Surrounded yet Alone

I remember last month getting a call from Simon Cowell himself, welcoming me into the band. I remember calling my parents right after to tell them the great news. Soon after that, I remember receiving a call from all the boys. I remember them all sounding excited that I was chosen to join the band, which just made me even more anxious to start.
Now is the week a whole new chapter of my life changes. Tomorrow, the boys will be coming to my home town for a week to get to know me better and vice versa. The guys and I have bonded a little, but that was mostly through all the intense interviews I had to go through. It seemed like they asked me every question they could think of. All the boys seemed super sweet and kind, especially Niall and Harry. I knew we'd get along just find when we go on tour.
Speaking of the tour, we'll be going on the "Where We Are" tour as soon as this week is over. I'm so excited, but so many thoughts keep slipping through my brain like "what if nobody likes me?" or even worse... "what if I get booed when I sing?". I try to push those thoughts out of my head, but it's hard to do.
Since the day that I was officially announced part of the band, my life changed. My social media accounts have blown up, I'm constantly getting tweets from fans who like me and my voice and from people who absolutely hate me. Honestly, everyone's support has made me so happy and tomorrow couldn't come sooner.
Right now I'm just cleaning my apartment and thinking about all the events from within the past month. In 2 hours I have to leave to go teach dance to little kids. I've been dancing all my life and the studio I now work at has become my second home. Performing is my passion and I love sharing that passion with the kids I teach.
Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted by my phone ringing. I immediately start smiling ear to ear when I see who it is.
"Hi Louis!", I answer maybe a little too eager and excited.
"Hey love, how are you doing? Are you excited for tour to start soon?", Louis replies. He has to talk loudly because there are other people talking in the room he's in.
I began to answer him when I hear an Irish boy in the background say a little too loudly, "Louis, are you talking to Luna? Put her on speaker!"
Louis sighs, "Sorry Luna, do you mind if I put you on speaker? The boys wanna say hi"
"Of course!", I laugh. Louis puts me on speaker and I say hi to all the boys, still with a huge smile on my face.

I talked to Louis, Harry, Liam, and Niall for over an hour. I realized I had to leave soon to go teach at dance so I had to hang up with them. However, after talking to them, they left my mind racing. Because tomorrow, the boys will be here and my entire life will change.
