Stella stood in front of the mirror fixing her hair in a pony before looking down at her work outfit why the hell does she have to wear such a short skirt? She shrugged it off walking down the stairs to start with breakfast to be met with her mum behind the stove “Mama the doctor said you’re not supposed to be up” she spoke as she took her mum by the arms and walking with her to the couch sitting her down. Her mum took her hand looking up at her tears at the brim of her eyes “Everything will get better soon Mama I promise” she spoke kissing her head before going back to the stove to finish breakfast. “You’re late” Lucy Stella’s best friend spoke as she walked through the door of the diner “But its okay I covered for you” “Thank you” Stella spoke putting her apron on looking up as the bell from the door went open and ones she saw who it was she let out a sigh. “Please not my table” and to her luck they sat at Lucy’s table. Stella got her note pad and pen when she saw a costumer sitting at her table. “What can I get you today?” she asked looking at the brown haired guy that sat there looking at his iPhone ‘rich people’ she thought to herself shaking her head “A cappuccino please” he spoke looking up at her, she caught a glimpse of his green orbs swallowing hard “Coming right up” She walked back to the counter starting with his drink “He’s quite the looker” Lucy spoke “Yeah” Stella spoke turning her face to look at him. “I’m taking you out tonight my treat” “I can’t with mum being sick and all and it’s a school night I have to help Shawn and Victoria with homework” “I’ll pick you up afterwards please” “I’ll see” “You never get out anymore I know you have to work and all to support your family but you’re still young and I will be paying” “Okay but I can’t stay late” “Yay now go take that hunks cappuccino to him” As she walked past Lucy’s table on the way to hers one of the jerks slapped her bum causing her to jerk forward but was caught before she could fall, his arms were big against her arms slowly she looked up at him his eyes a darker green than it was minutes ago “Are you okay?” he whispered looking at her and she just nodded. He sat her down at his table as he walked to the group of guys pulling the one that slapped her out of the group pulling him by his collar and then he threw him out of the diner. Before walking back to Stella she watched him eyes wide “Can I maybe see your breakfast menu” he spoke sitting in front of her she nodded standing up walking to Lucy to get a menu “What the hell was that?” “I don’t know” She handed him the menu “Are you really okay?” he questioned eyes scanning her face “Yes thank you for doing that” he just nodded before giving her his order “Today was a really weird day” Stella spoke taking of her apron and getting her stuff “I ordered your mum and the children pizza so you don’t have to go make supper and my brother helped them finish their homework so I’m taking you home so you can get changed so we can go hang out” Stella just nodded walking out to Lucy’s car Lucy is rich because of all the money her mum and dad left her and her brother when they passed away which is why Stella always wondered why she was working when she and her brother now owned her dads company. “Where are we going?” She asked as she got into the car “You’ll see” Stella rolled her eyes and buckled herself in. “Cant believe we’re doing this I missed doing this with you” “yeah” Stella spoke biting down on her bottom lip As the car came to a stop and Stella turned her head to see what was next to her and she smiled white teeth showing perfectly. “Come on love the party isn’t going to wait for you” Lucy spoke and Stella got out of the car looking at the two guards that were standing in front of the doors. Smiling she and Lucy walked into the building Lucy dragging Stella straight to the bar. “wait here order us something I’ll be right back just need to use the ladies room” Lucy spoke sitting Stella down on a bar stool before walking away to an unknown location. Stella ordered herself a soda because you don’t have to be drunk to have fun and for Lucy she ordered a mojito. Her fingers tapped away on the counter to the beat of some bebe rexah song that was playing. “Hey beautiful” As she heard that voice she turned her head and there he sat class of whiskey in his hand “Stella isn’t it?” she nodded “What’s your name?” she questioned smiling she wanted to know the name of the guy that defended her “You can call me daddy” She frowned looking to the side as Lucy sat next to her and when she turned around to look at him he was gone, disappeared into the group of bodies.
