Nessa had been home for two hours cleaning. Most people who knew her would argue that she was a clean person, maybe even a little OCD, but if people were coming over she wasn't cleaning because she wanted to. She knew that if her mom got wind that Nessa didn't clean, she would never hear the end of it.

Her regimen consisted of vacuuming, dusting, bathing Olly- her seven-year-old Golden Retriever, and setting out food for Kat to devour later.

At 7pm Ari arrived to help Nessa lay out pillows and blankets. She usually showed up early to help finish setting up.

"What time is Kat getting here?" Ari asked.

"I really don't know. You know she shows up whenever she wants."

Nodding, Ari sat on the floor next to Olly who began licking her on the face.

"Olly, no! Sorry Ari, he's just accepted you into the family I guess."

Ari chuckled. "No problem. Olly knows I love him."

The doorbell rang as Nessa set the last snack bowl into place on the coffee table.

"I have arrived bitches! Let's start this cry fest."

"Kat, really, the profanity?"

"Let me live my life woman."

After about two hours of food, The Notebook, and giving Olly attention, Kat suggested they talk about boys.

"I'll go first" Kat said.

"So recently Harry told me that he was only being mean to me because he had to protect me from his father."

"The Mayor?" Ari asked.

"Yeah! I don't know whether to believe him or not. He does have proof though. I really like him, but I don't know if I'm willing to get hurt."

Nessa chimed in, "Kat you know your limits, talk to Harry. In a private place, where his father can't interfere."

Ari went next. "I don't know what to do about Edward. He is a good guy deep down inside, but he just has this ass hole façade that he refuses to take down."

Nessa and Kat exchanged looks. That was really cliché.

"I know what you're both thinking. I realize how cliché that sentence was, but you don't get to judge. You both are worse."

Nessa wouldn't even deny that statement. Kat looked as if she was going to challenge Ari's rebuttal, but Ari raised her eyebrow and she submitted.

Both Kat and Ari looked at Nessa expecting her to add her problems to the mix, but she just sat there petting Olly.

"Well?" Kat said.

"Nessa, add to the sappy boy problems sharing time" Ari said.

"I love Marcel Styles and I don't know how to tell him or show him or move out of the friend zone."

Both girls sat there shocked. Maybe Nessa shouldn't have said anything.

"Wow...um..." the silence was deafening.

They weren't this silent before.

Ari spoke first, "Nessa, have you tried making subtle hints?"

"Yeah, or maybe big hints...like Marcel I love you" added Kat.

"It's not that simple...he likes Ari."

Kat whipped around, "Still?! Ari shut him down already!"

"I tried! Nessa try again, maybe this time hold his hand or make a move to kiss him."

Nessa wished she was as bold as Kat and Ari. She was still so new to boys and dating, or the lack of it.

"You just need a little courage Nessa. Let your inner woman warrior come out and take that boy!" said Kat.

"Okay maybe not that approach, but be confident. Guys like a sarcastic, confident girl" said Ari.

Nessa nodded, hoping that she would have another opportunity to talk to Marcel again just the two of them.

"Now can we please watch Civil War? Chris Evans is shirtless six times!" Kat pleaded.

Ari chimed in from her cloud of pillows, "Seconded."
