Chapter 64
Bridget's POV:
"Shh it's ok baby girl. Shh." I have India safely in my arms as she cries as I walk down this rad and look for help. My surroundings are all hazy and I struggle to see in front of me but I keep pushing on.
I need to find help, mum and dad are in a bad way but I couldn't just leave them there I need to get help. I tired my phone of course there is no reception.
"Come on honey." I try to cradle India trying my best to clam her down, but I'm not all that calm myself.
I keep walking and her cries slowly come down but still evident.
Then I see a car, I increase my walking pace and thank god exists they stop. The lady gets out of the car.
"Oh my god are you two ok." I shake my head and still hold India tightly. "NO please you have to help me, my parents there hurt please" I cry.
"Ok come, get in" She helps India and I in. I do my best to instruct her where the car is and we get there.
We get out of the car and I'm still holding India. "Ok calm down." She lightly rubs my back. "What's your name"
"Br--i---dddd--gggg-eee-ttt" I stutter, "ok Bridget you need to stay calm ok. I'm a nurse." A little relief washes over me.
"Now go in the car, and call the ambulance my phone is in there." I nod and head back to her car. India then starts to cry heavily again. "Shhh please baby girl, were going to be ok soon."
I find her phone and call the ambulance. I tell them where we are and they will send someone right away.
I the dial Harry's number but there is no answer. I look through the window and see the lady working on my parents. I get out of the car leaving India in the back seat.
"Please you have to help them." I beg. "Bridget I need you to go back inside please." She says still working on my parents I nod and go to the back seat. I take my jacket off and wrap it around India. I pick her up and cradle her. "Shh baby, shhh" I coo in her ear.
"PLEASE YOU NEED TO HELP THEM. PLEASE" I yell as my parents get wheeled in the hospital I know there in bad shape.
"I'm sorry I need to take her" The nurse says grabbing India. "No please not my baby. Please" I say. "I will bring her to you straight away." I nod and let her go but before I kiss her cheek. "I'll see you soon baby."
"BRIDGET" I see harry and he hugs me. I cry on his shoulder.
"What happened" He asks me I shake my head not being able to talk about it anymore.
"Let's sit you down" He grabs my waist and we take a seat. "Where's India"
"The nurse took her" I wipe my hands on my jeans.
"Has anyone checked you out" He looks to the cut on the side of my head. "No i'm fine" I stand up and cross my arms. "I just need them to be ok" I cry again. Harry stands. "Come here." He hugs me.
Twenty minutes later I sit here with my head on Harry's shoulder. "Told you I'd bring her back." the nurse comes with India and Harry and I are quick on our feet. "You were quite a hero out there, did a good job keeping her warm" The nurse smiles.
"She's all good just needs mummy and daddy." Harry takes her and cuddles her like it's the last time.
"Hey baby" harry gives me India. "Your amazing" He kisses the side of my head.
"Bridget oh my god your ok" El and Sophia come in with the rest of the boys.
"Mrs. Riley" My head shoots up. I stand up with Harry and give India to Sophia. I take Harry's hand.
"Umm ok and how about mum?" I wipe some tears with my sleeve. The doctor remains silent.
"I am so sorry. We did all we could do." I fall to the ground crying like I've never cried before.
"Hey, hey," Harry slouches down and tries to pick me up, but I'm to weak and numb to acknowledge it.
So he picks me up bridal style. "It's ok baby I've got you." I don't register anything he says. I just want to wake up from this bad dream.
