It's You?!

Chapter 9.

*Niall's POV*
The rain was softly hitting the pavement from outside and the streetlights showed the wet roads, Right across the street from my house was her house, excuse me, I mean her former house. Which she has probably long forgotten about, I heard from my mum that it was bought by the Lewis family, whose son -Daniel Lewis- was best friend to Christine Braveries.

Daniel Lewis was always a nice guy, looking out pretty much everyone. He was the paper boy when he was about twelve, and he made sure that everyone got their papers without getting hurt.

When Krissy left, just the year afterwards me and Daniel -Danny- became close friends. I wonder if he'd still remember me...

"Hey Mum? How has Danny been, over the years?" I asked my mum, while the rest of the lads were lounging about.

"Um.. Well, he's still as sweet as the lad you last saw. Um.. Oh! Just recently he broke up with that wretched girl you always said that was never right for him. What was her name? Oh fickle, never mind.. But he's been quite depressed and sad about it, his mum keeps send girls, just to see him happy again. But alas none of the girls he's met mad him smile.." My mum said with glum looks, I used to remember Danny as the boy who almost always smiles, and hearing that he has been depressed for a while, makes me really feel sorry for him, even if his ex was just 'Ugh!' She made him happy and-

"excuse me, Mrs. H, but if that's him he doesn't look to depressed to me" Zayn said, gesturing to the window, the view blurred from the rain but you could still see that across the street Daniel Lewis was at his front door, giving a hug to a beautiful girl. The girl gave him a soft kiss on the check before walking into the street, the girl was halfway down the block before she stopped and ran back to Danny's house. She soon slipped and fell hard onto the pavement, when that happened we all ran out into the rain. The rest of the lads got the girl, and I ran to Danny's door pounding onto it.

"Danny! DANNY!" He opened the door with look of the confused on his face.

"NIALL!!! Dude! Buddy! You didn't tell me you came back to Ireland!" he said excitedly, I ignored his exulted exclamations, I began to drag him into the rain.

"What's up mate?," he asked looking at me as if I was crazy

"Some girl, fell on the street, hard. She came from your house." I said, to him straight. His eyes, when wide, it looked liked he knew the girl possibly even cared about her deeply. When he heard that statement it wasn't me pulling him, it was more like him dragging me, like a rag doll.

We arrived at my house and on the couch was the girl, Danny immediately sat down next to her, helping as much as he could. I looked at the girl, I knew who she was, but I wouldn't admit it to myself.

The girl was Christine Braveries, I finally admit it, the girl in front of me was and is Christine Braveries. I walked away, I needed to think for a long, time.

*Krissy's POV*
I had just left Danny Lew's house, I was about halfway down the block when, something compelled me to run back like I had forgotten something, I slipped and fell hard on to the concrete. I knew upon the fall I was out cold, then if that was the case, how come I remembered everything-in great detail?

I remember the pounding of several footsteps coming toward me, one pair ran right past me, the rain was still soft and I hear someone banging on a door, the rain falling on me stopped and I knew I was brought into a house- for the warm gush of air. I could feel the presence of people around me, I didn't hear their words but I felt someone kneel beside me. The door opened and closed, signaling that someone had either entered or left the room. I felt cold pacts on my head when I heard a voice; soft, clear, and definitely feminine. This is what she said,

"Leave the girl be, she is perfectly fine, she just needs rest. Harold will you please drop her in one of the rooms, please" She seemed kind and caring, most likely a proud mother.

Then I felt someone pick me up, probably the Harold fella, I felt that person climb some stairs, but before disappearing out of earshot, I heard this.

"Now guys, don't worry let's just. Get some sleep, he'll turn up soon, she'll wake up and we will all be fine." The voice was; masculine, calming- or at least trying to keep calm- and who was this 'he' who didn't turn up?

I did not know how long I slept, but I slept soundly. I awoke in a room, a typically bedroom; with light blue walls, white dressers, and an Irish flag on one of the walls. It looked as if the room hadn't been touched in months, there were pictures on the dressers, some were of a group of friends and family, suddenly there was a pain in my head, I looked at one line picture of a boy, around thirteen, blond hair, blue eyes. He looked familiar, but I realized that was Niall. This was his room, I suddenly felt as if I was intruding, imposing, it felt wrong to snoop around his room. From all the pictures on the dresser only one was not inside a frame. It was a school picture, probably third or fourth grade, I saw Niall instantly; his hair may have been his natural brown, his eyes could never lie, and to the far right, I saw me?!

I never knew, or noticed, that he went to my school, but I remembered that day.

We had to take this picture two grades at a time; preschool and kindergarten, first and second grade, third and fourth grade- that was me and Niall's grades. I remembered sitting next to Danny Lew, since he was my closest friend.

I never noticed at all, I never noticed until this day. I jolted out of my trance, seeing the time. 4:50 a.m. I looked around the room, I saw a bookshelf to the side and within the shelf was some yearbooks, I looked at the bindings. All of the schools he went to matched mine. One by one I took out each book, first locate myself, then checking the next upper grade for Niall, each time it was a match. Finally I saw the middle school year book I had never gotten, I found myself- that being the last school picture I had in Ireland, then I quickly flipped to the next grade, I saw Niall with his blond hair and blue eyes.

That picture felt all to familiar, no. no. Not the picture, I mean the face, his face seems all to familiar, like I've seen it before, far before than three months ago.

Could it? No! I mean- Could that even be true? Ugh I need to get to the bottom of the biggest mystery in entire life. Let's how good of a detective I can be, I mean that's also part of being a journalist.
