Chapter 26 Preperations
Amy's POV
I woke up today for my appointment with Doctor Turner. I'm 4 months pregnant and I'm very happy that I'm doing great at keeping up with this pregnancy. So far I had no major problems. I got ready and made everyone breakfast. Tonight we are going to Harry's birthday dinner.
When everyone got ready we left to the doctor's office.
"So, why are you guys not going to figure out the gender today ?" Niall asks.
"We decided to make things exciting and have a gender reveal party. Dani is throwing me one and I will throw her one when it's time." I said while we drove to the office. Dani is 3 months pregnant, next month she will give me her gender and I will throw her a party.
Dani had gotten a caterer already, Louis will text her the gender and she will order the cake. She's gonna throw the party to surprise me so even though I know about it I still don't know when.
My bump is getting bigger since I'm 4 months pregnant and I'm in love with it and so is everyone. But no one is in love with it as much as Freddie. He talks to it for hours, he prefers it over a movie or his toys. One time even over ice-cream. I can't wait till I deliver to see how well they will get along. Even Emily is not that obsessed but she is obsessed with the preparations.
We parked and registered at the desk and were asked to wait. After 15 minutes we were called in.
"Hello dear, how are you ?" I smiled as she hugged me, she's so friendly.
"I'm fine how are you ?"
"I'm good. So ready to see your baby ?" I nodded excitedly and sat on the bed and lifted up my shirt revealing my bump. Liam held my hand as she squirted gel on my stomach.
"Do you want to know the gender ?"
"No can you put it in an envelope please. My friend is throwing me a gender reveal party."
"Wow that's nice, sure thing." She put the wand on my stomach and the sound of the baby's hearth beat filled my ears. I smiled widely as Liam squeezed my hand.
"The baby is perfectly fine. Now can you turn away so I will take the gender picture ?" We nodded and faced the wall. When she was done she cleaned my stomach and left to put the pictures in an envelope.
"Everything seems fine, I will see you in 3 months and then I will deliver your baby. Have you decided if you want to be induced or have a c-section or do it naturally and epidural and stuff ?"
"Well I want it as natural as possible but I think I want the epidural just in case." She nodded and typed away.
"Okay, we're done for today. See you in 3 months." We said our goodbye's and left.
I gave the envelope to Louis and we drove off.
When I got home I took a nap and then got up to go to Harry's birthday dinner. I got Emily ready in her favorite purple outfit that Harry had bought her for her birthday, she insisted saying it would be an honor. She's so cute. Then I got ready myself.
"You look lovely babe." Liam said pecking my cheek. "Thanks babe." "And so are you angel" "Thank you daddy" I smiled at their father daughter relationship.
"Look uncle Harry, I'm wearing this. You gave it to me" Emily said excitedly. "You look very pretty Emmy" Harry said as Emily giggled at her nick name.
We went to the restaurant, Harry didn't know that we brought his mom and sister. We knew he missed them so we flew them over. When we got out of the car we were surrounded by paparazzi. Liam got out the door and then got Emily out and then opened my door and helped me out. Lately I have been having trouble getting up and stuff. We locked the car and Liam put his hand over my shoulder protectively. He tried to cover me as much as possible so as to avoid anyone noticing my bump while also carrying Emily as she shielded herself from the flashes of the cameras.
We somehow made it through them and sat at our reserved table. After ordering drinks I got a text from Gemma saying they're here. I got up and went behind Harry. I covered his eyes and gestured for them to hurry and sit at the table. Emily was giggling seeing how funny the whole situation is. "Uncle Harry sit still please."
"What the- Amy what are you doing love ?" He asked. A giggle escaped my lips. They sat down and gave me a thumbs up. I gently removed my hands and we all screamed 'surprise' gaining stares from other customers. Harry's face was flawless. Niall was recording the whole thing.
"Mum, Gemm. What are you doing here?" He asked surprised.
"We came for your birthday, silly." Gemma giggled. He stood up and hugged both of them then hugged me and the guys.
"Thanks guys, this means a lot." We smiled and replied with 'no problem'. During dinner we talked about their jobs and our preparations for the baby and what not. When we were done a waitress brought over a cake we specifically ordered and the lights dimmed as a birthday song begun. Harry blushed and stood surprised as we smirked. We sang happy birthday and he cut the cake.
When we were done we went home and found Freddie with Danielle.
"Uncle Hazza, come here. Hurry." He pulled Harry to the living room and made him sit down.
"Otay, now close your eyes and no peeking." He said sternly and we chuckled. Harry obeyed and Freddie ran to his room and then came back.
"Otay, open" Harry opened his eyes and Freddie pulled a paper from behind his back. It was a picture Freddie drew of him and Harry. Harry smiled and hugged Freddie thanking him.
"That not all, I got a pwesent for you." Harry laughed at his excitement and Freddie went towards Louis who gave him a wrapped box. Freddie gave it to Harry and he opened it. He got him a watch. Harry thanked him again and we all gave him his presents and then went to sleep.

Turns out that Danielle thought she would for sure surprise me with the gender reveal party because it's been 2 months. We still haven't revealed the pregnancy yet and I'm getting bigger. We wanna announce it when we know the gender. I threw her the party already, she's having a girl. She decided to call her Macy. It's cute and I love it. Emily has been gushing a lot about having a girl for a cousin and so is Freddie knowing he will have a little sister, yet still he loves 'Thomas' more.
I was at the studio, today I had to record some stuff. Apparently we were going to shoot myself recording since I haven't done any public appearances lately so I had to dress nice. Alex promised me that they won't air it until I reveal my pregnancy. Which was good since I was huge.
Being 6 months pregnant wasn't easy. I needed help every time I moved an inch. I'm scared of what will happen when I'm 9 months. God he must me really big, labor is gonna hurt like hell. After 3 long hours of singing and taking photos and recording over and over again I was exhausted. I took a nap during my hour drive home and then got up as we arrived at the house.
I opened the door and turned on the lights and everyone screamed 'surprise'. Finally my party, about time Dani. Everyone was here. 5SOS, Little Mix, Simon, my crew (who somehow got here before me, I mean Jesus how did they do that ? I was just with them an hour ago. Then again I slept in the car so maybe the driver was asked to take a long drive or something) the boy's family. It was so crowded. Dani came up to me and hugged me.
"Sorry it's late but I wanted everyone to be available so it took a lot of time to schedule it. "
"It's fine, thanks for going through a lot of trouble and spending your time planning this. I just wanna get to know already." We giggled and then Emily approached me, "Where you surprised mommy?" I nodded, "I sure was honey" She squealed and hugged my feet. "Look at the balloons and the cake and the presents, all for Thomas" I laughed and then joined everyone making conversations. After I swear I talked to every person there it was finally time for cake.
Me and Liam made our way outside were a table was set up with a cake. We laughed because the cake was so us. The boots because of Liam's obsession with Toy story and the bows because of how I like to add a bow or flower or some accessory to almost all my outfits. Our child would be a photocopy version of us for sure.
It was so cute. We took pictures of the cake and then everyone got quite as we cut a piece of cake.
Turns out it's going to be boots not bows. "It's a boy." We never doubted it because we knew it was coming somehow. I smiled down at my belly as Liam hugged my from behind kissing my neck and placed his hands on my belly and I put my hands there as well. "Thomas Alexander Payne" He whispered. I smiled.
Freddie came rushing to me. "Hi Thomas, I can't wait to meet you and play soccer with you." He gushed and we giggled at how adorable he is. Me and Liam are so excited to meet Thomas but not as much as Freddie. He's more excited to meet Thomas rather then Macy.
We ate the cake which was really delicious as I snuggled up to Liam.
"Everyone listen up, we like to announce that in 3 short months we will welcome in this world little Thomas Alexander Payne." Everyone cheered as we announced the name. I got a lot of hugs and 'congratulations'. Then it was time for presents.
I got a stroller, a car seat a lot and I mean A LOT of diapers and wipes, loads of onesies and cute accessories like a little cowboy hat and little boots. Dani had sent the invitations with the gender so everyone knew it was a boy. I got blankets and towels and baby shampoo and stuff. I got excited seeing all the stuff. I thanked everyone telling them that coming was already enough.
After everyone left we cleaned the mess and I put Freddie and Emily to bed then went to bed myself because today was exhausting.

I woke up this morning happy to know that I'm having a boy, Liam and I had lots of stuff crowding our room. Today we are going to do the baby's room aka Emily's happiest day of her life, she has been totally obsessing over this for months now since I told her to design it. We decided on a Disney themed room but mostly Toy Story, so I had to draw the characters and boots all over the room.
I made breakfast and got dressed in some rag clothes to paint. Louis and Harry got me the paint from the garage up to Thomas's room. We bought a crib and the dresser and changing table and stuff online which will be delivered later on today, perfect timing. After we ate we all started painting the base. We let Emily help a little with painting the base, she's a cute little painter doing that adorable thinking face when she's focused on something.
We colored all the walls a shade of blue, as Emily designed it we decided to place the bed against the wall on the right and a changing table in front of it. The wall on the left had a dresser and a rocking chair in the corner. In the middle of the two walls was a window with a window seat. I decided to paint the Disney characters over the bed and the Toy Story one's on the other side. The rest of the walls included mini Disney characters and some objects that indicated Disney like boots for Toy Story, A honey pot for Winnie The Pooh and more. We left space for a shelf with blocks that spelled Thomas. It took us all day waiting for the paint to dry and stuff. But it turned out great if I do say so myself. We placed the crib and stuff and left the room proud of our work.
I sat on the sofa exhausted after taking a shower. When everyone joined me we made dinner and ate.
"So Li, now that we know the gender and I'm 6 months pregnant I think it's time to announce the pregnancy." I said and everyone nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, we can all tweet." I nodded.
"I suggest we can mention it's a boy but not the name yet." They agreed and after we finished we got on our phones.
"Ready" Everyone nodded and pressed tweet.
"And Done" Almost instantly I got notifications. I scrolled through the boy's tweets and smiled.

I retweeted all of them and replied back. Then I went to Liam's tweet and did the same.

Then I tweeted myself.

I closed the app and cleaned the dishes. I couldn't help but think about how I ended up from my old self to this new me. I'm really proud of myself and so happy with my life. I have everything I need, Liam, the boys, their family's, my friends, Emily and now my son.
That nightmare still haunts me though because I never want for her to think that Thomas will replace her, no one will. I want them to have a great sibling bond despite Emily not being blood related.
Him and Freddie will surely get along. I can't help but try and vision Thomas. How he will be looking like at 3 years old or 16. How me and Liam along with the boys will be there for him through every accomplishment and failure in his life. I want to make his life as perfect as possible. I know that nothing is perfect but I want it to be perfectly enough for him to be happy. I will do my best to keep a smile on his face and not disappoint him as a mother.
I know that with Liam and my family I am capable of doing everything. I will keep my clean reputation and not cut one more time in my life. I'm just glad to have an amazing husband like Liam to help me go through anything. All the little things that he does is what makes me love him more.
