Broken Trust: Head Vs Heart

Liam's POV

Half an hour is a very long time to wait when you are very excited to see someone.
Finally the time passed and the lady at the desk called me over. "She's ready. Her room is down the hall, 18th door on the left."
"Ok!"
I did this walk-sprint thing down the hall. I found room 18 and stood in front of the door. She's in there but I don't know if I'm ready to see her.

Olivia's POV

The annoying nurse came back into my room while I was asleep. She woke me up and told me, "Someone is here to see you. You've been sleeping for five hours so you are well enough rested." Oh great, someone is here to see me. Yipeee, I thought.
When the door opened, a dark figure walked in. His clothes were a very dark blue or black color and I guess the nurse forgot to turn the light on so that made it worse.
"Hi," a male voice said awkwardly. I recognised that voice anywhere.
"What are you doing here?" I asked very puzzled.
"I'm here to see you."
"Well I don't fucking want to see you!"

Liam's POV

When I walked into the room I noticed that it was very dark.
"Hi," I said. Why did I say that? When she started yelling I backed off.
"Oh okay." I walked out of the room, upset.
"Wait!" I heard her yell.
"Yes?"
"What happened?"
I explained our date, when we left, how I heard her yelp, her dad and my encounter, her running, and the news. It all seemed to be coming back to her.
"Oh, well, I'm sorry for yelling," she said quietly.
"It's fine," I began, " Is it okay if I say?"
"I don't know Liam."
"What did I do!?" I yelled.
"Nothing but..."
"But what?"
"I'm scared," she whispered, barely audible.
"Of what?"
"I'm scared of having a real relationship and being hurt again."
"I know it seems like I will but I promise I will never ever hurt you."
"Fine I believe you... I think," she said which made me so happy.
"Well I guess I better get going since you don't seem too happy to see me."
"No! Please stay." Her pleading was then silenced by a soft sob.
"Olivia, what's wrong?" She didn't answer.

Olivia's POV

As I sat there crying I had no idea what to say. "Please tell me what's wrong."
"You're what's wrong Liam. I love you but I can't love you because I'm scared."

Liam's POV

I sat there in shock, just staring at her. I can't believe that she said she loved me. "You love me?" I asked, smirking.
"Yeah..." she blushed and hid her face.
"What are you so scared of?"
"I'm scared of getting hurt. I'm scared of you leaving me or cheating on..." I shut her up by kissing her which seemed to surprise her but this time she didn't push me away. Instead she kissed me back.
"I love you too," I began, "too much to ever hurt you."

Olivia's POV

In that moment, I knew that he was the one. He was the one that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I just don't know if I can do it or if I will push him away. Decisions are so hard to make... Why me?

I'm sorry that this is kinda a short chapter and that we haven't posted in a month. We have written 10 chapters and will post them until we are caught up. After that our schedule will be posting on Mondays and Wednesdays.
