"BRIDGET COME ON" We run as I am a little behind me.
I see him jump over the fence and I try as well, as one leg goes over the fence the other one is dangling on the other side. I then see Justin grab it.

"BRIDGET" Harry helps me over. Now both over the fence and we run again.


"HERE" He yells out and we hide behind a wall. We peek out and see Justin and his mates, we try and not to be seen as we slouch down on the wall.

"It was close" Harry says, we both sit with our knees to our chest. "Oh no Bridget." He traces his finer around my neck which makes me tingly a little bit. "You hurt yourself".
I touch and see a little blood. "It's no big deal." I say.

"It must of been when I pulled you over the fence." He keeps tracing my neck. I wince a bit in pain. "Bridget I'm sorry"
"It's fine really." I look at him, "Promise me you will get it checked out".

"Yea I'll get my dad to check it out" I sarcastically reply. "I mean it" I feel him breathe down my neck, we both now look in each other's eyes. My breathing increases rapidly how can I feel this towards Harry?

"Come on let's go" He takes my hand and we make our way back to the car.



"Your face was priceless when we made a run for it" I laugh.
"Yea well you didn't look so bad hanging off that fence" We both laugh.
"So what do you wan--------"

"Oh no" We get to the car and it has graffiti all over it.


"Mum and Dec are going to kill me." He yells.
"It's ok we can just say we found it like that." I say calmly.
"Just do me a favour and don't help me" He says
"How is this my fault?" I ask him

"If you didn't throw the drink none of this would have happened" He says

"Yea well you wanted to race." I yell back

"What are you even trying to prove fighting off guys anyway" He throws his hands in the air.

"That I have some back bone, and I won't run away like a little------"

He interrupts me.

"Like a little girl. Because I don't if you haven't noticed YOU ARE A GIRL" He yells loud and I take a few steps back at him, not letting my emotions show.

He opens the door and gets my bag out. "You've had your fun for the day. " He throws my bag in my hands.

I walk down the street still can't believe how he treated me, who does he think he is. I walk and spot him, well of course he had a car to get here. I am so not letting this go.

"HEY YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT." I yell as I walk up to him.

"No probably not." He is trying to clean his car.

"Is that your attempt to an apology." I say and finally turns around and sees my face. What I might be a tough girl act and all but I am human and I do cry when things or people upset me.

"Look I really sorry." He apologises. I reach in my pocket and get some money out.
"Here" I had it to him, "hopefully it can pay for some of your damage. I'm sorry again" I say and walk away.

"Morning loser" Parker comes in. I finish my glass of water and put it in the sink.
"I'll see ya later loser" I yell out and walk down my driveway I see the newspaper and pick it up.

"hey" I bring my head up from the newspaper headline. "I don't have anymore money yet." I say to Harry as he walks up.
"Really that's what you think of me?" He questions but I don't say anything.
"i'm apologising again" He says

Before I have the chance to speak we hear a car speeding into our street.

"What are you doing here Justin?" I ask him.
"We want a re run, ten am tomorrow down Dinah Parade." He challenges, Harry looks at me.
"Your on." Harry agrees.

Justin then speeds off. "Harry what are you doing, your insane" He takes my hand and puts my money from yesterday and walks away.



The rest of the day I don't do much I contemplate to call Harry or not I mean he was right I am in this mess because of him, what if something bad happens tomorrow.

I am walking to to Perrie's house we us girls are having a nice Saturday night. She lives with her foster parents, her mum is also one of our teachers at school.

"hey love" She hugs and lets me in,

"Bridget you seem distracted." El notices. So I tell my best friends about what has been happening.
"I knew it sexual tension" Perrie sounds proud. "No it's not like that, well not really?" I bite my nail
"Well then how is it?" Sophia says.

" I don't know but when I'm with him it's like he test me and I test him in some weird way." I confess. "With him I have fun" I smile.

"Oh god I'm such a girl" I cover my face with my hands. I change the subject

"El what's happening with Louis?" I ask her

"Well I don't know, he hasn't asked me out yet, sounds crazy but I thought that's we were heading"

"I'm gonna kill him." I whisper

"Ok no more boy talk" Sophia announces easy for her and Perrie they are both in stable relationships.

It is Sunday morning I look at my clock 9.00am. I get out of bed and shower quickly.

I take my phone off the charger and open a blank text.

To Harry:
I'll be over in five, you need your co driver with you!


I have an apple for breakfast, and brush my teeth and see mum "Where you going so early on a Sunday?"

"Oh I'm going to the Library, need a few books to study" I lie, what is with me I never lie especially to my parents.

"Ok have fun" She says leaving me guilty.

I knock on his door and he comes out seconds later.

"Thanks for coming" He smiles. "No worries" I smile

"Sorry about the bag, told my rents I was studying." I tell him

"You know you don't have to do this" He says. "No I want to" I smile

"Cool lets go"


We pull up at the racing spot and see Justin in his car. He starts to rev up his car trying to scare us. "Mate I've heard law moweers with more grunt." Harry says.
"You chickens ready?" Justin teases, "When your ready" Harry signals



"WHOOOOO" Harry and I yell out as we are beating Justin I turn back and see he is miles away. "COME ON BABY" Harry taps above the dashboard.

But then a sound, we glance at each other. "Harry you need to pull over" I say
"But we are winning"

"Harry now" Thank god he does. He pulls over and we stop and see the police car driving straight ahead, maybe they only want Justin.



"Now what" harry says.
"Let;s just go" I say and he starts the car and drive off.


We pull up outside the complex and he parks the car.
"My parents would freak if they knew." I say as we walk.

"yea it would be a double funeral." Harry says.

"Hm a modern day Romeo and Juliet" I tease and he smirks .

"Ok well I better go to the library and get some books, to make my cover story more convincing." I say.

"Ok cool, thanks again. I'll call you later" He smiles and I walk one way but not before I look over my shoulder and glance at him, he is doing the same.






I pull up at my front door and grab some books I ended up getting from my bag and hold them. I walk in the door and mum is there

"Hey" She says.

"Hi there" I pretend to balance the books.

"All good at the library." She says, I feel beyond guilty.

"Yea, all good" I start to walk to my room. "Hang on, can you please help me in the kitchen." She says "Uh can't it wait, I have more study" I lie again.

"This won't take long" She says. I put my stuff down and follow her into the kitchen.

I walk in and decide to lighten the mood.

I take a seat slowly. "Sorry we don't have doughnut's in here" and here Harry's giggle.

"BRIDEGT RILEY YOU BETTER WATCH YOURSELF" Dad yells out.

So I sit here my dining room table. Mum, Dad, me, Harry, his mum and two police officers.



"So what has Harry been charged with?" I ask the police officer.

"Speeding, reckless endangerment and driving without a licence." He replies surprisingly kindly.

'I though you guys went after Justin" I ask.

"We did, he got caught. Did you not think we would not take the number plates down." Another officer says.

"Well Justin started all of this" I argue our case.

"So you just went along with illegal street racing" Mum steps in. I now keep quiet.



"Your on thin ice aren't you buddy" The officer says to Harry.

"Guess so." He whippers.

"Whatever this is between you two. It's over your both ban from seeing each other." Dad looks at Harry and I.

"That's fine by me" Harry's mum says and Harry and I look at each other. "Harry you need to realise that with this on your record now , it is a case enough to end you up in Juvenile detention" The officer says.

"We will be in touch." An officer says and dad walks them out.

"Ban means, no talking, no texting nothing. Understand" Mum says.

"Well what about at school, we see each other there." My snarky self says.

"Don't play smart with me young lady" Mum angrily says.



Harry's POV:

"Mum I said I'm sorry." I try for the millionth time at home.

"Yea I've heard that before, but you never ever mean it."

"Mum please I'm sorry." I plea

"I don't wanna hear it" She packs her handbag. "I'm going to work" She slams the front door.

The only thing I am thinking about is Bridget. She isn't like this or deserved to get involved. I know she wanted to be but the only reason I said yes is because I want to spend more time with her.

I pull out my phone and I don't care what our parents say I want to keep seeing her, like she said before 'modern Romeo and Juliet'

To Bridget:
Don't worry we can still see each other

I wait for a reply.


My face lights up when I see a message.



From Bridget:
No we can't. Bye!
