"Lyn" I call her name as a faint whisper and see her on the couch, I don't think she has moved since I ran out earlier.
"Olivia." She stands and hugs me tight, and I reciprocate. "Are you ok love?" She asks and I nod against her shoulder. I take her hand and take us to the couch.
"Lyn i need to tell you something." A tear falls from my eye.
"I've never told anyone this." I am ready for the truth to come out.
"I am listening darl." She tucks a piece of hair behind my hair. I take a deep breath.
"The reason I was cutting, I mean I didn't even notice I was doing it. It just felt like a release."
"A release from what honey."
My tears build up now. "Back home there was this man who worked with Uncle James at the hospital he lived out of town so sometimes he would come and stay with us. " I gulp down.
"He used to come into my bedroom. He made me touch him." I lose the myself and cry.
"Sweetheart I am so sorry." Lyn wraps her arms around me and starts to cry also. "Did you tell your uncle what happened?" she asks me and I shake my head. "I couldn't I mean he was Uncle James's friend. "
"I hated myself Lyn, I hated what I did, I hate my body." I cry again. "He used to say this will be our little secret."
"Shh honey your safe here now."
After a long, exhausting, emotional day I go up to my room and try and go to sleep tonight.
