Chapter 11
Julia's POV:
It's been a little over a week now since Niall and I...kissed. It was also the last time we saw each other. Neither of us made the effort to call or text one another but I think it was better this way. I never told Christa about it because I was afraid of what she might say. Of course I didn't tell my dad, he'd probably have a heart attack. Things have just been awkward ever since. I didn't eat much, or do much at all really.
"Hey, Jules. Are you okay?" Christa came and sat on my bed.
"Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't I be?" I faked a smile, and looked down at my phone.
"Oh, please. You're anything but fine. You've been acting all weird this entire week. You're off of punishment, and you still haven't gotten out of the house." She rolled her eyes.
"Just...not in the mood. It's cold." I lied, not really paying attention.
"It's always cold!" Christa snatched my phone out of my hands. "Jules, really. What's up with you?" She sighed. I sat up on my bed so I was sitting next to her, but looked down at the ground. Should I tell her? Or would she just be mad at me? Afterall, she is my cousin...I might as well.
"Something happened last week that I never told you about..." I sighed. "Niall and I were making a twitcam, and afterwards..." She gestured for me to continue. "We kissed." I blurted it out. After a while I looked over at her but she didn't look at me.
"Thank god...I thought you were anorexic or something! You've hardly touched your food in 2 days!" she exclaimed. I just scoffed and layed back down, covering my face with a pillow.
"Christa...what do I do? We haven't talked since then, or seen each other." I groaned into the pillow.
"Well do you like him...?" She asked me, and I shot right up, uncovering my face.
"No. Plus, I promised daddy that I wouldn't date one of them." I sighed.
"Then why did you kiss?" Christa asked, shrugging her shoulders.
"It just sort of...happened?" I replied. I was just as unsure as she was. I honestly don't know why we kissed.
"Well what if Niall actually li-" I cut her off, surprised by what she would even try to say.
"Christa, don't even say it. Niall would never like me. We're best friends. Best friends don't date each other." I shook my head and laughed at her thought.
"Oh come on. You've seen the movies. The long-time best friends always end up dating." She scoffed unconvinced by my answer.
"We just became best friends, so ha. Trust me, Niall agrees with me. We both don't like each other." I smiled, and snatched my phone back from her hands.
Niall's POV:
"YOU WHAT!?" They all shouted. Did I really have to repeat it again?
"I ki-" Louis cut me off.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, we know. But why? Do you like her? Does she like you? Are you guys dating now? When's the wedding? Did you get her preg-" Before anymore comments came out of Louis's mouth, Liam hit him in the back of the head.
"Lou, don't even joke around about that. We don't like each other, I promise. It just sorta happened..." I shrugged. It was just one little kiss, and I'm sure Jules didn't think it was anything really. I feel really bad for not talking to her about it, but we've been super busy. I'm always too tired after rehearsals and such, that I don't have the energy to text or call her. I'm sure she doesn't mind though. Harry's sudden actions cut off my train of thought.
"Harry where are you-" Zayn tried to grab his arm, but he pulled away harshly. Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Liam's POV:
I stood up and followed Harry to the dressing room. We just finished rehearsing for another performance on the X Factor which would happen next week.
"Harry, what's gotten you so upset?" I asked as I sat beside him on the couch.
"It's nothing, mate." He responded. His voice muffled from his hands covering up his face.
"You're not fooling anyone." I chuckled a little, patting his back. He looked up at me, his eyes red with sadness.
"I like her, okay?" He said, as if he was embarrassed.
"Oh, my...are you serious!? Woah, I never would have guessed!" I said sarcastically. I knew the ways Harry acted, and the way he acted around Julia was different from any other.
"Not in the mood for sarcasm, Liam." He mumbled.
"Sorry, mate. But why are you so upset about it? You've never been like this with any other girl. Plus, you've only known Jules for a short time." I shrugged my shoulders.
"That's exactly it. She's made me feel a way that no other girl has. I just...when I look at her, she just lights up everything around her. She's just unlike any other..." He smiled at the thought of her, and I smiled at his expression. "But there's more to it..." He said, with his expression hardening.
Christa's POV:
"Well why don't we just invite them over, and you two can have a little talk?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her, and her eyes widened.
"No! I'm not in the mood for visitors!" She frowned at me, and looked back down at her phone, scrolling through whatever she was scrolling through. I got up quickly and went into the room across the hall, locking it behind me. I heard her footsteps, and she banged on the door. "CHRISTA! YOU GET OUT OF THERE! DON'T CALL HIM, WE'RE FINE!" She yelled, but it was all garbage. If they really cared about each other, it would be best for them to talk it over now. I scrolled through my contacts, and smiled when Niall's name came up. I clicked on it, and pushed back against the door, just in case Julia unlocked it.
"Hello?" I heard his irish voice chime through fro the other end.
"Hey, Niall! It's Christa." I smirked, knowing he couldn't see me.
"Oh, hey Christa! What's up?"
"I was just wondering if you and the boys would want to come over today?" I bit my lip, waiting for his answer while Julia yelled at me from the other side.
"Um, yeah sure. We're just finishing up here, but we'll be over in about 20 minutes." I could tell he was smiling.
"Okay, great! See you soon." I quickly hung up, not waiting for him to reply. I unlocked the door, and Julia fell in.
"I hate you so much." Julia growled at me, giving me the finger.
"Oh, I'm so scared." I sarcastically cowered at her glare.

Julia's POV:
It was just the boys coming over, so it was no need to dress all fancy or anything. I threw on a black tanktop, black jeans, vans, and some jewelry(http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=85917824).
"Jules, I think they're here." Christa called out to me from the bathroom. She was putting on some makeup, so I went downstairs to greet them.
"Hey, Jules." Zayn smiled, as the rest of the boys waved. I let them inside, and as usual, they went over to the couch and turned the tv on.
"I'm hungry." Louis moaned, leaning his head on Harry's shoulder. He just pat his head, and looked at the screen. I met Niall's eyes for a quick second, but turned away to avoid them.
Niall's POV:
My eyes met with Julia's until she swiftly turned around, breaking the eye contact. Zayn nudged me and I cringed.
"Go talk to her." He said pointing over to Julia who walked over to the kitchen. Thank god Christa came downstairs just in time, so nobody would notice me going over to Julia.
"Hey." I said, and she jumped and turned around to face me.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there." She gave me a shy smile and sat on the counter.
"Can we talk?" I asked, sitting on the counter opposite of her.
"Uh, sure..." She said, looking down at her feet.
"So the kiss...did it mean anything to you?" I asked her. I honestly hope it didn't. I felt bad because I just didn't feel the same way if she answered yes.
"No...did it mean anything to you?" She asked, finally looking up at me. I shook my head, a smile forming on my lips.
"Nope." She smiled back at me and laughed a little.
"Good, I guess?" She said, smiling.
"So can we go back to being friends again?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
"I thought you'd never ask." We both got off of the counters and hugged one another. I messed up her hair a little and she gasped.
"Niall! I hate when you touch my hair!" She said, pushing me away.
"That's exactly why I did it." I smirked, making her giggle. "Now let's go join the others."
"No, I'm mad at you." She shook her head and looked away.
"No you're not." I rolled my eyes.
"If you give me a piggy back ride, I won't be anymore." She smiled. I groaned and turned around. She jumped on my back, and put her hands on my shoulders. I walked us out of the kitchen and back in the living room with the others. They were all crowded around Christa, looking at something.
"What are you guys looking at?" Julia asked on top of me.
"Nothing. Just twitter..." They quickly went back to their seats and pretended like nothing happened.
"Okay well do you guys wanna go out and get something to eat?" I asked, and everyone stood up.
"I'll drive!" Louis shouted, running out of the door with the keys. Julia laughed and hopped off my back, running behind him. The rest of the group went in front of me, except Zayn. He stayed behind and walked with me.
"I'm guessing it went well." He smiled, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"Yup. Back to friends." I smiled, as we walked to the car where everyone else was.
"And you're okay with that, right?" He asked me. Yeah of course. I think so. I don't know. Was I?
Did I actually have feelings for Julia?
