The next morning I wake up to the loveliest site imaginable. At some point during the night Harry had completely undressed and was now covered in only a sheet.
I on the other hand am wrapped in Harry’s comforter still in all of my clothing. I roll over kissing Harry gently on the cheek.

“Harry… why are you naked?” I whisper in his ear, smelling his axe body wash.

I lie my head on his chest for a few moments to hear his heart beating rapidly. I wait a few more minutes before getting up and going back to Gemma’s room. I grab some clothes, my make-up bag, toothbrush and comb then head down the hall to the bathroom. I start the shower, getting it to the right temperature before going to lock the door…Which I panic because there isn’t one. I take my chances anyway and climb into the shower.

“You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you” I sing along to the radio, while washing my hair.

A new song came on as I started to wash my face. That’s when I heard the bathroom door open. I freeze, quickly rinsing off my face.

“Emerson, dear?” I hear Anne say

“Uh yeah it’s me” I breathe a sigh of relief

“When you’re done love there is some breakfast down stairs.”

“Oh, ok I’ll be down soon” I tell her.

Just as I was about to get out of the shower I hear the door open again. I listen for a moment and don’t hear anything but the door shut again. That is until I hear the toilet seat slam open. At this point I know it’s Harry so I stick my arm out grabbing the hanging towel and wrap it around myself. I make a bold move and fling the curtain back.

“Don’t you knock” I act offended.

“Oi, Jesus Christ you nearly gave me a heart attack” Harry jumps.

I laugh, grab my clothes and leave the bathroom to go back to my room. Once I’m dressed and my hair is put in a messy bun I go downstairs. I find Anne in the kitchen making chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, fresh fruit and toast.

“This looks amazing” I tell her.

“Thank you, your shower ok?” she asks

I tell her about the small run in with Harry in the bathroom.

“Oh that boy will never learn” she says

Just then Harry comes into the kitchen. Anne and I share a laugh as he takes a seat by me at the table.

“What?” he says genuinely confused.

“Nothing” I shake my head giggling.

After we finish breakfast, Harry and I grab our backpacks and go to school. I find it kind of odd that Louis and Dominick aren’t in school again today.

“Where are the dumbasses at?” I ask Tessa

“Dom and Lou? Nobody’s seen them in Two days” she says

“They’re with your parents” Jace says walking by.

I leave Tessa and Niall standing by my locker and run after Jace. Once I catch up to him I grab his arm, spinning him around.

“What did you say?” I look him in the eyes sternly.

“Dom and Lou, they are with your parents in Mexico” he tells me

“Look I’ll tell you later” he says handing me a paper with his number on it.

Jace walks away quickly as Niall and Tessa walk up to me.

“What was that about?” Niall asks

“Your guess is as good as mine” I say

AFTER SCHOOL HARRY’S HOUSE:

“Yeah, he said Dominick and Louis are in Mexico with my parents.” I explain to Harry about my encounter with Jace earlier.

“Why are they with your parents?”

“I don’t know but, Jace does. He gave me his number, so I say we call him and see what he knows.”

Harry and I call Jace and he comes over to the house. Jace tells me that I am right to think that I am not adopted. He also said that my parents, Lou and Dom are trying to sell cocain in Mexico to try to come up with money for a debt that they owe to you guessed it.. Vladmir Romanov. Fucking peachy right? Well that’s not all. Jace said that if the debt isn’t paid that Romanov will come to get me as collateral.

“As if my life wasn’t fucked up enough” I say hot tears escaping my eyes.

“Listen Emerson you have to watch your back, do not trust Officer Payne either he’s in on it. If I was you I would run away as far as I could get.” He tells me

“Em, love you’ll be alright. I’ll protect you” Harry hugs me tightly.

I look at him as he looks at me. It’s like we’re reading each other’s mind. I nod at him and show Jace to the door. When back in Harry’s room we get on the computer and pull up the missing person’s website.

“Are you sure about this?” Harrys asks

“Yeah, click it” I tell him
