Unsuspecting Sunday Afternoon

Niall woke slowly, feeling the sun coming through the window of his hotel room. Niall hummed softly and reached over to the other side of the bed. His eyes snapped open in a panic. Aylie wasn't in the bed. He groaned softly as he fell back into the bed. She was gone again. Why was she disappearing before he woke? Niall rubbed his face in frustration. Aylie had been so happy to fall asleep in his arms. Niall sighed heavily and looked out the window to the sunny skies.
"Good morning, sleepy head." Niall's head snapped around to see Aylie crawling toward him. She wore a sweet smile as she laid her torso on his. Niall quickly took her face in his hands and devoured her lips passionately. Aylie leaned into his kiss, wondering where his sudden lust had come from. "Well hello." Aylie giggled, out of breath from the strength of the kiss. "What was that for?" She asked, a smile filling her eyes with light.
"I thought you'd left again." Niall murmured, brushing her hair from her face.
Aylie laughed again, "No. I was just in the bathroom." She ran her hands through his messed hair gently. "I said I'd spend the day with you, silly boy." Aylie pressed her lips to his lightly. "I do need to go home for a minute though. I need to get myself ready for the day." Aylie spoke sweetly. Niall appeared a little worried. "You can come with me. I can make you breakfast if you want."
Niall kissed her softly, "I have to find my pants."
"I think they're on top of the television in the other room." Aylie chuckled shyly. Niall cackled as well, knowing full well that they had both been out of control as they stumbled into the hotel room much like they had in his home. Niall kissed her again, wanting her to know that he had no regrets about the night before. "You can shower at my place too if you'd like." Aylie offered. Niall nodded and sat up on his elbows.
"We're not going to get very far if you don't let me up." Niall smirked, not really wanting Aylie to unwrap herself from his body. Aylie blushed and sat up quickly. Niall climbed out of bed stark naked. Aylie sat on the bed in his jumper cross-legged and smiling. She loved the sight of him naked in the sunlight. Granted he was gorgeous by the light of the moon but there was something so much more incredible about the sun hitting his pale skin. He looked back at her as she chewed her lip and watched him with lusty eyes.
"Like what you see?" Niall asked with a sultry tone. Aylie nodded, lying down on her side, propping her head up on her hand. Niall began to strut across the bedroom making Aylie giggle quietly. Niall smirked back at her then went to fetch his jeans from the top of the television. Aylie decided to get up and start getting dressed herself. She needed to be presentable to leave the hotel. "Can I make a request?" Niall asked of Aylie as he stood in the doorway with unbuttoned jeans and no t-shirt. Aylie stared up at him curiously as she pulled her jeans on. "You wear my jumper all day." Niall smiled shyly at her.
"I'd love to this thing is so cozy. I love it." Aylie laughed quietly. "It's the perfect Sunday wardrobe." She stated. Niall's shy smile turned into a bright grin. Aylie shook her head as she finished pulling her pants on. "Where's my bra?" Aylie asked out loud. Niall chuckled and pulled it from the top of the curtain rod. Aylie blushed as she took the black lace garment from his hand. She shoved it into her purse along with her t-shirt from the night before.
"Got any more room in that suitcase?" Niall asked with a teasing smile. Aylie laughed and held her hand out to Niall. "Might need these after a shower." Niall flushed pink as he handed her a pair of clean pants. "You ready?" Niall inquired as she shoved the single article of his clothing in with hers. Niall pulled a new t-shirt and jumper over his head. Aylie didn't reply with words; she just headed for the door, grabbing her leather jacket from the back of the sofa. Niall took Aylie's hand as he came up behind her. Aylie couldn't help but let yet another smile grace her lips. "Come on, babe." Niall murmured before leading her out of the hotel room.


"Okay, so this is home." Aylie announced as she lead Niall into her small flat. "It's not very big but it's just me here so..." She trailed off. "Make yourself at home." Aylie grinned nervously as Niall peeked around.
"This is nice." Niall stated, his eyes still roaming the small flat. "It's very you." He added before releasing her hand and making his way into the main room. He surveyed the art on the walls, as well as all of the books, cds and films on the shelves. He noticed the dainty plants by the windows and the stack of well worn books on the coffee table. It was a home that was lived in. He felt as though he was learning so much more about her as he walked around her flat. Aylie leaned against the door frame just watching Niall snoop around the main room.
"I'll get you some towels for a shower." Aylie announced, giggling as Niall examined her bookends. Niall turned to her with an embarrassed smile. "Come on, sweetheart." Aylie motioned for Niall to follow her. He walked behind her down the narrow hall toward the bathroom and the small closet next to it. Aylie opened the small closet door, releasing the gentle smell of vanilla and sandalwood. Aylie then handed him a towel and pointed to the next door, "The bathroom is there. Everything you need is in there. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." She then pointed down the hall back toward the main room. Aylie then kissed his lips before watching him walk into the bathroom. Aylie sighed heavily and headed for her kitchen. She knew she had to make a few calls before Niall returned from his shower.


Aylie and Niall had been roaming around the city hand in hand for most of the day. It was getting closer to sundown and they'd not even noticed.
"Wow, look at how late it is." Aylie stated as her giggles died down. Niall checked his watch and couldn't believe it. "Let's go back to my place. I'll make you dinner." Aylie smiled up at Niall.
"Why not just stop in here? This place looks nice." Niall said motioning to the pub they'd stopped in front of. Aylie looked up at the building and was instantly filled with anxiety.
She shook her head and whined, "No. I wanted to cook for you. Sunday dinners are the best when you make them at home." Niall lifted his eyebrow in suspicion. "Please, baby?" Aylie pleaded, just wanting to get away from the building.
"Why don't you want to go in there?" Niall inquired, noticing her apprehension.
"We ate out last night. I'd rather cook for you." Aylie beamed brightly at him. "Come on. You're telling me that you don't want that Sunday roast I started for you while you took a shower?" Aylie giggled.
"You win, woman." Niall gave in with a growl. Aylie wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips softly.
"Aylie!" She and Niall broke apart at the sound of her name. They both turned to see a tall man with dark eyes and dark hair walking toward them. Aylie held onto Niall a bit tighter as the man came closer. "Who's is your friend?" The man asked Aylie motioning to Niall with a menacing smile.
"Hey. I'm Niall." He stated, holding his hand out politely to the man that seemed to know Aylie well. The man shook Niall's hand with that same eerie smile on his face.
"Jannon." The man replied casually.
"Aylie, you don't have any greeting for me?" Jannon inquired, his tone becoming something that Niall didn't like.
"Hello, Jannon." Aylie nearly spat the phrase at him. Niall lifted his eyebrow but didn't speak on the tension between them. "Come on, Niall. Let's go home. I'm ready for supper." Aylie tried to tug Niall away from the brutish man before them.
Jannon's eyes darkened, "Why don't you just come into the pub? You know that Kerrianne probably has something made special for Sunday."
"I've already made supper at home. We were just out for an evening stroll." Aylie replied with a venomous tone. Niall became more curious about the exchange as Aylie began to pull him back in the direction of her flat.
Jannon chuckled cynically, "See you around, Niall. Good night, Aylie."
"Come on, baby. Let's go." Aylie murmured, wrapping her arm around Niall's waist. Niall glanced back at Jannon again. It had unnerved him seeing the tall man, with unusually dark features staring at them as they walked toward home.

"Aylie." Niall spoke softly as he sat at the dinner table. She looked back at him with smiling eyes. Niall couldn't help but smile back at her. "What was that on the street?" Niall inquired with a gentle voice. Aylie brought two plates to the table and sat down across from Niall.
"What? Jannon?" She replied, barely phased by the question. Niall nodded; he needed to know why the man was so off-putting to the both of them. Aylie sighed heavily, "I've known Jan for most of my life. He's...an ass." Aylie replied. "But, he's also my best friend's cousin. So I'm kind of stuck with him."
"It seemed like it was more than that." Niall stated, wanting the whole story.
"Oh," Aylie laughed. "You mean, how he was basically trying to glare holes through your body?" Niall nodded, laughing a bit himself. Aylie shrugged, "He's always had this notion that I was going to be his girlfriend. That will never, ever happen. It's been like thirteen years or something and he still won't let it go." Niall nodded, accepting Aylie explanation even though it seemed as though there was more to it. Aylie leaned over the table and kissed Niall tenderly. "He's actually harmless. Just a jealous little boy." Aylie's voice was reassuring but he saw something in her eyes that made him think the statement was far from truth. "Now, eat. I have plans for you tonight." Aylie smirked as her rear returned to her seat. Niall nodded and took a bite of the well presented supper.
Niall moaned softly, "Damn, woman." Aylie giggled loudly as Niall dove into the dinner like he hadn't eaten in days.
