“Hi.” I smiled. Danny was standing in front of my door holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers, all types and different colours.
“Oh Danny…” He smiled shyly as he handed me the bouquet.
“Happy birthday.” He said as I took the flowers and gave him a hug. It had been a while since I had gotten flowers. In fact, I couldn’t even remember the last time.
“Thank you. They are beautiful.” I said. I couldn’t stop smiling as I put the flowers in a vase at the kitchen table. “It’s been a while since somebody gave me flowers.”
“Are you ready to go?” He asked, holding his hand to me.
“Yeah, let’s go.” I smiled, taking his hand and walking outside.
Today was my 17th birthday and I was so excited to finally be 17 years old. Danny was taking me to a birthday breakfast in a lovely restaurant that wasn’t too far away from my house. We talked and laughed for nearly two hours and had a lovely time together, it was great to spend time with him.
After breakfast we walked around London arm in arm, enjoying the nice weather and enjoying the view. We were walking through the park when my phone started ringing. I saw Harry’s name on the screen and smiled.
“Sorry, I have to take this.”
“It’s okay.” Danny smiled.
“Hello?”
“Hello, love!” Harry said.
“Hi Harry!”
“Where are you? I’ve been looking for you.”
“I’m out with Danny. He took me out for breakfast.”
“Oh.” He said, sounding not so happy. “It’s my turn to spend time with you, don’t you think? You’ve been out with him all day.” He complained.
“It’s only 2 o’clock.” I laughed.
“But I miss you already.”
“I miss you too but Danny and I will have lunch together.” I heard him groan. “I’ll see you later okay?”
“Alright. Bye, love.”
“Bye.” I smiled and hung up.
I walked back to Danny, who was sitting on a bench and seemed to be thinking a lot on something, or maybe upset.
“Hey, you okay?”
“Yeah. Shall we go?” He asked standing up.
“Yeah.”
During my lunch with Danny, Harry was constantly texting me. I told him I wasn’t going to answer because I was with Danny, having lunch and it would be a bit disrespectful to answer text messages every ten seconds. But that wasn’t the only distraction in here, somehow a couple man with cameras managed to recognize me because of that stupid magazine talking about me and they kept taking pictures.
“You have got to be kidding me.”
“What’s going on?” Danny whispered, referring to the men with cameras.
“I think we should go now.”
“But what’s going on? Who are these men?”
“It has to do with Harry.” I whispered back.
“Harry? The curly boy?”
“Yeah. Can we go please?”
“Sure.”
Danny paid for the lunch and we both left. We took a taxi back to my house, it was almost 4pm when we said goodbye. I called Harry while we were on the cab to tell him I was going back, he sounded happy and told me we had plans for tonight with the boys so I had to get ready at 8pm.
I opened the door and nearly had a heart attack when Harry, Louis, Niall, Zayn, Liam, Danielle and Perrie jumped out of the living room.
“Happy birthday!” They all yelled in unison. The whole room was covered in balloons, a few of them flying around as they jumped out, there was a ‘Happy Birthday’ sign on the wall.
“Oh my god!” They were all laughing at what my face must have looked like when they said ‘happy birthday’. “How did you get this many balloons?”
“Really?” You are scared about the million balloons instead of us jumping out of nowhere?” Perrie laughed.
“No, you scared the life out of me! But-” I laughed. “There are so many balloons in here.”
“We have connections.” Liam said.
They all made their way towards me, balloons flying everywhere as they attempted to walk, and gave me a huge group hug.
"Oh god thank you guys! I thought you would forget." I said looking at Harry.
"How could I?" He smiled.
“Birthday cake for the birthday girl!” Niall said carrying a cake. “Come on, blow the candles! I want to see you blow them all.” I blew up the candles and everybody clapped. I’m a weird person that doesn’t eat cake so the boys stuffed on it.
Danielle, Perrie and I talked about everything in our lives, how Perrie was doing with Little Mix and all, they were going to release a new song in 5 days. I saw a couple videos of Little Mix at the X Factor and I loved Perrie’s voice, it was so unique, strong and soulful. I was excited and I couldn’t wait for it to be released. I loved these girls, they were both amazing and great friends.
“Now!” Harry yelled, getting everyone’s attention. “Jane.” He said taking my hand. “For your birthday we are doing something special for your birthday!”
“Really?” I smiled like an idiot.
“Yep. Now go get ready we are leaving tomorrow morning.”
Harry told me what should I pack for our adventure, comfortable clothes, food, water and such, but to pack light. When he told me were we were going I got really excited, this was going to be amazing!
