Love is an Act of War

Calum's POV

"Where're you going?" Adria asks.

"Um, just on a walk." I shrug. She nods and sits on the couch. I walk outside, all the way to where Luke lives. I'm probably not thinking this through correctly. I don't care. I knock on the door, only to be answered by the blond traitor himself. I don't care. I punch him directly in the face. He stumbles back a little bit.

Luke's POV

"God damn it." I groan, "What was that for?" He knows.

"I'm pretty sure you know." He glares.

I sigh, "Look, Calum, please let me explai-"

"No." He says strongly, "Before Adria was shot, and you guys were leaving- What the FUCK did you think you were going to be to her? Nothing. Nothing, Luke. I'M her boyfriend. Not you. Running away with her won't change that." He huffs, stuffing his hand in his pockets.

Now that he brings it up... What DID I think was going to happen? "I know." I mumble.

"Then WHY the FUCK would you KISS HER?!" He yells.

I can hardly think straight- "Because I'm in love with her you idiot!" I scream. His eyes widen.

"Excuse me?" He asks. Uh oh.

"Nothing, forget about it."

"Uh- No, I think you just said you're IN LOVE with Adria." He says, his face turning red. I just stare at the ground. "You stay the fuck away from her, okay?" He snaps, and walks away. I slowly close the door, and when I turn around-

"GOD-" I sigh, "Raven what the fuck."

"You love her?" She asks.

"How are you so quiet? Jesus." I groan.

"Answer the question." She says sharply.

"Mhm, yeah, I do."I cross my arms.

"Oh." She says simply.

"It's not like she was my fuck buddy, RAVEN." I snap, and walk into my room, shutting the door on the way. My phone buzzes.

Adria: Did Calum just go to your house?

I sigh, and pound my fist into the bed.

Me: Uh huh.

Adria: Damn it.

Me: It's fine.

Adria: What did he do?

Me: Just punched me and then yelled at me.

Adria: Sorry.

Me: It's okay.

Adria: He shouldn't be doing that.

Me: Idc.

Adria: I do.

A couple minutes pass of me not knowing what to say.

Adria: Anyway, wbu how are you holding up. Besides Calum punching you.

Me: I'm fine.

Adria: Don't lie to me.

Me: I'm good, really.

Adria: You probably miss me.

I imagine her laughing after saying that.

Me: Probably.

Adria's POV

Luke: Probably.

I smile. Wait. Does this count as cheating? Not really. I mean. We're friends. Who miss each other. I don't.. I don't think that's cheating. I hear the door open.

Me: I gotta go, sorry.

Luke: It's cool. See ya.

Me: Bye

I almost type in a '<3' but I immediately delete it. What is WRONG with me?!

"Hey." Calum smiles, and sits next to me.

"You went to Luke's?" I ask.

"Who told you that?" He asks, ignoring my question. Uh oh. I walked right into that one. Erm.

"It doesn't matter who told me, why would you go to Luke's?"

"Did Luke tell you?" He asks.

"Why were you at Luke's." I refuse to answer his question. I can't say Luke. I don't why, but I can't.

"Because." He huffs, crossing his arms. He knows.

"B-Because..." I can see my world crashing down before me.

"I know. That you guys kissed." He says simply, and walks into his room. I frown, and follow him.

"D-Do you want an explanation?" I ask. I don't have one.

"No." He shrugs.

"Uhm. Why are you being so cool about this?" I ask.

"I'm not." He shrugs again. Uh oh.

"W-What does that mean."

"I'm leaving."

"Wait- What? Why?"

"Because I don't know who kissed who, but when I walked out, you were kissing him too." He says, looking at me for the first time. "I don't think you love me." He says.

"Calum that's ridiculous, of course I lov-"

"Then why would you kiss him?" He asks, starting to pack a bag.

"I don't- I don't know, I was just caught up in the moment-"

"Yeah, see that's the difference between the two of us. My excuse, would never be 'caught up in the moment' if there's a MOMENT, you don't go for it. Hell there shouldn't be a moment anyway." He says.

"Calum please don't-"

"I'm giving you a chance to figure it out. Me or him." He says, zipping up his bag. I shake my head frantically.

"You, Calum! Why wouldn't it be you?"

"BeCAUSE, ADRIA,you KISSED another guy, and then LIED to me about it. If it were nothing, you wouldn't have hidden it." Calum says. I'm speechless. He's right. "See ya, Adria." He mumbles, and walks to the door.

"Wait- No, Calum please I'm sorry, please don't leave-"

"Call me when you know what you want, okay?" He asks.

"Calum I didn't mean to-"

"I love you." He says, looking at me, and then he walks outs. He fucking walks out. That was it. It was such a simple exit, why does it hurt so MUCH? Because you love him you IDIOT, and now you have to live with what you've done.

Me: So. He's gone.

Luke: ?

Me: Calum left.

Luke: Oh my god. Oh my god I'm so sorry.

Me: It's fine.

Luke: No it's not.

Tears start spilling down my face.

Adria: I know.
