Louis POV:

While Liam, Niall and Annabelle were all inside the house, me, Harry, and Zayn decided to wait in the pool. We were playing with the volleyball until Harry suddenly blurted out," Do you fancy Annabelle Lou?" That made me freeze. What? Where did that come from. I was just about to open my mouth to deny it, but Harry raised his eyebrows sending me the message that he already knows and that I can't lie to him even if I tried. Then I reluctantly stated, "Yes Harry. Yes I do like her."

"Are you going to do anything about it mate?" asked Zayn. Actually, I haven't thought about that yet...


"I guess i'll have to. I don't know. I just feel like she's too good to be true. I feel that if I don't do it soon, she'll slip right through my fingers and that's the last thing that I want to happen. So yes guys... I'll tell her when I feel the time is right." I finished. They just looked at me with admiration and we continued playing with the ball.

A few minutes later, Annabelle and the boys came back out. We all bombarded her with the same question, "Are you okay?" She replied to our question saying that she felt a little sick and didn't want to take the chance of throwing up in the pool. I felt bad. I was even on her team and I didn't notice. I then said," Okay. As long as you're okay." She smiled at me and came around to the other side of the pool and jumped in. After she swam to me and Zayn, we finally started our Volleyball game...






Annabelle POV:

After we finished playing Volleyball (Which my team won by the way ;P) we made our way back into the house for dinner. Every so often from now, from when we were playing, Liam and Niall would give me this look. The kind of look which made me think that they were going to tell me something that I didn't want to hear. So, when they pulled me back from going inside after Harry, Zayn and Louis, my prediction was correct. "Annabelle, you do realize that you have to tell the rest of the boys and EVENTUALLY Louis right?" Liam asked. What? I didn't even think about that.

"Why?" I asked.

"You know exactly why. It's not fair that only we get to know while the rest of them stay oblivious. I'm sorry to have to say this, but if you don't tell them I will." Liam deadpanned. They gave me one last look before leaving me outside to think over what they just told me. At first I was furious at them for giving me an ultimatum so I would tell my best friends about something that's very painful for me to talk about, but deep down I knew they were right. I needed to tell Harry and Zayn. I'll tell them tonight, but one problem... How do I get Louis out of the house? I thought about it while I went upstairs to put my original clothes back on. I KNOW! It's about dinner time anyway so i'll ask just him to go get it. Perfect! After I changed, I ran downstairs to see the boys all in the living room. I took the chance to say, "Hey guys? Do you want to grab something to eat? Louis can go pick something up from McDonald's for us." I said.

"UGH! Why me!? Why do I have to get it?" he whined like a little boy.

"Because i'm making you. Now go!" I shoo'd him out the door. Just before I was about to tell the rest of the boy's my secret, I glanced at Liam, then Niall, sending them a mental message of what I was about to do. "Hey guys? I need to tell you something." I started, just like I did in the bathroom.

"What is it Belle? Are you okay?" Harry asked, as he must have seen the torn look on my face for him to say that.

"Actually no. I'm not. Guy's sit down." I told them. They stared at me for a few seconds with concerned eyes before they obliged. "This is really hard for me to say...but i'm just going to come out and say it."I claimed. "Just tell us Belle, you're starting to scare us." Zayn said while the others nodded their heads.

You and me both buddy...

"Okay..." I took a deep breath and blurted out, "I have cancer" Once again their faces changed from concerned to shocked just like Niall and Liam. I started speaking again, "I'm so sorry for telling you like this, but I needed to get it out. I was told by my doctors that I had about 3 years to live.., but, I was told that about a year ago. So really, I only have one year left of my lifetime. I never wanted this to happen because i'm only 20 and I have so much more time left for me to live, but sadly that's been taken away from me. I'm so sorry guys and if I could take it back I would, but I can't. It's over now, and their's nothing I can do, except live my life to the fullest, until my heart stops beating." I finished, as the tears started flowing for the second time that day.

Soon Harry piped up, "I cannot believe that this is happening. It's not real. It can't be." he said as he got up and paced the floor. Zayn stayed silent and stared at the wall opposite of him. Soon Harry stopped abruptly. "Are you going to tell Louis? Is that why you made him leave?" he asked.

"Yes and yes. I know that if I tell Louis now, he'll hate me all over again, and since I only have a little more than a year left, I don't want to take the chance of it happening again. I couldn't take it." I explained. Soon Harry and Zayn came over to me and wrapped me in an even bigger hug than before. Just about to the point where I couldn't breath. Zayn then whispered in my ear, "You are so strong and wise Belle, I'll miss you so much." That made ME break down. I started sobbing into their shoulders while Liam and Niall soon joined to group hug. A little while later, I said, "Okay guys, Louis should be back any minute and he can not see you crying or in a bad mood. I know it may be hard, but try to act like you never knew about this. He can't find out yet. I'll tell him soon." Then right on cue, I heard the door open and a big, "I'M HOME!!" from Louis. I'm going to miss that. His figure soon came into view with a big bag of McDonald's smelling food. "So, what did you lovely boys and girl talk about while I was gone?" he asked with a smile. We all widened our eyes. "Uh-uh.. Nothing really. We just watched some TV. Really boring stuff that you don't really want to hear about." I stuttered out. "Okay." he said. We all blew out a sigh of relief and starting grabbing our food. I sat down on the couch in front of the TV and seconds later, Louis joined me. We all picked a movie and starting watching... Soon enough after a few movies and some cookies that we took out to eat, everyone was pretty much about to collapse from exhaustion. We all got up after the end credits started to play on the last movie and started making our way upstairs. Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Harry were up the stairs while I was next, but before I couldn't even set one foot on the stairs, I was stopped by a warm hand on my shoulder. I turned around and Louis was standing there, looking a little queezy.



"Hey Belle? Can I talk to you for a minute?"
