The day goes by slowly and I ignore Nikki as much as I can.


Not that I'm mad at her for dating my brother, it's just that she didn't told me.
And maybe because she's choosing Mike's side in this whole drama..


I walk home since I don't wanna drive with Mike and Ashton had only a few classes today, so he's at his house already.


When I close the front door I hear my mother in the kitchen.
"Hey sweetie." She smiles
"Hey." I yawn as I fill a glass with water.



"How was school?" She asks.
"Horrible." I grumble.



"What's wrong?"


"Besides The fact that Mike is dating my best friend behind my back and he dares to judge my relationship with Ashton?" I sit down.


My mum sighs.
"He's complicated May..."


"Does it look like I care?!"
"May..."


"No. No. He can't forbid me to have feelings for Ashton and then date MY best friend behind my back. That's not complicated mum. That's selfish."



I stand up and and turn around to see Mike and Nikki looking at me, still standing in the doorway.



"Oh great." I grown as I grab my bag.
"May..." Nikki begins.



I ignore her and through the door way, bumping into her shoulder on the way.
I may or may not have done that on purpose.



I slam the front door shut and walk to Ashton's.
I knock and within a few seconds he opens.


"Hey, you're not the call girl." He says.
I roll my eyes and smile.



"Hello to you too." I smile and kiss him before walking in.
He closes the door behind us.



"What's wrong?" He asks.
"Nikki and Mike are at my house." I answer.



"Cutie, you'll have to face them someday."
"No I don't."



"We all know that you do. He's your brother May.."
"So?"



He sighs and walks to me.
"You know damn well that you can't avoid your brother forever. He needs you, you need him."


"Are you picking his side too now?!" I roll my eyes and turn around, away from him.


I lean on the kitchen counter and feel his hands softly going up and down my thighs before he hugs me.
"Of course not. I'm just saying that fighting is not the solution."



I roll my eyes again.
"I came here so I don't have to think about it and you're bragging about it." I sigh.


"I know, I'm sorry. Let's watch a movie, okay?" He rests his head on my shoulder.
I nod my head and we walk upstairs to his room.



I choose a movie and we cuddle on his bed while watching it.
"I still think that you should talk Nikki, at least."


"Ashton.." I sigh.
"C'mon, she has been your best friend for how long? 6 years?"


"11." I mumble quietly.
"Well then, you're seriously letting your brother come between that?"


"I thought that we wouldn't talk about it anymore." I squeak, not looking at him.
"I know. I just...-" he sighs.


"I'm not talking about the things that you don't wanna talk about either."
"Like what?"


"Like your parents. Your family in general. I know you don't like to talk about it."
He sighs again.



"But I would like to know." I add.
"You would like to know all the shit that has been going down in my family?" He snaps.



"I would like to know what's hurting you so bad because I wanna help you."
"You can't help me."


"But I can try."
"You'll fail. Just like everyone else who tried to 'help' me."


"At least I won't be beating myself up about the fact that I didn't do anything."
"May.."


"You see? You don't wanna tell me. So I dropped it. But you want to talk on and on about my problems while you can't even talk about your own." I don't raise my voice at all while talking, nor do I look at him.


He sighs again.
"My parents aren't even here. In this town." He mumbles.


"I know, you told me. They're on a business trip."
"No. They're still in Adelaide. They won't come here either."


"Why not?"
"Because they don't know that I'm here."


"Wait. What?"
"They don't know that I'm here. I ran away."



"You ran away? Totally to the other side of the country?! Are you crazy?! How did you even get into the school then? How did you bought a house? But I saw your parents, didn't I?!"


"Copied my dad's signature and used his credit card. And you didn't saw them, you saw the people that got me in contact with Mr. Brown."


I look at him for a second.
"Can... Do you wanna tell me why you ran away?" I ask softly.



"Would you like to know?"
I nod my head slowly.



"But only if you're sure about sharing it."
He nods his head.


"It doesn't really matter. I just didn't feel at my place. I know that I grew up there, but I never really felt at home there. My parents were never there, and the aunt who babysat me abused me. I felt like I didn't belong there, so I ran away."


"But without knowing if this would be your place? You didn't know anyone here, did you?"
"Not a single soul." He chuckles.


"So, putting everything on risk. Like literally everything. You ran away in the hope for a better place? How do you even pay for your electricity and water and food?"
"Ever heard about a job?"


"But that doesn't pay enough to pay for everything."
"Would I be a bad person if I said 'my dad's credit card' again?"


"You still have it?"
"No, I have my own. But I have his passwords..."



"And he doesn't notice?"
"Probably not. He has a lot of money standing on that bank account so he wing miss a couple thousand dollars."



I sigh.
"I'm sorry that you had to go through all this... But I'm happy that you told me."



"I don't really mind. At the end, it all brought me to you." He smiles and kisses me on top of my head.



"Can I stay over?" I ask.
"Sure, but promise me that you'll talk to Nikki tomorrow."


I sigh.
"Fine. I will try."


"Thank you."
"yeah, you owe me big time." I smirk and roll my eyes.


He smiles before kissing me softly.


He lifts up my shirt over my head and put his lips immediately back on mine.
He deepens the kiss as he climbs on top of me.

The kisses got rougher before he pulls back and smirks.
"Well, then let me make it up to you already."

Sooo... I'm doing a project for my sociology/psychology/Geograohic (yes, I have those classes combined but I have an geographic A and B class, this is class A) class and it's about people view on the world out how the world developing and affecting people.
What I'm asking from you is to DM me your opinion about something accurate that's happening right now. Preferably something among us as teenagers/young adults (Yes, I'm talking about the selfharm, the digital age that has an opinion about everyone, the pressure of being a kid in general, etc.)
This doesn't need to be a paragraph long or anything, just a few sentences are enough :).
Maybe you have experienced these kinda things? Of course you don't need to share them, only if you want to ;)
If you could put the country that you live in at the end? I don't need your name but you don't have to put your country in there too if you don't want to :).
