Not gonna happen

In the Forest

Hayley’s POV
Today was crazy. I hope they don’t come back tomorrow. Jeez. Liam thought that I would just roll over and go on a date with Louis even though I have no feelings for him at all, I think. It was closing time and Michelle had already left. It was just Luke and I. I was wiping the benches when Luke approached me from behind. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck. I stopped wiping as my eyes fluttered closed. I moaned and I felt him smirk against my neck. I turned around and crashed my lips onto his. He wrapped his arms around my waist and in turn I wrapped mine around his neck. He pulled away.
"Jump" he whispered. I did what he said and jumped, wrapping my legs around his torso. He carried me into the backroom and set me down on the sofa.

*Next Day*
I woke up in my own room. How did that happen? Oh right. Luke and i, you know and then he drove me home. I looked at the clock and realised that i had less than twenty minutes to get ready. Shower, dressed, teeth, hair. I was all set. I walked out of my house and shut the door, locking it. I started to walk down the pathway.
"Hayley?" someone asked. I turned around to my left and saw Liam and Niall standing there in their front yard, staring at me. I turned around, practically ran to my car and drove off. Shit. Shit, Shit. Now they know that i live next door. I arrived at the coffee house 10 minutes later. Walking in, I tied my arpron around myself. Cassie wasn't working today, just me and Luke although Luke didn't work nearly as many hours as me and wouldn't arrive for another hour or so. I sat behind the counter and waited for any customers.
"YOU LIVE NEXT DOOR?" someone yelled as they walked in. i didn't even need to turn around to know who it was.
"None of your fucking business" i snapped at Niall
"Yea it kind of is since your our fucking neighbour" Liam spat. He didn't seem like one to get mad much so this was surprising.
"You have one minute to get off this property before i call the police for harrassment" i told them. Honestly my life is so shit that i don't care if they hate me or not, i was in no mood to deal with them. They both held their hands up and backed away before turning and walking out the door. I sighed in relief.

*After work*
It was Friday which meant i got off of work early for once. It was around 8.45 PM when i got home. I locked my car and looked at the front porch to be met with five pairs of eyes staring at me.
"Why are you standing on my front porch?" i asked them sweetly yet my eyes said "GET THE FUCK OFF MY PROPERTY"
"We just wanted to know who lived here. We didn't know what time you got off work so we have been here for a few hours. Surprised your mom or dad didn't come outside and kick us off" Louis said casually.
"Stalker" i muttered. By this point i was standing on the front porch next to them. I pushed past them and unlocked my door.
"Why don't you come in and we can discuss this over a cup of coffee or tea or whatever" i asked as i stood in the doorway holding the door open for them.
"Really?" Harry asked, his eyes lighting up.
"NO!" i yelled as i slammed the door in their faces. I smirked as i watched them leave with their heads down through the peep hole in my door. Then i saw Luke's car pull up. I opened the door as he slammed his car door shut.
"Hayley!" he yelled as he approached me. I shrunk back into my house.
"Why are they are your house? I thought you told me that they couldn't find out where you live for reasons that you know. Was that just an excuse so you could sleep with them?" he shouted.
"How dare you accuse me of that" i screamed in his face. CRACK. He slapped me across the face. I lifted my hand to where he hit me. It was stinging and burning. i suddenly had a burst of courage. My parents never hit me or hurt me purposely (every parent accidentally hurts their child once or twice) so i knew that abuse was wrong. Sometimes when you are hurt for a long time you start to think that it's normal or okay but it's not. Luke’s face was filled with fear and shock.
“Get out. Get the fuck out of my house, out of my life and don’t come back! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME? I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU EVER AGAIN! OUT! NOW!” I screamed at him as I walked towards him, hands clenched at my sides. I was pretty sure my eyes were shooting daggers at him. He scrambled out of the house and into his car before speeding off. I was frozen, I can’t believe he just did that to me. He was my first boyfriend, first kiss, first for a lot of things but not all things. Some of my firsts were taken from me and I never got the chance to experience them with someone I love. I ran out the front door not caring that it was still open. I ran past Niall and Liam’s house and kept going. I don’t know where I was going but I knew I had to keep running.

Louis’s POV
I heard loud shouts coming from inside Hayley’s house. What is going on? I knew her boyfriend was in there because I saw his storm into the house moments before. I heard shouting then silence. Then screaming which I am pretty sure was Hayley. Then her boyfriend rushed out of the house with tears in his eyes and sped away. I saw Hayley run off past the house and she kept running. I took off following her, ignoring the boys shouts after me. I ran for quite some time. I started to get puffed but thankfully she slowed down and stopped. We ran at least 10 blocks, wow she is fit. I took this moment to have a look at our surroundings. We were in a forest. Suddenly a man came out of the bushes and approached Hayley. I got kind of scared since he was quite tall and strong looking. I was getting ready to jump him when Hayley spoke up.
“Hey” she smiled half - heartedly.
“Hey babe” he replied. Babe? Was he her 2nd boyfriend or something? He was smirking but his face softened when he saw Hayleys expression. She had been crying and her eyes were red and puffy but even so she still looked beautiful. What am I saying?
“What happened?” he asked her as they both sat down on a log. I was still hidden in the bushes, secretly listening or eavesdropping on their conversation.
“Luke, he..he…he was just like my brother, I think that was the reason I was dating him in the beginning” she paused. Luke? I am pretty sure she is talking about her boyfriend.
“I missed my brother so much, but after a while I started to fall for Luke. Then today, he turned out just like Max” she whispered the last part. Who is Max? What about her brother?Now I am officially confused.

Hayley’s POV (again)
Cassie and James were the only people in the world who knew about Max. He was my crush in middle and high school. He was the player type and incredibly sexy and charming and smooth. Thinking about him used to make my knees wobble but now it makes me sick. He basically ignored me through middle school until I lost a bunch of weight in the break before my sophomore year. Then he started flirting with me and asked me out on a date. SQUEEEE. He led me into the forest and told me he had a surprise waiting for me. He led me along a trail which we strayed from ten minutes into the walk. We sat on a log in a clearing with bushes all around us (the same one that I was currently in) and talked until we started making out. I told him I didn’t want to do anything more than kiss because I didn’t want to be known as a slut or anything but he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
*flashback*
“No Max, please” I begged him to stop as he pinned me against a tree. He started grinding on me and placed rough kisses on my lips and neck. I tried my best to push him off but he was strong.
“No Max HELP HEEELLLLPPP” I screamed even though it was no use. One of his hands slid down my skirt and started playing with the hem of my underwear. I was sobbing and begging for him to stop.
“OI! What do you think you are doing mate?” asked a guy who looked roughly our age. He was tall and strong looking and was wearing shorts, a tank top and sneakers. I guessed he was running along the trail when he heard me shout or something. Max jumped off me and ran off, obviously scared by this guy. I slid down the tree and sobbed into my hands with my face buried in my knees. I felt someone sit down beside me but I didn’t acknowledge them.
“Are you okay?” asked the man who saved me. I looked into his eyes and they seemed genuinely concerned. I nodded.
“I’m James”
*end of flashback*
“What did he do?” James asked me, anger rising in his voice.
“Nothing, it’s not important” I stated simply, looking at the ground. I felt James’ eyes staring at the side of my face. Then suddenly he gasped
“He hit you?” he whispered. I shook my head.
“Then what the fuck is this mark on the side of your face Hayley?” James asked even angrier than before. Not at me, but at whoever put that mark on my face.
“Technically, he slapped me” I corrected James.
“This is no time for technicalities Hayley" he stood up from his position on the log.
"You need to tell someone, call the police. I don’t care, JUST DO SOMETHING” he was telling me. I know he was trying to help but sometimes he could be so daft.

Back to Louis’ POV
I wanted to go find Luke or whatever the fuck his name was and a lot worse than slapping him. How dare he put a single finger on such a beautiful angel. What did I just say? Beautiful angel? Yes, Hayley was pretty but angel was going a bit extreme. And now I am talking to myself. Great. I am officially going insane. The guy who she was talking to started going off his rocket.
“This is no time for technicalities Hayley. You need to tell someone, call the police. I don’t care, JUST DO SOMETHING” he told her. She shook her head.
“The police will want a statement from my parents which they clearly can’t give so there is no point. Sometimes you can be so daft James” Hayley said. This girl is so mysterious. So secretive. I guess that is why she is so appealing to me. Wait, what? What happened to her parents? Why can’t they give a statement? Who is this Max guy? Who is this James guy that she is talking to? Now my head started to hurt but I wanted answers.
