Not gonna happen

Hayley’s POV
There is a party tonight at Niall and Liam’s house. I don’t know why but they decided to throw it so yeah. Of course, I was invited but I’m not going to go. Mainly because I know that Louis was also invited and no doubt he will bring Eleanor and that proud smile that he gets when he looks at her stomach. The baby bump is quite noticeable and it makes me sick every time I look at it.

I walked over to Niall and Liam’s place and entered, not bothering to knock. Niall and Liam were both in the lounge room as well as Zayn and Harry.

“Hey guys” I greeted, plopping down next to Liam.

“So Liam, have you talked to Cassie lately. Cause she hasn’t been returning my calls or anything” I asked, genuinely worried about my best friend.

“No. Not lately” he said sadly. I felt sorry for him.

“Yeah. He’s been busy” Niall snarkily commented. Liam looked up from his phone and glared at Niall, who glared back. I immediately sensed the tension in the room.

“Ummm, okkaaayyy. Well, I have some good news for Zayn” I smiled at him. He was looking down at his lap with a sad expression on his face. He has been like this since the break-up and it’s unhealthy. Zayn looked at me and my heart broke. His hair was ruffled and his cheeks were pink. His eyes were puffy and red like he had been crying. They were still glossy like he was going to burst into tears at any moment.

“Yeah?” he asked.

“Yeah!” I nodded. He looked at me eagerly. “It’s about Jessie” when I said her name his eyes shone.

“What about her?” he asked sadly.

“Well. Umm, I was talking to her yesterday and she said she misses you. I think you should call her and maybe ask if she wants to catch up?” I told him. He scrambled off the couch and out of the room, taking his phone out of his pocket in the process. *Sigh* he is so madly in love with her that it is almost sickening. Almost.

“Is there a reason why you are here Hayley?” Niall asked.

“Wow, way to cut the shit Nialler. Actually I just came to say that I won’t be at the party tonight” I said getting up.

“Noooo. You have to come. C’mon. We can go together” Harry whined.

“What about Michelle?” I asked him. I assumed that he would be taking his girlfriend.

“Oh. Umm, she and I actually broke up, she umm, moved” Harry replied sheepishly.

“Well you don’t seem very upset about it” I observed

“Nah. There’s nothing I can do about it. Plus, were still in touch” Hmmm, I wonder why Michelle didn’t tell me. I mean, were not BFF’s or anything but I thought we were friends. Oh well.

“Well, I guess I better be going” I said, standing up.

“Wait, are you coming or not?” Harry begged

“Fine. I will go with you. Just meet me here” he smiled and went back to his phone. I smiled at his excitement and left yelling a quick bye to Zayn.
