All Hidden Away

My ears stared ringing and I felt like I couldn’t even formulate words.
“What the fuck?!” I heard Harry yell. “Guys! What the fucking hell? That is my sister! You guys-”
“Harry…” Louis tried calming him down but I could tell he too was angry.
“-barely know her! You can’t just-” he continued, standing up trying to seem bigger than he was. Louis’ grip around my waist tightened.
“Harry!” He said again. Niall stood up and stood in front of me hands extended.
“-decide this for her! Fuck all of-”
“HARRY!” Screamed Louis, finally catching his attention. He turned and looked at us. Niall was still standing there with his hand extended out towards me. Claire sat there looking positively gleeful while Liam stood and motioned to the 5SOS guys to follow him outside.
“Simon can we just talk to them quickly please.” Said Liam, not really asking. Everything froze for a second before my ears popped.
“Are you fucking insane?” I ask quietly.
“Tasha?” I hear Louis ask me.
“Are you. Fucking. Insane?” I ask again closing my eyes and balling my hands into fists.
“Well, we were just thinking that – ” started Ash. He seemed scared. I opened my eyes to see everyone looking at me not knowing how I was going to respond.
“You guys are fucking idiots…” I say. “Do you have any idea what you have just done?” I ask trying to calm myself down. I wanted to punch and kick them all, but mostly Claire.
“We just saved you from-” started Callum.
“Saved me?” I ask looking at him. “Saved ME? From ‘dating’ one of my best friends?” I ask looking at them frowning.
“Tasha… we don’t really understand-” starts Mikey frowning at me like I was the person who was not making sense.
“Of course you don’t! You have never had a contract that you didn’t want! Do you have any idea what this will do to you?!” I half scream at them trying to push away from Louis who was now holding me in a vice like grip.
“Why are you so angry?” Says Ash with a frown.
“Because you have just singed your own death wish! They will turn you into puppets and force you to do things that-”
“Natasha… that is enough!” shrills Claire. I stop and look at here, tears filling my eyes.
“You will end up destroying a band and a brotherhood if you do this.” I say looking at them. A hushed silence fills the room. “Louis, please let go.” I say calmly as everyone just stares at me. He slowly releases and I start heading upstairs to my room.
“Tash…Tasha wait!” I hear Luke follow me out into the passage.
“Luke please just let me go sleep. Can’t think right now…” I mumble as a headache suddenly starts forming behind my eyes.
“Tasha, I want to do this…” he says stepping closer and gently turning me around to face him. “I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I saw you and Niall being forced to ruin the friendship you have because of this…” he says, his blue eyes searching mine.
“I felt bad enough it being someone from my brother’s band. Someone I have known for years… I have known you for a day and you are making us do this, Luke. I don’t have a say. But you do. Please just-”
“Don’t worry about me. Or my band.” He says with a small smile. “It seemed like a logical conclusion to have made…and besides I owe them.” I stare at him in horror.
“Luke if you had any brains at all you would all just let it go. Don’t get involved. You do not owe me or anyone anything. Just please, walk away while you can. I don’t want to fuck up any future friendships.” I say tears still sitting in the corner of my eyes.
“I’m sorry Tasha… I’ve made my decision.” He says quietly. I smile regretfully at him.
“Then I am sorry to say this, but that makes you as bad as Modest! and that bitch sitting on the couch planning on how to make me seem like the most terrible person in the world…” I say turning away and going into my room. As I closed and locked the doors I sank to the floor crying for the friendships I was going to lose and the people I was going to be made to hurt.

After a while my phone starts ringing. I see it’s mum and quickly answer it.
“Hello?” I ask between sniffs.
“Hi Darling… I’ve just gotten off the phone with Lou… he told me what happened.”
“Mum I just don’t want to ruin anything!” I say more tears running down my cheeks.
“I know love… but maybe this will be a good thing-”
“They wanted me to cheat on Niall… what if they make me do something bad mum? Then I can never come out as Harry’s Sister! And they want me to be his cousin? Im so tempted to just be like ‘Hey I’m Harry’s secret sister! Oh and btw to cover this all up I’m dating Luke Hemmings…’” I say sarcastically.
“Do me and yourself a favour… give it a month, and then decide okay? They won’t say you are Harry’s cousin unless it comes up…This isn’t something we should rush… they won’t make you do something horrible, I’ll make sure of that.” She offers gently.
I sigh heavily and say “I’m just scared Mum…”
“I know darling… but Louis and Harry won’t let anything bad happen to you.” She said. “It’ll all work out, I promise.” She said. “But now it’s late, and I want you to try get some sleep. Chin up, love you sweetie.”
“Love you too mum.” I say smiling as the line goes dead. I check the time. It’s just after ten. I stand up and unlock my door before starting to head downstairs.

I hear Luke on the phone as Im about to walk into the sitting room.
“No mum… no it’s not like that. Mum I’m just helping them out… four months… yes I know it’s a long period of time… It’s Harry’s sister… No not Gemma, she’s a year younger than me… Yes you will meet her… MUM!!” I smile regretfully, and shake my head at how stupid this plan is. I walk into the room and everyone looks at me like they have seen a ghost. I give everyone a small smile and a quick eyebrow raise. Luke quickly turns round and pulls the phone away from his ear. “Im really sorry to do this… but my mum wants to talk to you before-” I stick my hand out for the phone. “It’s Liz.” He says handing it over.

“Hello?” I ask cautiously.
“Hi is this Natasha?” a thick Australian accent asks.
“Yes Ma’am, it is. Is this Mrs Hemmings?” I ask already knowing the answer.
“It is. Natasha as Luke’s mum I’m sure you can imagine I am quite concerned with this plan…” she says sounding worried.
“As am I. I personally think this is a terrible idea and that your son should really have kept to his own business and should not have gotten involved.” Everyone visibly tenses and I sigh. “But Ma’am, he seems that he is trying to do me and our friend Niall Horan a favour and I don’t think he will take no for an answer. I have just spoken to my mum and she suggests that we see if maybe this will work. I feel incredibly selfish doing this but I made a mistake when I was younger and unfortunately I am paying for it now. But please know no one asked Luke to do this… it is his crazy idea and I really hope it doesn’t end badly or that you can convince him otherwise.” I say finally finishing my rant and waiting for a response. Cal and Ash are staring at me with wide eyes as I wait for her to say something.
“Well… um. Can I quickly chat to my son?”
“Of course. Thank you for your time.”
I hand him back his phone. He looks positively terrified.

Luke’s POV

I stare at her as she talks to my mother like I have never seen anyone talk to Liz Hemmings before. Fuck we are all dead. I take back my phone and quickly put it to my ear.
“Luke?”
“Im here mum.” I say shakily, covering it up with a cough.
“Luke, I like her. I think she is possibly a better choice than what I would have picked for you myself… is she pretty?” she asks making me frown.
“Mum…I uh… I um…” I stumble trying to find words as I scratch my head.
“Does she look more like Harry or Gemma?” she asks helping me.
“Harry…?”I say with a frown in the boy’s direction. He frowns back and I shrug.
“So the dark hair and green eyes?”
“Does it matter?” I ask deepening my frown. I look back at Tash and sigh. She looks so disconnected from the world. Her eyes are puffy and glossy obviously she had been crying. But I honestly think this will help her. I don’t care what it does to me. I just want to help her.
“Luke… I think… god I cannot believe I am saying this… chat to Ashton and see what he says, but she seems so sorted… I think read it carefully. But go for it.”
“Really!?” I ask in disbelief. Smiling and giving Niall a thumbs up.
“Yes… now it’s late. You need to rest! Love you Luke.”
“You too mum… chat tomorrow.” I say hanging up. I turn to look at Ashton. “I apparently need to discuss final plans and things with you…” he nods as I take a seat next to him. I turn to see Tasha standing and walking towards the garden with Louis quickly following behind her.
