Jessa’s POV

Zayn and I were closing the shop so it was just us. When it was time to go, he walked me out to my car. He grabbed my hand while he walked and made my stomach flutter with nerves.

“So what’d your dad say?” He asked nervously.

“He liked you.” I smiled, stopping at the trunk of my car. “He approves and so do the guys.” A smile stretched across his lips.

“That’s great!” He wrapped his arms around my waist and spun me in the air.

“Put me down!” I giggled clinging to his as if he would drop me if I didn't.

“Sorry.” He laughed putting me down. “Wait, I have to do this right.”

“Do what right?” I was so confused.

“Let me ask you right. Dinner and a movie? Or...?” He looked confused too.

“You can just do it now if you want.” I shrugged.

“It’s not romantic here.” He sighed.

“Does it look like I care if it’s romantic?”

“Fine.” He took a deep breath and moved his hands to my hips. “Jessa, will you be my girlfriend?”

“Sure, why not?” I laughed. “I’m just kidding, of course!”

I giggled leaning up to kiss him. He pulled me closer to him as our lips crashed together. My arms wrapped around his neck so I could be closer to him. When we leaned out, we met eyes and smiled at each other.

“I have to go.” I mumbled quietly.

“Do you have to?” I nodded to his question. “Fine. Do you work tomorrow?”

“Nope.” I shook my head.

“Me neither. Can I come over tomorrow?” He asked shyly.

“Yea.” I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, when I checked it I saw that it was a text from my dad. “I really have to go, I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay, I’ll call you later.” He leaned down and kissed me again. “Drive safely.

“Okay, bye.” I smiled walking around to the driver’s side door.


“Knock knock!” Jaime’s voice rang through the house.

“In the kitchen!” I called back while I poured my smoothie into a cup.

“Hey Chica, what’s up?” He asked excitedly.

“Relaxing for the night.” I shrugged grabbing a straw. “Want one?”

“No. Get your shoes on, I’m not letting you sit here alone on a Thursday night.” He always knew how to make me feel better.

“But I just made this…” I pouted as he took my smoothie from my hand and set it on the counter before turning me around.

“Just go.” He laughed nudging me out of the kitchen.

“Fine.” I grumbled walking to get my shoes.

I ran upstairs and grabbed my purse from my bed. Taking a look in the mirror, I shrugged and slipped my shoes on before leaving the room. I walked back downstairs and found Jaime standing at the door with my smoothie in his hand.

“Here, I’ll drive so you can drink it.” He smiled opening the front door for me.

We walked out to his car and got in. Instinctively, I set my feet up on the dashboard, buckled up and relaxed. Jaime buckled up and started the car before messing with the radio until he found a good station. I watched him back out of the drive way and drive down the street.

The song played in the background, making me feel like I was in a music video while I watched things pass by the car as we drove toward town. I loved listening to music and not having to drive because it relaxed me to watch things pass by.

“Hello?” He answered it on speaker phone.

“Have you talked to Sis?” It was my dad.

“I’m right here dad.” I made Jaime laugh.

“Oh hey. We need to meet at the house soon, I just got a call from Vic saying that something happened.” My dad seemed nervous.

“Okay, we’ll be home soon.” Jaime rushed him off the phone.

I love writing this story so much. The next few chapters, I've only written up to chapter 16 so far, are absolutely amazing. Jessa and Zayn take their relationship to a new level, they travel, he's even more accepted by everyone, even Vic and some big news comes out.
