Broken Trust: Head Vs Heart

He walked into the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Oh nothing."
When he walked back out he was holding something behind his back.
"Close your eyes and I'll give you a surprise," he sang.
"Okay."
Five minutes later, I heard rustling.
"Open your eyes!"
What I saw was horrific.
Blood... Red as the sun lit sky at sunset.
He had killed my family. My real dad and my mom. Lily was gone too. Max was no where I'm sight.
Dead... They lay sprawled on the floor.
Gone... Away their souls went.
His face was pale, dark purple rings say under his eyes, and a psychotic look took over his features.

When I awoke, I couldn't breathe. As I gasped for air I realized that it has been a dream, more like a nightmare. I silently sobbed, hot tears hitting my face one after another. Good thing Liam isn't like that, I thought... Or am I wrong?
After that nightmare I just couldn't go back to sleep so I stayed up all night. My mom told me that Max is at work, Lily is at school, and she's leaving for work, which is reassuring, so I have the house to myself.
As I check my phone I realize I have a text from Liam.

Liam: Hey can I come over now?
Olivia: Sure if you want
Liam: K be there soon baby
