The Spring Semester [On Hold Indefinitely]

It seems that evey morning I find myself darting out the door as soon as French class is dimissed. I looked forward to getting to the next class. Yes, Harry was the reason. Who doesn't love having a hot classmate to crush on? Not only that, but he was smart and caring. The whole package.

Today when I walked in to class, I noticed Lauren was sitting in Harry's seat. He wasn't there yet so I make my way to my usual desk all while wondering why she's sitting there.
"Hey!" she greets me as I plop down on my seat.
"Hey..." Great, now will you tell me why the hell you're here?
"I wanted to ask you something." she says leaning in close as if she didn't want anyone to hear. "Are you and Harry going out or anything like that?" I was taken aback by this question, honestly.
"No... Why?"
"Oh that's great! Well, I just assumed because you always sit together and I've seen you go to lunch at the Bagel Brother's." Do people really notice these types of things?
"Oh, well, no. Are you interested in him or something?" Please say no!
"Yeah actually. He's so hot."

All I could think about was how he was way more than just "hot". He was intelligent, honest, sweet, interesting, loyal, and the list could go on and on! As I'm thinking of all the things Harry is besides hot, his voice penetrates my ears as he greets us. Just then Lauren excuses herself to her seat giving him a stupid sexy look. Harry offers she stay in his but she refuses. She better have.

The rest of the class went by too slowly. For once I wanted to get out of there because I felt a pang of jealousy. I saw him first! I knew I'd never get anything out of it, though. He has become a friend of mine so I knew we would be just friends.

It wasn't a surprise when Harry catches up to me after class to ask if I wanted to grab lunch. I immediately refused but can you guess who was within listening distance and offered to go instead? Yeah, Lauren. Of course Harry was a complete gentleman and took up her offer. I glared as they walked away together. Harry turned his head to peek at me and shrugged.

Screw lunch, I'll starve my feelings today. I go straight to my dorm room and sulk on the love seat by the door.
"You look blue today..." Jules states, laying in her bed reading a book. I'm sure she had to read this book for a class. You wouldn't catch Jules reading for fun. Ever.
"Yeah..." I sigh.
"Boy problems?" she asks closing her book and sitting up.
"I guess so..." I sigh again.
"Spill it."
"Well, there's this guy in my class who is pretty much perfect. We're only friends, so I have no right but this other girl has her eye on him..."
"Just friends? Is this guy the reason why you don't come here for lunch?"
"Yes. He typically wants to go to lunch with me." at this she raises her eyebrows and turns down the corners of her mouth while nodding. "What?" I ask.
"Oh, sweet Dani. He likes you don't you see?!" What in the world?
"Then why is he out to lunch with her?"
"Did he invite her?"
"No, she invited herself when I turned him down." Big mistake by the way. I need to control my jealousy.
"Dani, open your eyes. He likes you, no doubt." I wish.
No way can Mr. British find someone like me attractive.

Notes

Mostly filler today. I will be updating every Monday, occasionally in between but mostly Mondays. I am trying to think of the chapters when they're on the trip. (which isn't for a few more.) I am researching Mexico City to get things correctly as far as tourist attractions and where the class will be staying. :) Thank you for all the votes and subs even though it is just starting out!
