Summary
Zayn Malik was one of the luckiest guys alive. Even after losing X-Factor, he and his four bandmates had rocketed to fame which increased year after year. With an abundance of wealth and popularity, Zayn would be well off for the rest of his life. However, with money and fame, there comes envy.
An unlikely culprit commits despicable acts against Zayn for self-gain, landing him in a world of trouble and confusion. This leads him to give up the one opportunity that made him successful in the first place...
"I didn't feel like myself in the band. It was limiting my creativity. I also just wanted to live a life like a normal 22 year old," Zayn lied. The reporter nodded sympathetically, but she was expecting more.
There was nothing left to say, the phrases were scripted. How could he possibly elaborate on something he couldn't even remember? He didn't recall the boys or even their names, the experiences, the fans he had met, nothing rang a bell. All Zayn could remember was the bright lights of the hospital room and all the events occurring up until that very moment. From the instant he had woken up, he was Zayn, the solo artist. He was not the Zayn from 1D.

The story's only two chapters in but I already LOVE it. Poor Zayn :( Though the summary seems a legit reason for him to leave than the original statement the band gave. Update whenever you can! x
