I turned over so I could see who it was. As soon as I turned over, my hazel eyes met with a pair of familiar blue ones.
"Niall, may I ask what you're doing in my bed?" He reeks of alcohol. He must be drunk.
"I didn't want to leave yet."
"Is there anyone else in my house?"
"Nope. Just me and you," Niall said, then grinning.
"Go home, Niall. You're totally wasted and won't even remember this tomorrow."
"I just have to say one thing," he said, while trying to stand up. "I love you."
Oh crap. He looked at me expectantly.
"What, you're not going to say it back?"
"Niall, no. I'm sorry. I'll call you a taxi so you can go home." I picked up my phone to call a taxi and turned around to see Niall, curled up in a ball on the floor, crying. I put my phone down.
"Okay, fine. You can stay here." I started to try and get him to stand up so I could take him into a guest room, when he looked up at me and said, "Can I please stay in here with you?"
My heart broke into five million pieces.
"Yes, you can stay in here with me. But don't try anything!"
"I won't, I promise," Niall said while crawling under the covers.
"Thank you. Goodnight, Niall."
"Night."
He was snoring about two seconds later. I tried, but I just couldn't fall asleep. Around 3 in the morning, I turned so I was facing Niall. He looked like an angel. In that moment, I knew. We had only known each other for a short period of time, but it felt like an eternity.
"I love you too."
