When something becomes something more

Lucy's POV

I woke up by a loud and chattering noise from the airplane's speaker. "Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. We’re currently at an altitude of 17,000 feet and should reach our destination in about 15 minutes. Please make sure to buckle up your seatbelt and fasten the table before you. Once again we thank you for choosing to fly with us today and we hope you have enjoyed your flight". I felt my heart raise as the airplane's motor started reacting to the pilot's landing routine. Finally. Finally I would be seeing my 4 best friends again. It had been too long, almost 3 months since I've seen the boys. Due to their busy schedule, performances and travelling and my school - we barely got to see each other. Even though I'd facetime and talk to all of the boys almost every day, it wasn't the same. I missed them all so much. But luckily, because my school being done for this semester and the boys's break, I could finally fly out to London to visit them. I'd been looking forward this trip for ages now. Niall had promised me that their security guard Dave, would wait for me in the airport and then take to the boys who waited outside in a car. I couldn't wait. I looked up from my seat and saw the flight attendants making sure that everyone had followed instructions and then finding their own seat. The airplane was finally landing.

As soon as I got my suitcase, I began my way to the welcoming area. And just like Niall had told me, Dave waited for me. "You ready to leave?" he asked me. "More than ready!" I answered with a wide smile on my face. I didn't even make it properly out of the building , before the car-door opened and four screaming boys ran towards me. "LUCYYYYY!" Niall yelled as he took me into a tight embrace. "Hey hey hey - mate! Let her go" "Yeah - we all want to hug Luce" - I recognized Liam and Louis thick accents. I let go of Niall and was quickly taken into another big hug from Liam and Louis. When the boys were done with their hugs and cheek-kisses and i was let go, i realised that I was missing one particular embrace that I had been longing for just a bit more than the others. But then I felt Harry muscular arms around me, and my heart began beating faster. This was the, by now, common reaction I got when Harry was next to me. I know - it's wrong. He's one of my best friends and I should not be feeling like this - but i do. But deep down I know it would never work - so of course I haven't told Harry or the other boys. I've tried hide my feelings, and if I have to say it myself: I'm pretty good at that. The only one who knows is my other best friend Bex. "God i missed you Luce!"Harry spoke and I felt my heart burst. I turned around in his arms and buried my face in his chest while he tightened his embrace around my waist. "Okay okay lovebirds - shall we get in the car now. eh?" Louis spoke, and I think we both realised that we had been standing in this position in quite some time. We quickly got out of our hug and went into the car with the rest of the boys. As the car started driving - the boys started chattering about everything under the sun. As I looked out of the window I saw the magnificent city. Even though I lived in the English town York, I was barely never in London even though I loved it here. I looked into Harry's green emerald eyes, as I felt a hand on my knee. "I really have missed you Luce" Harry smiled. I couldn't do nothing else than smiling back and say: "I missed you too - so much". And I really had.
