Rebound

Leilani's POV:

"Can we talk?" Liam asked me, I rolled my eyes, and tried to pass by him. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his chest. I didn't resist and I hugged him, but I quickly pulled away and walked to my car. "Wait, aren't we going to talk?" He asked me, I slightly nodded my head and got in my car and left him in the dust. As I was driving, I'm getting nervous. What if he rips it up in front of me? What if he throws it away? I mean I know I have made him pretty mad, and I hurt him really bad this time. I've never been afraid of something in my whole life, I always worry about whatever he says to me.

I get up to his doorstep and taped the letter to the door, just ran off. I can't face him, I know I will just start crying and try to let him hold me. But I told him, I was going to give him his space, and I need to respect that. Even though it is killing me. I got back home feeling really depressed and shitty, I got inside and saw Liam sitting on the couch waiting for me. "What are you doing here, Sweetheart?" I told him as I crashed in the sofa.

Liam's POV:

As she sped off in her car, I decided that I was going to wait for her. When she came back I was on my phone, "What are you doing here, sweetheart?" As she said, I was melting on the inside, she fell on the couch and sigh as she looked at me with her big brown eyes. She looked really sad, I got up, picked her up and sat her on my lap, her head was down I picked up her chin and had her look at me. "Love, why are you crying?" I asked her, her eyes were filled with tears and stained cheeks. She let out a huge sigh and burst into tears, she leaned into me whispered something that melted my heart. "Thanks for being here for me....I think I like you." I held her tighter, she ended up falling asleep in my arms, I put back her into bed, I got my jacket, but Jade and Remix stopped me in my tracks. "Hey ladies, you guys need something?"

I said ready to head out the door, but Remix sat me down on the couch, "Liam, I don't know if you know this or not, but Leilani is a broken machine as of right now. and I think you being here isn't helping." Remix said, I got up and said "She's not broken, she is just hurt. Now I don't know what happened earlier, but she was happy when I was comforting her. I know that you guys see me as a heartless hoe, but I think Leilani is different." "No sweetie, you are getting the wrong impression, we are glad that someone was here to comfort her, we are just saying, that she is bad for you." Jade said, "Ouch I thought you were suppose to be her friends ?" I replied.

"No we are, and we care about her a lot, it's just different. She has a troubled past, if you come into the circle of madness, that is called Leilani, you will get hurt. She tries to protect everyone, but she simply just can't." Remix said, As she came back from Leilani's room. I was confused, "What do you mean she can't protect all of us? What so bad about her past?" I questioned them, they looked at each other and sigh, then Jade spoke "It got worse 4 or 5 years ago, Leilani got into a lot in trouble in high school, she started to date this guy named Mason, he was a lot older than her. She was mesmerized by him, the way he dressed, walked, and talked. We knew that she had a bad background, and so did he, so we thought they were perfect together. She went for it, and started talking to him, before we knew it, they were dating."

I kind of knew what was going on but still didn't understand, I nodded to indicate that I was listening, then Remix continued "When they got to a month of being together, Mason and her started skipping class, and she joined his gang so they can be closer on a deeper level. With in a month or two, she was the main hitman in the gang, and yeah I said it right hitman. So she basically she replaced Mason, he was upset about that. 2 or 3 weeks later, she became really close with leader if you know what I mean. She was still dating Mason, he ended finding out and got the crap kicked out of him. Ever since he has been mad at Lei-"

"What do you think your doing?" Leilani said with her arms crossed, aw shit.
