed our order when the waitress came back and started talking.


We talked about a lot of things. We started off talking about both of our careers, mostly Niall's and how much he loved it. He really did enjoy every minute of his life and that made me admire him a little bit more than before. Soon, we ended up on the dreaded subject of Louis. And me.

"So how are you and Louis doing?" he asked me. The question caught me off guard. I stopped my fork with my pancake on it a centimeter before it hit my mouth. I layed it down back on the plate and looked at him.

"What are you talking about? What about me and Louis?" I asked, trying to act dumb.

"Oh don't play dumb with me Belle. I know you both are way more into each other than I think you'll ever admit. I see how you look at each other and I can definetly tell that something is there between the two of you." he told me. I knew from his face that I couldn't back down, and he is my best friend, so I can't lie to him. Here I go....

"Okay fine. I do like Louis, but I know for a fact that he likes me as well. I never told you or the rest of the boys about this, but the night when I told you all about my cancer, after you went to bed, Louis stopped me and told me something very surprising. He- He told me that he loved me, as more than a friend. He confessed to me that he wanted to try to be something more and I knew that he meant every word. The hard part was that I told him that I couldn't be with him. I told him that even though I felt the same, we could never be together. It wouldn't be fair to him or me if I went through with it. I don't know when I'm going to leave this world, It could be anytime now, but I will not lead him on like that and tell him that i'll always be there for him, when I won't. I will let the cancer take me right here, right now if I ever hurt him like that." I finished. Niall looked at me. Really looked. Then he spoke.

"Belle. You are too strong for your own good. If I were you, I would have never had the guts to turn down the person I really didn't want to do that to. Still, I think you are right. I don't want to see Louis hurt, even more than he probably will be soon. You really are a noble person Annabelle, and Louis is still lucky to have found someone like you, even if you two can't be together." he told me. He reached across the table and hugged me tightly. I gladly returned the favor.

"Thank you so much Niall for these last few hours. You are an extraordinary guy and when I go, I want you to know that I hope you find your special princess to talk to like this. You have a talent for making people feel more at ease. I love you Niall." I told him.

"That really means a lot Belle, and i'll remember that. C'mon though. Let's get you back to the house. Zayn has been dying to take you out since the moment we came up with the idea" he said with a chuckle. We left a tip for our nice waitress and exited the restaurant. We drove back to the house in a comfortable silence while me and Niall held hands in a best friend way. When we got back, we walked into the house and into the living room where all of the boys were. Zayn soon shot up out of his seat and walked over to me.

"Ready to go love?" He asked me with a excited expression on his face.

"Of course, but can you tell me what we are doing?" I asked warily.

"We, my love, are going to the movies, to go see your favorite..." he started as if he wanted me to finish his sentence. Then it clicked... Oh. My.God.

"Are you kidding me?! Are we really going to go see Titanic in 3D?" I screamed and jumped up and down like a little girl on Christmas.

"You bet Annabelle. Come on, lets have some fun." he said, while he pulled me back out the door for the second time today...
