"WE'RE GONNA WRITE TODAY!" I yell while taking a seat at my desk. I lustily look at the empty word document before me.
Rapidly, I type out "Chapter One." From there, I precede to sit there for an hour, staring at the blinking cursor.
"Well, it looks like my work is done for the day." Frustratedly, I slam my laptop shut and then go scream into a pillow until I turn purple.
Anyone else experiencing déjá vu from this brief scene? And non-writers think we can just pull novels out of our arses. HAH, IF ONLY.
