The Love Behind Everything Else
I've Made It
*Elizabeth's POV*
I took a deep breath as I stared at myself in the mirror. Today was the day; today, after all the struggle, I've finally climbed higher onto the ladder to my dreams. Today people will know who I am and that I've officially become a singer.
"Relax, Liz. It's all going to be alright! You have nothing to worry about; it's your talent that got you noticed." Alexia, my best friend assured.
"Yeah, I guess. I'm just really nervous to be going on national television and I haven't even released any music yet!" I turned around to face her.
"Hey, stop thinking about that. You just have to be yourself and not worry about the things you still haven't done. You're an amazing singer. We all know that and you just have to go through tonight and be happy. Like I said before, it's your talent that got you noticed by the Simon Cowell. Look on the bright side, you wouldn't have to sing at weddings anymore. Oh, and may I add, Simon was the guy who found One Direction!" she smiled widely. None of us actually met One Direction, but we were huge Directioners.
"I think you're forgetting that Louis is still my best friend." I rolled my eyes, but I was really happy at the thought of finally seeing Louis again. Maybe, just maybe I could. We had been friends even before I met Alexia or before he auditioned for The X Factor. We knew each other since we were kids; we were really close and it was more of a brother and sister bond than anything and we were inseparable. He was on tour and it was killing me to not be able to see him; his messy brown hair, his beaming smile, his hugs and all his words and voice.
I was suddenly snapped out of my trance and I realised it was Alexia.
"Well, yeah. But you know he's really busy and the fact that he loves you and supports you is what should keep you going. He's on tour and stuff, but I have a feeling you guys are going to reunite once again." she explained like she took a look at my brain and read my thoughts. I smiled knowing that she was with me for a long time too. We met after Louis left for The X Factor and we've been friends since then.
"Though that's cool and all, you've never met the rest of the band have you?" she teased. I laughed. "Well maybe now we both can." I smiled.
"Sure. Anyway, you're going to be on in a little while. You ready?" Alexia got up from her seat. "Yeah, I am." I confidently said. She sweetly smile and hugged me.

"Good evening everyone! Today we have a special guest coming in. She's a new comer to the music industry and we've invited her to get to know her. Please give it up for Elizabeth Henderson!" the host exclaimed as I walked onto the set.
"Hello!" I smiled as she came to hug me. "Glad to have you here! I'm Silvia Drake." she said pulling back and gesturing for me to sit on the couch. I sat down and waited for the interview to start.
"Okay, so tell us Elizabeth what got you into singing? And when did you decide to become a professional singer?" Silvia politely asked.
"Uh, well, I actually started singing at a young age. I mean almost every kid does, but I always admired the fact that music could help express one's feelings and others could relate to them and not feel alone; like they're the only people to go through certain things, but others experience it too and songs and lyrics really help with that. And about becoming a professional, I have no idea how that happened. I used to sing at weddings and stuff and I even sang at my university's basketball game. Little did I know Simon Cowell had also attended and well he signed me up." I explained hoping it was enough. Silvia smiled and carried on.
"Okay, final question. Do you know anyone in this industry? Like personally?" Silvia questioned. I sighed, once again thinking of Louis.
"Well, I do. Me and Louis Tomlinson are best friends. And the best thing is that I've known him since we were little." I replied. Her eyes filled with shock, but she quickly turned to her usual self.
"Louis Tomlinson? As in Louis Tomlinson from One Direction? Does this mean you've met the band?" she rapidly fired questions at me.
"No, no I haven't." I simply stated.
~~~~~
"You were amazing!" Alexia jumped onto me as I got back to the dressing rooms. "Thanks! I was so nervous! I had no idea what to tell her; she fired question after question!" I whined. "It's okay. It's all over now. Anyway, want to go grab something to eat before I drop you off?" she asked grabbing her purse from the table. I nodded reaching for my own purse and following Alexia out of the building.
"You know, I think I should start writing some songs before Simon has to urge me to do so." I took a sip of my coffee. "Yeah, maybe you should. I mean no one wants to get on ol' Uncle Simon's bad side." Alexia chuckled. "Yep, totally!" I laughed.
Soon we arrived in my neighbourhood. I said goodbye to Alexia and hopped off her car. It was quiet and pretty dark, with only the dim light of the lamp posts to guide me to my flat. I scurried over to the door and slid the key into the keyhole turning it. I lightly pushed the door open and walked in.
I locked the door behind me and took off my coat and placed it on the coat hanger. I slipped out of my shoes and put them to the side. It was an exhausting day and I just wanted to get some sleep. So I walked down the hall and into my room.
As soon as I had taken a shower and changes into my pyjamas, my phone began ringing. Being who I was, I let it ring a little while as I had No Control as my ringtone. I sang along with the song, but I quickly received the call as I didn't want to keep the person waiting. I didn't bother to check the caller I.D. and I placed the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked curiously. "Man am I happy to hear your voice again!" it was him. It was Louis. I could recognise his accent, his voice anywhere. "Oh my god, Louis! How are you?!" I cried. "I'm great, and I'm really proud of you! Saw your interview on T.V. and you were fabulous!" Louis complimented. "Oh stop it! You're making me blush!" I said. "You are? Haha, same old Liz." he chuckled.
"Anyway, how are things on tour? How are the other guys?" I inquired. "Oh, they're all good. I actually made all of them watch your interview after the concert." I could tell he was proud of doing so, but I just rolled my eyes. "Classic Louis." I remarked. "Aww, thanks! Anyway, we'll talk later okay? I bet you're tired and so am I. Get some rest Elizabeth, bye!" He chirped. "Bye, Lou! Love you!" I exclaimed before ending the call.
I put my phone on the side table, remembering to set the alarm. I then jumped into bed and pulled the covers over myself, slowly drifting off to sleep...
