Harry's POV.

I was really glad that Dani accepted to come to lunch with me. I'm not too much into Mexican food but I know she loves it. I heard great things about this place and wanted to come with her to try it out.
I was surprised when she suddenly blurted out, "Harry, someone told Lauren I spent the night at your apartment."
"Really?" I hope she doesn't think I did it. Although the only other person who knows is Scott, but he doesn't know Lauren. At least not that I know of.
"Yes. She thinks we, uh, you know, slept together." she whispers the last part and I kind of feel like snickering.
"Oh..." is all I manage to say. My mind wanders back to the day of the party and how much I desired to be with Daniella. I still remember her taste and her hand in my hair pulling me close.
"Yeah how dumb, huh? Anyway, how do you feel about her?" Her question really caught me off guard. Why was she interested in what I felt for Lauren?
"Um, well, she seems nice." I'm not sure how I should answer her question. Lauren was a beautiful girl but I really only had eyes for Daniella.
"Harry, do you like her? She likes you. I think you would make a cute couple." she takes a big sigh and looks down at her drink. Daniella is pretty much setting me up with another girl when I'm dying to be with her. I could feel my heart breaking.
"You.. You WANT me to give Lauren a chance?" I ask as if what she said wasn't as clear as day.
"Yes. Harry, you're my friend and I know she really likes you. She's so gorgeous, she's a great catch." If only she knew how her own beauty couldn't compare to Lauren's.

At that moment our tacos arrived. They looked incredibly delicious, smoke still coming from in between the tortillas. I see Dani take a big spoonful of the red salsa and drop it on to her taco. She takes a big bite and some of the salsa runs down her chin. I couldn't help but laugh as I take my napkin and wipe her chin. She blushes a little at my actions.

As we sit there eating, I wonder what goes on in her head. She showed me she feels something for me, too, when she was drunk. Now she wants me to give Lauren a chance? Why is she doing this? Either way, she makes it clear we're nothing but friends. At this point I rather keep her friendship. These feelings for her may just have to remain platonic. I can love her in silence as long as I can keep seeing her smile every day.

When we're done eating I ask for the check. When the waiter brings it to the table, we both reach for it.
"I'll take it." I state, hoping Dani doesn't protest. Yet again, it's Dani.. Of course she will protest.
"What? No, I'll take it." she begins to slide it towards her, a sweet smile across her face.
"Please." I beg her, and she narrows her eyes at me letting go of the check.
"Ok, but I'm paying next time." she crosses her arms and smiles when I smile.
"Do you want to go to my flat and watch a movie? Scott has class all day until 7." I ask as I begin to get out of the booth and Dani follows.
"Yeah that sounds fun. Jules is probably doing homework anyway. I hate interrupting her." I couldn't help but notice her face light up when she answers.

Soon we're outside and notice the sky has gotten dark and the temperature has dropped despite it being only 2 in the afternoon. Dani starts to rub her hands up and down her arms signaling that she's cold. I quickly take my jacket off and drape it over her shoulders.
"Thanks. We should get going, looks like it's going to rain." She says as she cuddles into my jacket. She looked so good in it.

Notes

I have written 2 more chapters for this story but this was just filler. I think I'll start it up again, the funk is gone. :) Next chapter is one of my favs! So, do ya'll think Harry should give Lauren a chance?
