I lounge around the hotel flicking through the British channels. Yes Home and Away I smile and engage.
Wow we are really ahead in Australia, I observe.

"Hey honey." Dad comes in holding Lou's hand. "Hey." I turn the volume down. "So Lou and I have some news." My heart stops.

"Your not pregnant.?" I glare at Lou. "What no." She laughs. I'm glad she finds my heart racing moment amusing.

"We are going on a holiday, all of Europe." Dad said. I can relax now. "Oh ok. cool, when you ahh leaving?"

"Midnight."

"Midnight.?" I repeat.

"I know it's sudden. But we just thought why not" He shrugs his shoulders. I make a tsk sound.

"How long?" I asked. "Three months" Lou speaks. "Ok it's your life, but what happens to me?" I ask curiously.

"You can stay at my house love." Lou generously offers.

I want to say no, but my dad is so happy. So for him anything. I sigh heavily. "Ok, thats very generous of you Lou." I get off the bed and hug them both, "I expect really good gifts." I kiss my dads cheek.

I then go pack.







We arrive at Lou's house.

Dad takes my suitcase. Lou unlocks the front door. It's huge, I think I'm going to thoroughly enjoy living here.

I follow her up the stairs. "this is yours." My smile widens I go and collapse on the bed.

There is also an ensuite bathroom. "Oh Dianna one last thing"

I pop my head up and Lou opens a door?



I am in wonderland. "I also bought a few things for you in your size."

I have not registered anything she has just said. I am in too much of awe.

Back downstairs we are sitting around the lounge. This house is for me, three months all mine, I may get a little lonely. House party? nah I never do that to Lou.


"Oh by the way Harry is kinda your neighbour." My eyes widen "Define neighbour?"


"He lives a street away." Lou concludes. "Great." I sarcastically reply.

Dad and Lou left at midnight, it is now ten in the morning the next day. I am in bed like a sloth I don't really wanna move. But then the door bell rings. I throw on a robe and make my way to the door.


"Howdy Neighbour." Harry steps in the house. "Please come in." I usher him in.


"So what do you think your dad and Lou will get up to?"

I give him the what the hell look. "I don't have any plans to find out." I sit on the couch opposite him.


"So what you wanna do today love?"

"I don't know, I'm not exactly a local." He laughs.

"I have some ideas. Get dressed."

Harry waits for me, we get in his car driving in what seems to be London traffic. "Standard." He says.
