An Unexpected Meeting
The Night Before
After hours of mingling and a high alcohol intake I must have lost consciousness at the party and fallen asleep in one of the boys spare bedrooms. I'd met some absolutely fabulous people the previous night, including Liam's long term girlfriend Danielle, she is PRECIOUS. She was so incredibly nice to me and I vaguely remember the two of us taking drunken selfies and deeming each other alcohol best friends, how incredibly funny. As I roll over in this massive bed I see non other than my drinking buddy fast asleep next to me. Although I'm really glad I've made friends with the lovely girl, I'm somewhat disappointed not to find Niall next to me.
I gently shake her shoulder desperate to gain knowledge on Niall's whereabouts...
"Danielle, Danielle wake up" I say not as quietly as i'd hoped, alcohol is definitely still running in my system.
"Jeeeeesus Carr, you'd wake the dead and what did I tell you last night about calling me Dani!?" she hushes back.
"Sorry, sorry, Dani. Do you know where Niall could be, this house is so big I've no idea where to
look" I mutter back.
Dani gives me a mischievous grin - "Well he told me he wanted to share your bed with you but I told him he couldn't and sent him off Liam's room claiming we needed 'girly chats'.
A question was burning on my chest, "Dani, is Niall actually into me, or am I just being silly hoping something will come of this"...
She replies quickly "I've not seen him like this before, but if you want a definite answer then lets go ask him" and with that my new friend drags me from the bed and pushes me up the corridor. We stop outside Liam's bedroom door upon hearing hushed voices coming from the room. As we pause in the doorway we both not so subtly press our ears to the door for a better listen.
..."She's literally the most amazing person I've ever met, she is obviously gorgeous and we just clicked from the moment we met" I can hear my cheeky Irish crush muttering.
without noticing I've sucked in a breath and not let it out, desperate to hear the rest of the conversation.
Liam replies with a sensible "Do you know how she feels?"
With that Niall just goes Silent...
I am literally screaming inside, isn't it completely obvious how I feel? I glance a look at Dani who is giving me the thumbs up and urging me forward. I shake my head, do I have the confidence to just walk in there and tell him how I feel? I'm rapidly losing the inner battle I'm having with myself. Noticing the obvious disappointment on my face Dani bangs on the door three times then makes off down the corridor leaving my outside the boys room, stranded. She is in SO much trouble when I next see her, so much trouble.
Liam answers and politely excuses himself and pushes me in the door just as Niall turns around and discovers it's me. He shots me his crooked grin and pairs it with a
"Good morning beautiful" as he pats the space on the bed next to him. I quickly and unsubtley hurry to his side, desperate to be near him, his happiness is infectious.
"Look Carr, I just wanted to say I am SO into you, I think you are such a wonderful girl and I guess I'm just sort of wondering when you think of me..." he mutters and looks down at his hands as he nervously plays with them.
I place my finger under his chin, lifting it up so he's looking me in the face and adopt the suave and simple...
"isn't it obvious?" hoping it sounds as cool coming from my mouth as it does in the films...
With that he tangles his hands with mine and presses his cool lips briskly to mine and pulls me back onto the bed, just holding me in his arms. Life has never felt so perfect. Myself and Niall lay there chatting for what feels like most of the day, just content with each others company when my phone buzzes in my pocket.
Upon checking my phone I discover I've received a text from my best friend Emma, with a blunt "When were you going to tell me about you and Niall Horan? Obviously not before the newspapers printed a hundred stories about it", I am in so much trouble, this girl could make hell freeze over and then it hits me...
