~Ashton's p.o.v~

I sat behind my desk with my face buried in my hands. I couldn't believe Drey and Calum. Cal had just given me what he thought was good news but its not good to anyone but the two love bugs. Mikey still hadn't forgiven Cal or Drey so I didn't know how he would react to the news. They were getting married? It all happened so sudden. They hadn't mentioned marriage in the eight years they've been together once.

Calum's got to think about Joseph in all of this. Its his auntie and His father getting married. There's something wrong about that. I wonder if Joseph knows about it already or if they still had to tell him, which I'm sure would upset him more than anything.

I sighed and started to look through the music I had been sent to consider them to be added to my record label. I pressed play on a slightly rocky grungy kind of song with a female singer. I listened carefully before hearing a quiet tap on my office door. Much to my surprise, It was Joseph.
He peeked his head around the door shyly before entering the room completely and shutting the door behind him. "Hey uncle Ash." He greeted, extremely quietly.

"Joseph, what are you doing here? Where's your dad?" My work was about twenty miles from where Calum lived so I had no idea how he got here.

"My dad's a dick." He replied, covering his mouth just after it slipped out like he was expecting me to be angry at him for cussing but I wasn't.

"Glad you finally realised." I chuckled. Joseph took at seat in the plastic chair in front of my desk. "Are you angry at him for asking Drey to marry him?" He nodded his head in reply to my question. I wasn't surprised.. It must really hurt the kid.

"I dont wanna be with them anymore. I wanna leave." He looked at me with sad brown eyes. In that moment, it reminded me of when I got to the hospital on the day of his birth and his mom's death. When Calum looked at me with tear stained eyes. They had the same pained expression.

"How about you come stay with me for a while until you get things between you and your dad sorted out? Your dad loves you Joseph. Its just been hard for him to show any kind of love since your mom." I said honestly, walking around to the other side of my desk and patting Joseph's back supportively.

"He has no problem giving all his love to that slut." He hissed. I shook my head at him and grabbed my bag, packing up all my papers.

"C'mon Joseph. We'll go back to mine and watch movies until we die." I laughed. He smiled slightly, gulping and standing up, following me out of the door. Of course I had to tell Calum about Jo being here. I didn't want him to worry. I texted him just before we got in my car.

We pulled up in the parking lot outside my apartment and got out, walking up to the tenth floor. We sat on the couch and watched a few episodes of family guy right before my door burst open and Calum barged in. I stood up off the couch in alarm but relaxed when I noticed who it was.

"Joseph, we're gonna have to talk about this sooner or later!" Calum shouted with a frustrated snarl on his face. I couldn't believe he was talking to his own son like this! Joseph hadn't even done anything wrong. "Get up!" He screamed before Joseph jumped off the couch and a single tear dripped down his cheek.

"Who the hell do you think you're talking to?" I shouted back at him, placing a hand on Joseph's shoulder and smiling at him when he looked up. "He's your son Calum. Not a toy that you can pick when you want to have it! I knew Michael was right before. you shouldn't have been allowed to keep him. He would've been safer in Mikey's care and I bet he would have loved it more as well!" Calum's face fell as I ranted at him. His snarl turned into a straight line across his lips as he let go of Joseph's wrist.

"You're right Ash. I'm the worst dad ever. I'll drop his stuff of tomorrow and you can take him to Mikey." He said glumly and walked out.

"Uncle Ashton, who's Mikey?" Joseph asked me with slight fear in his voice from what had just happened.

"Someone who you'll be safe with."

~Joseph's p.o.v~

I didn't know what Ash meant by that. But I had to trust him. He was the only one I had left who I could trust. The next morning, my dad and the wicked witch of the west dropped off my stuff. Uncle Ashton and I got into his car and stopped at a small diner for some breakfast before we had to drive 2 hours to this so called 'Mikey' person.

"So, I'll never get to see my friends again?" I asked Ashton as I bit into my waffle. I must admit, I was scared that I would never get to see Snowy, Taylor or kenzie again. I'd miss them at school.

"No, you'll still get to see them but not as much as you want to. About once a month?" My face hopeful face fell as he ended his sentence. I suppose I still had skype so I could talk to Snowy at least.

When we'd finished, we got back in the car and started the agonizing drive.
"Wanna pick some music?" I nodded at Ashton's question and picked out a Sleeping with sirens album. We both sang along all the way. Suddenly, we pulled up outside a large house and Ashton turned the engine off.

He knocked on the front door to the house and a thirty something year old guy with red hair answered. "Hey Joseph, you don't remember me but I remember you. i looked after you for a few years whilst your dad was still recovering from the car crash. I'm Michael."

Hope you like this chapter! Also, this is a little random but does anybody know in the song Lost in reality by 5SOS, who is the Hailey that they're singing about? It might just be a random name but still.... and also who thinks that Over and Out sounds a little like a paramore or a we are the in crowd song?
