~Luke's p.o.v~

I didn't hesitate to walk straight over to Calum and Drey's house after Kenzie had gone to bed. I didn't finish my conversation with him that night and I really needed his help. I was going to call him but realised that it would be better for me to talk to him in person since we hadn't seen each other in years. It was about time that I reunited with my old friend. I knocked on his door and surprisingly, Michael opened up.

"Luke?" He asked startled. "What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to Calum about something important." I urged him so I could get past the door.

"You can't right now Luke. This isn't a good time. Come back later will you?" He argued. I attempted multiple times to get past him but he put his arms across the door frame to block me from getting in.

"Michael, who is it?" I heard a voice say as Ashton joined him behind the door. "Luke?" He questioned completely surprised. Ashton budged Michael out of the way and engulfed me in a long hug. "C'mon Luke. Come inside." He smiled, guiding me into the house.

"But Ash, what about Cal and your 'friend'?" Michael whined.

"He needs all his friends around him to support him right now Michael and I told her to get lost." I didn't know what Ash meant by that. Has something happened to Calum? Who's the 'friend'? As we walked inside, I noticed the floor was completely covered in broken pieces of glass, photo frames on the wall were half broken or on the floor. Calum was sat in the corner with his head buried deep in his elbows. He looked up as he saw me and he looked a mess. His eyes were red, his face was blotchy and drenched in tears. Whatever problems I had could wait.

"Calum. What the actual heck have you been up to?" I said it as a joke with a slight chuckle but instantly regretted it as I felt Michael slap the back of my head. There was no answer but Calum glanced to the right of him. I followed his gaze and saw a scared and timid Drey walk out of the kitchen. Her face was bruised and her shirt was ripped.

"Drey what happened?" Ashton and I asked in unison. She looked at us puzzled but I could tell it was fake.

"What do you mean? Nothing's happened." She said casually as she sat on Calum's lap and kissed his lips softly. Michael, Ashton and I were all completely confused.

"Are you hurt?" Michael asked her seriously. "I thought you were upstairs because of what Cal did to you." She giggled in reply and played with Cal's hair.

"No I'm fine now. I forgive him." He smiled up at her and rested his hands on her hips. I frowned. something was definitely up. Then it hit me.

"Drey, come here." I said simply. She frowned and wandered over to where I was. I put my hands on her reddened cheeks and inspected her eyes. I could feel her shaking underneath my touch but her mouth was still positioned in the same straight line. I sighed and turned around to Mikey and Ash.

I beckoned them to follow me outside and they came, shutting the door behind them.
"What is it Luke?" Ashton questioned as Mikey shrugged.

"Drey's been taking drugs." I replied sadly.

"But she was fine when I was talking to her upstairs." Michael argued. Ashton's face was blank for a few minutes before he stormed back into the house.

"Ash, where are you going?" I shouted after him but there was no reply.

"Drey what the fuck have you been doing?" I heard him shout in her face. I ran into the room and saw Drey's eyes start to water.

"Ashton. I'm so sorry." She sobbed. He pulled her off Cal's lap and hugged her tight.

"Drey, being around Calum is dangerous while he's in this state trust me. You can stay with one of us for a while." He explained. She nodded but Cal stood up and pushed Ashton into the wall.

"No, you're not taking her anywhere! I love her." He screamed in at Ash. before he smacked him hard in the face. Michael and I tried to pull Cal off him but only succeeded after Calum surprised Ash with a few more punches and kicks in the gut.

"Calum! You've got a serious problem. Drey is coming with us and that's final. she's not safe with you!" I snapped. He hissed at me and tried to launch at me too before Michael held him back. "You guys go, I'll see you later." I said to Michael, Ashton and Drey. Ashton was holding onto Mikey for support because he could barely stand. I had to sort things out with Calum.

~Michael's p.o.v~

"Hey, do you think Luke will be okay?" I asked worriedly as we got back to Ash's apartment. He had a black eye and a cut lip. He could barely even walk so he just hobbled around. Drey was sat on the couch motionless, deep in thought. Why did she take drugs with Calum? I thought she was better than that.

"He'll be fine. They're best friends. Cal would never hurt his best friend." Drey said, slowly recovering and turning back into the none high Drey.

"Are you nuts? He hurt you and me. Obviously he's not gonna stop just because its Luke." Ashton groaned as he held the bag of frozen peas on his face.

"I'm just gonna assume he's okay because if not i'm gonna worry my freaking head off."
It was true. I was extremely worried about Luke. I know what Calum will do to him if he pisses him off in this state and I didn't want to see the ugly result.

A few hours went by and Drey and Ashton were asleep next to each other on the couch when Ashton's phone started ringing. He was too deep in sleep to open his eyes and check so it went straight to voicemail. But the caller tried again two more times. By the fourth time I'd finally had enough so I picked it up and answered it.

"Ashton wake up!" I shouted at him, poking him hard in the ribs. He woke startled and glared at me.

"What do you want?" He asked rubbing his eyes of sleep.

"Luke's in hospital. He had a big fight with Cal." I rushed as I sipped my converse on and ran out of the apartment, ashton slowly trailing behind. "C'mon!"

"I'm coming jeez." He groaned as we got into the car and sped to the hospital.
