Damn, that statement was a cold splash of reality.

“I have a few questions, really.”

He took a sip of his beer. “Shoot.”

“Mom said asexual isn’t a thing. I’m just gay and I’m too scared to come out. Is that…true?”

“Only you know that.” He said. “I don’t know what you like.”

“Do you agree with Dad…I’m just too young?”

“Well, you asked for honesty, so yes I think you’re young but I can’t say for certain.”

“Did I break up 5 Seconds of Summer?”

“What?” He scoffed.

I was ready and embracing myself for the answer.

“Remember, you’re being honest.”

“You were probably a big part of it, yes. Luke was ready to drop everything for the dad role and they couldn’t continue without him. He walked away from it. But I don’t think the others resented him for it.”

“Does he resent me for it? Does he think I ruined his life?”

“Do you actually think that?” Jack exclaimed. “Do you have any idea how much he loves you? Does he not say that to you?”

“Yeah, he tells me all the time, and it’s not that I don’t think he loves me, it’s just I feel like he is always wondering what it would’ve been like if I had never come around.”

“I’m going to tell you a story, and Luke will be pissed that I told you it.”

“Okay…”
