Live Shows: Week 1 – Part 1

Kaylie’s POV

Saturday, 24th September

The tick tock of the clock only increased my nerves. I was so fucking nervous, it was ridiculous. I felt like I was about to throw up. I sat alone in the Under 25 Girls dressing room, waiting to go and get changed into my first outfit for tonight’s show. My whole family plus Vanessa and Marcus were here tonight. They had just left the room to go to their seats, leaving me to try and relax in isolation. It was not working.

The show would air at exactly 8pm and it was 7:30pm right now. I already had my hair and make-up done; I only needed to get into my clothes and I was ready to go out onto the stage for the first time. The Group Performance of the Top 12 would open the show before moving onto the individual performances. I was scheduled to be the last contestant to perform so the nerves would eat up at me until the very end. Fantastic. I shook my head.

After another minute, I decided I couldn’t sit here any longer so I got up and left the room, heading down the corridors towards the wardrobe department. Crew were rushing about the place and I did my best to keep out of the way, letting them to their jobs to the best of their ability. The door to the wardrobe department was open so I walked right in.

I regretted it immediately.

It was so busy with stylists attending to the various contestants. I saw Melody fixing her hair, tucking it behind her ears as a female stylist adjusted the straps of her revealing dress on her slim shoulders. (http://www.polyvore.com/melody_group_performance_week/set?id=207738942) We made eye contact for a few moments before Gary interrupted it, placing his hand on my arm.

“There you are, Kaylie! I was just about to come and get you! Let’s get you into your outfit, honey!” The head of wardrobe smiled and dragged me over to two female stylists; one of them had a dress hanging over their arm and the other one held my shoes and my earrings, for I already had my gold ring on my finger. Ten minutes later, I was dressed in my first outfit and I felt great. (http://www.polyvore.com/kaylie_group_peformance_week/set?id=207738584) I adjusted my long ponytail and rolled my shoulders back. I was ready.

I left the business of the wardrobe department and walked back down the corridors, the sound of my heels echoing off the walls. I had a smile on my face, my hair swishing against my back as I strolled down the hall, lyrics repeating in my head.

“Kaylie.”

I stopped walking and looked over my shoulder to see Melody walking towards her. Ugh, what now? I didn’t want to listen to her shit but I didn’t want to be impolite. It just wasn’t in my nature to be excruciatingly rude.

“Yes?” I cocked an eyebrow at her.

“I assume you’ve kept your mouth shut about our conversation? You must remember the consequence if you tell someone.” She said to me. Jesus, is she still threatening to tell Harry about my crush on him? She has a crush on him too! She’s so flirty with him, it makes me sick! I folded my arms and curled my lips in disdain.

“Bit petty, don’t you think? Resorting to threats?”

Melody didn’t say anything and placed her hand on her hip, sticking her slim leg out, wanting to show off how gorgeous her body was. Tart. I said in my head.

“So what if you tell Harry I have a crush on him? I mean, doesn’t everybody? You certainly do, given how touchy-feely you are around him.” I continued my rant. Melody opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off with another remark.

“You’ve got some real nerve, you know, Melody. You think it’s going to make him stay away from me? He’s my mentor and we have rehearsals coming up. And have you considered he might have a crush on me?” I smirked.

“A crush on you? You? Aw, babe, you’re such a dreamer.” Melody laughed.

“Don’t ever call me “babe”.” I glared at her.

“Who would you rather have call you “babe”? Harry?”

“No, he calls me “angel”. What does he call you? “Skank”?”

Melody looked completely horrified and offended and it honestly made me feel so good, to stand up for myself. It was time she got a taste of her own medicine. Before our argument could continue, I heard the sounds of heels followed by a familiar voice.

“What’s going on here?”

I looked over Melody’s shoulder and saw Alicia walking over to us, dressed in her outfit. (http://www.polyvore.com/alicia_group_performance_week/set?id=207738744) She looked gorgeous and I was thankful she had arrived at this moment. I had enough of Melody and I didn’t want to advance the argument further because I knew it would turn into a cat fight over Harry. That’s not what Harry would want. So I held back. For Harry.

“I will repeat the question. What’s going on here?” Alicia asked again.

“Nothing.” Melody shot daggers at me before walking past me, her shoulder nudging mine as she strutted down the corridor, further and further away from us. Alicia and I watched her walk all the way to the end of the corridor and as soon as she disappeared, Alicia linked her arm through mine and looked at me seriously.

“What happened with Queen Bitch? I demand you tell me.”

I thought about Melody’s threat. I really didn’t want her to tell Harry about my feelings for him. That was my job, not hers. I didn’t want him to find out from her how I truly felt. He would wonder why I didn’t tell him myself. But I trusted Alicia. And I knew she wouldn’t leave me alone until I told her.

“OK but you must keep this between us.” I sighed in defeat. Alicia nodded as we proceeded to walk down the corridor, going to the stage. Along the way, I told her about Melody’s threat at the photoshoot and our argument that had just occurred. By the end, Alicia was fuming. Literally.

“We have to tell Harry.”

“No! What good will that do?” I said in shock.

“You seriously want her to stick around?”

“I just want to avoid her as much as possible. I don’t want to exploit her. She can do that just fine on her own.” I declared, ending the conversation. I didn’t want to talk about Melody, it was just a waste of my time. I had more important things to think and worry about.

My performances.

It was 7:57pm which meant in three minutes, the show would air live to the nation of the U.K. Alicia, Melody and I were standing in our positions behind the stage, ready to go out when it was our time to sing. There were curtains blocking our view but I managed to take a peek for a few seconds and I gasped.

The audience was full and I knew the people I loved were somewhere in that crowed, supporting me and cheering me on. Dermot was standing on the stage, prepared to deliver his lines to the camera. Then, the audience began to cheer and Dermot’s voice boomed out of the microphone.

“Welcome, everyone, to the first live show of The X Factor 2016!”

The audience cheered again and I felt my fingers weave with Alicia’s. We clutched hands tightly as Dermot continued his introductory speech. There was a recap of everything since the auditions to the end of Judges’ Houses before he introduced the judges. Lights blinded the stage as each judge appeared on the large double screen one by one.

Simon Cowell!

Mel B!
Dannii Minogue!
And Harry Styles!

I looked out from behind the curtain again just as the screen split open, revealing the four judges, all joined by their hands. They walked down the steps and stood on the stage confidently, dropping their hands from each other. Dermot said their names individually over the roar of the audience.

All of them looked great. Simon was well dressed in a silver suit with a white dress shirt and no tie, Dannii had her hair down, a silver necklace sparkled against her chest, and I could see the top of her dark blue dress, Mel B had her up in a tight bun and her hot pink dress had long sleeves, large gold hoops dangling from her ears. And Harry…he looked amazing. A pure black suit with a black dress shirt made out of silk underneath, unbuttoned appropriately over a loosely-knotted tie with his trademark long curls full of volume and shine. By God, he’s beautiful! I smiled to myself as they took their seats at The X Factor desk. I shoved the curtain back to its original position and grinned at Alicia, whose eyes were shining in the dim light.

After a brief chat with each of the judges, I heard Dermot introduce the contestants.

“Now, singing On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons, please give a warm welcome for your Top 12!”

The audience screamed and I squeezed Alicia’s hand one last time just as the first beats of the song started.

The Under 25 Boys started off the song, singing individually before coming together at the end of the first verse.

“If you love somebody
Better tell them while they’re here ’cause
They just may run away from you.
You’ll never know quite when, well
Then again it just depends on
How long of time is left for you.”

Then, the Over 25s took to the stage. It’s almost time. I said to myself as us three girls stepped out from behind the curtain and onto the stage.

“I’ve had the highest mountains
I’ve had the deepest rivers
You can have it all but life keeps moving.
I take it in but don’t look down.”

The spotlight shone on me and the two other girls as we launched into the chorus together.

“‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay.
I’m on top of the world, ‘ay.
Waiting on this for a while now.
Paying my dues to the dirt.
I’ve been waiting to smile, ‘ay.
Been holding it in for a while, ‘ay.
Take you with me if I can.
Been dreaming of this since a child.
I’m on top of the world.”

I smiled at Alicia, moving my hips to the tune, enjoying the performance. The audience screamed and cheered and yelled at us while we sung. And it was incredible. I knew this is where I belonged. On the stage with people cheering for me. We harmonised perfectly together and it was wonderful. I totally forgot about my hatred for Melody and grinned widely as the Groups came out to sing the bridge.

“And I know it’s hard when you’re falling down.
And it’s a long way up when you hit the ground.
Get up now, get up, get up now.
And I know it’s hard when you’re falling down.
And it’s a long way up when you hit the ground.
Get up now, get up, get up now.”

The Top 12 came together at the centre of the stage, all standing next to one another, singing our hearts out, smiling as the chorus repeated from us once again.

I’m on top of the world.
‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay.

Streamers fell down from the ceiling of the auditorium, all different colours, as all of us sung the final chorus together. It was so wonderful to see the group rehearsals pay off in this spectacular performance. It was such a treat.

The moment the song ended, the response from the crowd was crazy. Screaming, clapping, shrieking, you name it. The four judges gave us a standing ovation and my heart melted at the sight of Harry’s handsome smile, his dimples on show for everyone to see. The Top 12 took a bow and Dermot returned to the stage, encouraging the audience to scream even more.

Then, it was time for the first commercial break. The girl group, Firefly, would perform first when the show came back. Their song was Ugly Heart by G.R.L and I knew I would definitely be in the green room, watching them on the TV in there.

“Oh, honey, that’s perfect! You’re beautiful!” Gary exclaimed, clasping his hands together as he admired my outfit.

“Thanks, Gary.” I smiled, running my hands down the sides of my body, flattening out the dress. (http://www.polyvore.com/kaylie_live_shows_week/set?id=207737903) I will admit, the dress was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t believe I was wearing it. I never thought I would wear something this beautiful or expensive, because I knew this dress wasn’t cheap. I tightened my ponytail and adjusted my earrings before Gary physically pushed me out of the room, all with a smile on his face. I slapped him playfully on the shoulder and beamed widely before walking back to the green room.

The boy band, Under Fire, were on stage right now, performing Backstreet Boys’ Everybody. As soon as I walked into the room, the boys ogled at my body and the girls squealed at the beauty of my outfit. Alicia smiled as I sat down next to her, fixing the skirt of my black dress.

“You going to go out like that in front of Harry?” She whispered in my ear.

“Yeah.” I whispered back.

“He’ll orgasm, you know that, right?” Alicia laughed quietly and my mouth fell open, gasping. I nudged her shoulder gently and shook my head, trying hard to giggle. Alicia also looked beautiful in her outfit (http://www.polyvore.com/alicia_live_shows_week/set?id=207738105) and her performance of Ghost by Katy Perry had been amazing, hence her standing ovation from all four judges. Melody had sung Good For You by Selena Gomez and her dress was skin-tight, large white heels on her feet. (http://www.polyvore.com/melody_live_shows_week/set?id=207738345) She stuck her nose up at me and returned her eyes to the TV, watching Under Fire perform.

Ten minutes later, a crew member by the name of Jason told me it was time for me to head to the stage. Everyone but Melody wished me “Good luck” as I left the room, waving goodbye.

I followed Jason down the corridor as we walked behind the stage. I got my microphone pack hooked onto the back of my dress, connected to earpieces in my ears so I could hear the music better over the sounds from the audience. A commercial break was happening so there was time for me to take my position on the stage. I stood alone in the very centre, a microphone stand in front of me with the microphone clipped onto it. I adjusted the stand to accommodate my height and cleared my throat under my breath, tightening my ponytail for the third time.

The stage was dark but my silhouette could still be seen. I heard Marcus and Vanessa shout out my name and I smiled, raising my hand in the direction of where their voices came from. My eyes darted to the judges and discovered Harry was staring right at me. I swallowed deeply and wrapped my fingers around the microphone, trying to avoid his gaze but it was nearly impossible. His eyes were mesmerising and there was a smile playing on his kissable lips. Oh, sweet Jesus!

Before I could comprehend anything, TheX Factor music played and Dermot started to speak to one of the cameras near the judges’ desk.

“Welcome back to the first live show of The X Factor 2016. We’ve heard from all categories but we still have one more contestant to go. One of Harry’s Under 25 girls so why don’t you introduce her to us, Harry?” Dermot turned to face my mentor with a raised eyebrow. Harry smiled when he responded.

“Thanks, Dermot. This girl has intrigued me since her audition and here she is, doing her first live performance. Singing Flashlight by Jessie J, please welcome, Kaylie Walker.”

The audience cheered and a recap of my journey so far started to play on the large screens. It was all cut together nicely but it was so bizarre to watch myself back. There was me smiling, crying, hugging Harry, rehearsing with him, it was so odd to watch as an audience member. Then came my photoshoot, me walking down the catwalk, blowing streamers off my hands and smiling at the cameras as my name flashed across the screen, the famous X Factor voice shouting out my name quite dramatically. The audiences’ cheers died down as the song began to start. I raised my lips to the microphone while the spotlight shined on me.

“When tomorrow comes, I'll be on my own
Feeling frightened of the things that I don't know.
When tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes.
And though the road is long
I look up to the sky
And in the dark I found, I stop and I won’t fly.
And I sing along, I sing along, then I sing along.”

First verse out of the way.
I took a breath, remembering Harry’s advice on telling me to take a breath when it was needed. The music swelled at the chorus and a small smile spread across my face, reminiscing about the peaceful life of my grandmother.

“I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see the sweet life.
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight.
You're gettin’ me, gettin’ me through the night.
Can’t stop my heart when you shinin’ in my eyes.
Can’t lie, it’s a sweet life.
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight.
You're gettin’ me, gettin’ me through the night.
Cause you're my flashlight.
You're my flashlight, you're my flashlight, oh.”

My grandmother had been my flashlight and she was still my flashlight in death. I knew she was watching me right now, guiding me through the darkness, getting me through each and every night. She was still helping me, even through her passing. I was forever in debt to her because of that. My eyes scanned across the crowd, who were shrouded in dark light, so I couldn’t see a lot of their faces, which helped with my nerves. I found out that the further I got into the song, the quicker my nervousness seemed to fade. Finally being able to perform calmed me down and I could do what I loved. It was just me on the stage and no-one else, nothing to distract me so I could pour my emotions out, lay everything out for everyone to see, since the theme of the week was ‘Who I Am’.

“Light, light, light, you're my flashlight.
Light, light, you're my flashlight, light, light, light, light, oh.
You're my flashlight, oh-ohh.”

Since this was my rendition of Jessie’s song, Harry and I had agreed on me doing a high note because I liked doing them. So at the end of the “oh-ohh”, I held it for longer than the original and the playback of me singing the chorus kept going while I sang the high note. The response from the audience was amazing, all of them screaming.

You're my flashlight, you're my flashlight.
Oh-ohh oh-ohhh ohhhh ohh.
You're my flashlight, light, light.
You're my flashlight, light, light, yeah.
You're my flashlight.”

By the end of the song, my eyes were a little wet from tears but they never fell down my cheeks. Don’t want to ruin my make-up. The spotlight disappeared from me and I was plunged into darkness, only hearing the audience screaming and cheering for me, hollering out my name. I smiled and waved at the people at the front, who only squealed in response. I couldn’t believe this many people supported me. Before this, nobody at school knew who I was. Now, people were yelling out my name and I was on TV. I was so lucky.

The lights came back onto the stage and The X Factor logo gleamed on the large screens behind me. I looked up to see all four judges on their feet, applauding my performance. Even Simon?! I grinned. Harry’s smile was the biggest though and his clapping was the most enthusiastic. Well, he was my mentor so he favoured me over the other contestants in the other categories. A standing ovation for my first performance! Now there’s pressure to achieve it again! My mind told me but I was too caught up in smiling and completing my first live performance.

Dannii’s and Mel’s comments were motivating and kind, telling me to keep on doing what I was doing, since I was doing it very well so far. Dannii also said my performance was the perfect end to the show and I thanked for saying that, simply because I was so shocked. Simon recalled my audition when he had said I would make it to the live shows.

“I was right, wasn’t I? Great job, Harry.” Simon patted my mentor’s shoulder as Harry tucked strands of his brown locks behind his ear. He looked at me with those emerald green eyes of his and I found myself falling into them for the hundredth time.

“All the days of rehearsing definitely paid off. That was way better than of any of your rehearsals, Kaylie, and you’ve finally showcased to the nation who you really are. You’ve shown me and everyone else what you are capable of. Well done.”

“Thank you, Harry.” I smiled at him and he simply nodded, returning my smile. Dermot came back onto the stage and placed his hand on my bare arm. I looked up at him as he spoke.

“Your first performance, Kaylie. How was it?”

“It was…great. I mean, I enjoyed myself and I hope I showed the public at home what I’m like. And getting a standing ovation was the cherry on top.” I answered calmly. I turned to the camera while the host told everyone in the audience and the people at home how to vote for me to get through to next week. I blew a kiss to the camera as well as doing a peace sign (Harry smiled at that because he did that quite a lot himself). The X Factor music echoed around the stage as I walked off the stage, giving people at the front high-fives, heading backstage.

I had done it. I had done my first performance and it had gone way better than I ever could have imagined. A great reception from the crowed and all four judges standing up as well as amazing comments from them. It gave me a new boost of confidence to do even better next week. That’s if enough people voted for me to advance further into the competition.

Right after the end of the show, when the filming was over, I walked down the corridor behind the stage, where all the wires and switches were for the stage lights. I had to get out of my outfit and go home. To my surprise, my mentor appeared at the other end of the corridor, his tall body looking glorious in the golden light, his hair a thing of beauty and perfection. I smiled when I saw him and I called out his name. He turned his head in my direction and there it was.

His beautiful smile.

I stepped closer to him and he did the same, the smile never disappearing from his face. My stomach turned to mush and I was entranced by his face that I didn’t notice the wire on the floor in front of me. My high-heeled shoe got caught and I fell forwards with a gasp.

But I never landed.

A pair of strong arms caught me, wrapping around my waist tightly. I looked up at him and saw Harry’s face fraught with concern but his green eyes still sparkled.

“Whoa, you OK?” He asked me sweetly. I nodded my head, my lips parting at how close we were. His nose was millimetres away from my own and his lips were so so close to meeting mine. Kiss me, goddamit! I screamed but the words never left my mouth. I waited, looking into his eyes, wanting him to make a move. But he never did.

Harry helped me regain my balance on my heels and I looked at the floor in embarrassment. I knew it. He doesn’t want me. Why would he want me? A school girl? Melody was…right. No, I can’t let her words get to me! I was fighting with my heart and my head and it hurt both.

“Uh…you were incredible tonight.”

“Oh. Thank you, Harry. You helped me a lot.” I smiled at him.

“Yes but you were the one who performed and carried across the right emotions. I believed every word you sung.”

I blushed and fiddled with the gold ring on my right hand. I suddenly remembered my family were waiting for me. I was going to go home with them and celebrate my first performance when we got there. I couldn’t keep them waiting.

“Um…I’ve got to go. My family…they’re waiting for me.” I said nervously.

“Of course, of course.” Harry nodded. I licked my lips before sucking on my bottom one. I stared up at Harry. I didn’t want to go, not after our intimate moment. But I had to. Sometimes, you didn’t get what you wanted. That’s how the world worked. I wanted Harry but I couldn’t have him because he didn’t want me.

“Bye, Harry.” I began to stride past him and I had walked a few steps but the touch of a hand stopped me in my tracks. My head snapped back around, my long ponytail falling down my shoulder. I looked at Harry, following his gaze down to my forearm, where his hand was. His slender fingers wrapped around my skin, smooth and warmth.

“Wait a minute. I need…to do something.” He whispered. Wow…my heart… It started to race when he licked those lips of his. He stepped up to me and with his hand on my arm, he pulled me closer so our chests were almost touching. I gasped quietly as his other hand stroked my pink cheek, his knuckles brushing across my skin. He’s never done this before. I didn’t know what was going to happen. My stomach had turned inside out and my heartbeat showed no signs of slowing down.

“You’re so beautiful, you know that?” Harry’s deep voice sent shivers right down to my core. The way he made me feel was something I continued to crave. His touch was tender and his handsome face glowed in the minimal light. I would kill anyone who broke this moment between us. Literally. They would not survive another day. His fingers moved down to cup my bare neck while his thumb swept across the apple of my cheek. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I never wanted to look away.

Belle.” He murmured, the word rolling off his tongue. Oh Dear Lord, I forgot the guy speaks French! Ugh, what is he doing to me?! He began to lean down and our foreheads finally touched. My eyes flickered to his lips then to his eyes then back to his lips. I knew he knew what I wanted. And I knew what he wanted. We both wanted the same thing. So give it to me. Please, Harry! I yelled in my head. Then, Harry titled his head to the side and after so long, after all the dreams and thoughts, all the desires that were held back, our lips were finally pressed against each other warmly.

I couldn’t describe how perfect the kiss was. It was better than I ever could have dreamed of. His lips were so soft and smooth, gentle and sweet. I felt his fingers grip my neck while his hand came up to touch my other cheek. I didn’t know what to do. Where do I…touch him? I just went for it and raised my right hand, wrapping my fingers around his wrist, keeping his hand where it was, and my left hand slowly went up his arm, feeling the soft fabric of his suit jacket, continuing up onto his shoulder then into his long chocolate curls. I gripped some strands at the nape of his neck, titling my head up to deepen the kiss.

And then, Harry moaned.

It was the most beautiful arousing sound I had heard in my life. A warmth grew deep in my stomach and my fingers constricted in his hair, tugging his face down so I could kiss him more easily. I was already addicted to the taste of his lips and I wanted more. This was so wrong but it also felt so right. We shouldn’t be kissing in a public environment but the place was all but deserted. I just hoped no-one would walk into the corridor right now and see us. Simon would go nuts! I felt Harry’s mouth open for me and a second kiss was born, much more passionate and heated than the first one. It felt so wonderful and my heart pounded loudly against my chest, sighing when our lips parted. I breathed deeply and tucked my head in the crook of his neck; with my heels, I could do that. His hands cupped my face gently as his lips skimmed across my forehead.

No words were spoken between us as our bodies melted together into an embrace. My arms went around his back while his arms looped around my shoulders, kissing my forehead. I closed my eyes and inhaled his Tom Ford cologne, which was just as intoxicating as his lips.

“You have no idea…no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.” Harry whispered softly. I sighed into his neck and tightened my arms around him. I heard him chuckle, his hand tucking underneath my chin, bringing my head back to look at him. His pupils were dilated and his lips looked shiny from my nude lipstick, his hair a little unruly from me wrapping my fingers in it.

“How long?” I asked.

“Far too long, angel.”

My heart melted when he called me “angel”. I smiled up at him, never removing my arms from around his back.

“Can I…get another kiss?” I asked.

“Like you even need to ask, angel.” Harry smirked and leaned down once again to press his lips gently against mine. I sighed into his kiss, closing my eyes, savouring his sexy flavour. He was such a good kisser! Like really good. I felt him smile and I smiled too as he pecked my lips again quickly.

“Shouldn’t you be going?” He laughed.

“Oh, crap! My family! Uh…yeah, I should go. Sorry.” I said.

“Don’t apologise. I finally got to kiss you. You have nothing to be sorry for.”

That’s right. We’ve kissed.
I smiled. I gave him a nice long hug and he pressed a precious kiss to my cheek.

“I’ll see you tomorrow, Kaylie.”

“Mmm-hmm.” And with that, I left Harry’s presence. But not before blowing him a kiss.

I quickly rushed to the wardrobe department and got out of my heels and my dress, changing back into my normal clothes. I said the quickest goodbye in history to Gary, grabbed my bag and ran down the corridors until I reached the back doors of the studios. I saw my family standing by our car. My brothers looked bored, my mother looked worried and my father was checking his watch.

“Hey, hey, I’m so sorry I kept you waiting.” I apologised as I jogged over to them.

“What the ruddy hell took you so long?” My father asked, a little angry. Harry’s lips. I thought but I couldn’t say that, could I?

“The wardrobe department was so busy and it takes a long time for everyone to get changed. I’m so sorry. Can we go home now? I’m kind of tired.” I begged.

“Of course, sweetie. You were amazing tonight!” My mother cried and gave me a tight hug.

“Thanks, Mum.” I smiled, rubbing her back.

“But are you OK? Your cheeks are really pink.” She said when she let me go, her eyes surveying the colour of my face. That’s because Harry Styles, my idol, mentor and crush, kissed me four times, Mum.

“I ran all the way here so I’m hot.” I said. It was the truth; I had run from the wardrobe department. Luckily, my mother didn't ask anything else.

We all piled into the seven-seater car. I was in the back with my mother while Connor and Michael were in front of us and my father and Reece were at the very front. The car pulled out of its parking spot and joined the quiet traffic. I looked out of the car window, the streetlights passing us by swiftly. I could still remember his lips on mine, the sting of his kisses, the touch of his fingers on my cheeks. I wished for more.

At exactly 11:23pm, I received a text. I unlocked my phone and smiled when I saw it was from my mentor.

From Harry: Sweet dreams, angel x

I couldn’t resist sending him a reply.

To Harry: You too, Harry ;) x

I placed my phone back in my bag and stared out of the window again, smiling to myself like the teenage girl I was.

Oh, Harry, I’m definitely going to have sweet dreams tonight.

Happy 23rd Birthday, Niall! I love you so much and I hope you’re having a wonderful break! Another update (the longest one yet!) on one of my boys’ birthdays :P And we’ve reached 100 pages on Word! We’re into the live shows now, whoo! You weren’t expecting the kiss, were you? And sorry about the cliff-hanger :P

I'm actually writing the next chapter now, guys! I have no excuse for my lack of updating, family drama and a new relationship, it's taken up a lot of my time, I want this chapter out before the end of the week! xx
