Chapter 3

Walking into Myer's Sports & More was like walking into an alien world. I'm really glad that Finn agreed to help me, otherwise I wouldn't have known where to start. I place Iso in the cart's seat and follow Finn.

"Wow, this an athlete's dream store." I state looking around at all the equipment, clothes, and accessories.
"It's the biggest sports store here in El Paso." Finn informs me as he checks out the newest Fitbit displayed at the front.

We walk further into the store to the golf department. All the items look familiar as I've seen Niall use them but I don't know what to call them. Iso and I stand back as Finn grabs a club on display, aligns it to a pretend golf ball, and swings. Iso let's out a small giggle drawing Finn's attention.

"You liked that swing, princess?" he asks bending a little to be at her level. She giggles again and grabs his nose which makes Finn playfully scrunch it.
"What a lovely family!" I hear someone say and turn to see an old couple approaching us. Before I could say anything, the old lady goes to Isobel and says, "You look just like your handsome dad!" she turns to Finn who is smiling at her.
"Oh, no he's.." I start but am interrupted by Finn.
"She does doesn't she?!" he agrees and I find it a bit awkward that he went along with it. I don't say anything and just let it go. It must get boring having to explain the twin thing.

Once the couple said their goodbyes, Finn continued to look around and explaining to me what each thing was. He said it would be best to engrave something on only one club instead of all of them. The engraving will become damaged from use over time so it's best to do it on one he won't use but can carry around.

"This. This right here are the best clubs on the market. I know Niall needs an upgrade, so these would be perfect." he says grabbing one and running it along his palm.
"Well, if you say so. I honestly can't tell the difference between any of these sets." I laugh at my clueless self and notice Finn smiling at me.

I hadn't heard from Niall all day but I knew he'd be busy. In turn, this was a good thing as I had enough time to hide all the stuff I had bought him. I thanked Finn for helping me out today and asked if he wanted to stay and eat a late lunch. He said he couldn't stay and maybe he can drop by another time.

Even though Finn was very close to his brother, he rarely visited our home. If they hung out, they'd meet up at a sport's bar to watch the game, or at the country club to play golf, but hardly ever at our house. This made a me a bit bummed because I've known Finn as long as I know Niall and we used to be good friends up until we graduated. Now, he's rather distant.

Notes

@Louis_bae
I'm glad someone would still be interested! I feel so bad for abandoning this story. I had such amazing plans for it, too. :( I'll keep in mind in the next couple of days and I may just post the next chapter. (which is halfway done)

Please continue this! :)
