"That's not so nice to say..."

"Calum."
"Lana."
"Get out of the way."
"No."
"But-"
"Charlie, could you please go for a second? I gotta tell her something." He looks at Charlie for a brief moment and that's all she needs to leave.
In my mind, I curse her for leaving me and look at Calum.
"Go away." I say while I try to push him out of the way.
"No."
I sigh and he grabs my hand. He takes me with him into the janitors closet.
"What are you? 14?" I sigh.
He ignores me and pushes me against the table. He kisses me fiercely and holds his hands on my waist. I wanted to push him away but he's too strong.
"Damn, I missed you." He whispers between the kisses.
"I wasn't even gone for a week."
"Too long."
"Besides, you were pretty busy with that other girl." I say finally getting the strength to push him off me.
"Calum, I'm not your fucking toy. Now, go back to your little slut and leave me alone."
I walk out and leave him there. I'm done with him. For sure, forever.


I walk to my class and sit next to Charlie.
"What happened?" She asks.
"Calum pushed me into the janitors closet and kissed me."
"L, you know you can't-."
"I pushed him away and walked out."
"Oh..."
"Who the hell does he think he is? I'm not his fucking toy who he can play with whenever he wants! I'm so done with him."
"Lana.."
"No."
"I can see that you're-"
"I don't care what you can see. Now shut the fuck up and focus on the teacher."
She looks at me before returning her attention to the teacher. I immediately regret snapping at her like that. I sigh and try focus on the lesson, but my thoughts wander to something else.


When school's out I'm getting away as fast as I can. Tho, that doesn't work because Calum stands in my way.
"You could get yourself killed this way! Do you even realise that?!" I snap before walking around him.
He turns around and pushes my back to his chest.
"I don't care." He whispers in my ear and for some reason, it turns me on.
"Lana, let me explain the girl." There's a change in his voice. It got more intimidated and for a second, I am.
"No. Let me go."
"No."
"I'm not gonna listen to your fucking excuses."
"Well, I tried to do it nice."
He holds up a knife against my throat. I look around me but see no one.
"If someone sees this..." I warn.
"No one is here. Now, you're gonna follow me and you're gonna listen and do what I say, okay?"
"No. Now let me go and I won't blow your head off."
"How are you gonna do that princess?"
He holds up my gun and I feel my pants. It isn't there. I try to reach for it but he holds it up.
"Nononono, first you gonna listen to me, then I'll maybe hand back your gun." He says in a tone a teacher would use to a child.
I sigh and nod my head. He smirks and point at his car.
"After you."
I get into the passenger seat and he drives away.
"Uhh, Calum?" I ask while I look around me. I don't know this neighbourhood.
"Lana, I'm not gonna kill you. Yet."
I look at him before I turn my attention to the window.

"Why are you doing this?" I ask after a while.
"What?" He replies and looks at me for a brief moment.
"Explaining that girl. Why would you even bother? You're risking your life only to explain me something."
"Now you see how much you mean to me."
I look at him in confusion.
"You said that I'm risking my life only to explain you something. Then you must be pretty important to me." He shrugs.
"Never thought of it that way."
"Now you do."
I realise that he completely ignored my question, but I leave it.


"Again a forest?" I ask while I get out.
"This one is save. I promise." He holds out his hand.
"Don't promise, you know you can't because you don't know where Dean is."
He sighs. Without even thinking about it I grab his hand and we walk into the forest.


He stops when he thinks we're far enough.
"Sit." He orders.
"No." I still don't like getting orders, especially not from him.
"Lana.." He warns.
"No."
He points my own gun at me.
"Don't make me shoot you." He says.
"Oo, now I'm scared." I lifts my hands a little and wave them.
I see that he's trying to be serious, but wants to laugh too.
"Lana, I'm serious." He lets out a chuckle.
"How am I supposed to take you serious when you're laughing?"
"Just sit down." He pushes me onto the ground.
Then I realise what I'm doing.
"You know Calum? I don't want or need your explanation." I grab my gun out of his hands and walk away.
"Lana." He chuckles, still thinking this is a joke.
"Bye Calum."
"Lana?"
I ignore him and walk further.
"Lana!" I hear him yell after me and I begin to run.


I run all the way back to my house and when I'm there it's 6p.m. Great.
I open the door and hear people coming my way.
"Lana, where the hell were you?!" I hear Dean yell.
"Lana, are you alright?" I hear Emily ask.
I ignore them all and walk to my room.
I lock my door and lay on my bed. For hours I don't hear anything except my music blasting through my headphones.


Suddenly I hear a knock and see that my phone is dead. I sigh.
"Busy!" I say while I rub the sleep out of my eyes.
"Lana?" I hear from the other side.
I sigh and walk to the door. I open it and see Charlie standing. She's in her pyjama. I let her in and she walks to my bed.
"I'm sorry for waking you, I couldn't sleep." She whispers.
"Don't mind. You may stay with me." I smile.
She is a year younger than me, but a lot more grown up. I don't know how we came in the same class. Now I think about it, it's actually pretty strange.

We lay down on my bed when she whispers.
"What happened this afternoon?"
"Nothing."
"Lana."
I sigh.
"On my way home I ran into Calum. I tried to walk past him but he held a knife against my throat and took my gun. He took me to a forest and tried to explain the girl. I took my gun back when I saw the chance, then I walked away."
"Lana, why didn't you listen?"
"We're going to take them down. If I'm mad at him, I won't feel the regret."
